  • MacBook Air screen stuck on the circle with bar oblique?

I bought a MacBook Air on Friday last and just received in the mail today. I started up and followed all the prompts that he gave me. He then went to a screen that says "set up your Mac", and it was on this screen for hours then I looked at how to fix it. I found an article that said hold down the CTRL + SHIFT + option, press the power button, then release all buttons. I did this and then restarted my laptop. It made the normal chime, then shows the apple with a loading bar logo under it (as when you update software), then it goes to a screen with a circle that has a slash through it. The cursor does not appear and it does nothing. I don't know what I've done for her, but no matter who else has experienced this problem and found a resolution?

  • My MacBook Air screen looks like "safe mode".

I ran diagnostics & everything checked. I've upgraded to the latest operating system. The display still looks like crap. Can it be some setting? I'm not a geek (but I gave birth to a few) so I would appreciate some advice on where he can blame. OH and I just upgraded to el Capitan, hoping to get rid of some malicious software, but it's still there. Can this be the problem, I first have to solve?

I would get rid of the malware in the first place, because in general it is very annoying to have on your computer (I guess you get all sorts of pop-up windows or your computer is idle). It is also possible that it influences of various parameters, display for example settings. What is the malicious program, you've found? Have you tried to run Malwarebytes to remove it?

You can get Malwarebytes here (it's free): https://www.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/mac/

If Malwarebytes doesn't help, don't worry, you can always remove it, it just means that you need to find the files to remove yourself. Tell us what malicious software you have and we will help you.

With respect to the screen, I would try a different screen resolutions. When you go into the system, display preferences, you should be able to select a resolution. I recommend reading this article: http://www.imore.com/how-change-display-settings-your-mac

Not knowing what it is and he suspect a malware, I clicked block.  The window went, but after a few days, she came back again and the cycle repeated.

Please tell me what "Hustle" is.  Is it malware?  If so how can I do to go?   If it is not a malware, should I click on block to install it?

In addition, what is 'remember '?  When and how you should use it?

    Thank you.

Sorry, I found a typo in my message.  "If this isn't a malware, should I click block to install it?" should read "if it is not a malware, should I click on allow to install it?

  • MacBook Air randomly fades everything down

Yesterday my Macbook Air has randomly started dimming all the way down to the lowest setting.

The screen is always on (I can barely make the content). If I hit the drive 'down' a couple of times I can then use the 'up' dimmer to return to normal brightness. However he then randomly will drop down to zero once again.

I use a second monitor (as well as the use of the screen of my Macbook Air at the same time) and only the Macbook Air screen decreases intensity, the second screen maintains brightness and conviviality.

  • MacBook Air 13 inch screen keyboard brands

I just bought a macbook air for the College and as anyone who has already purchased an expensive product, I want to take good care of it, then it will last me a good amount of time (at least until I've finished law school). After some research on the web, it has come to my attention that the keyboard can scratch the screen when the laptop is a full backpack (quite a typical scenario in the lives of students). Should I put a cloth Microfiber between the keyboard and the screen when I close the laptop or should I invest in a screen protector or is my stupid just afraid with no. anchor in reality? Thank you in advance!

Do not use Palm or Cap covers on a MacBook Pro with Retina - Apple Support display here, is what Apple thinks about it actually, I guess that the cloth would increase the pressure and it can cause more damage, especially if it's the MacBook Air. And I also think that a cheap and quality product should not damaged so easily. Worry is not about this, your MacBook is self-sufficient
