MacBook Air randomly fades everything down
Yesterday my Macbook Air has randomly started dimming all the way down to the lowest setting.
The screen is always on (I can barely make the content). If I hit the drive 'down' a couple of times I can then use the 'up' dimmer to return to normal brightness. However he then randomly will drop down to zero once again.
I use a second monitor (as well as the use of the screen of my Macbook Air at the same time) and only the Macbook Air screen decreases intensity, the second screen maintains brightness and conviviality.

I am currently on a trip abroad in India (originally from the United States) with my macbook air. About two days after my arrival, my computer started to shut down at random and on a regular basis. As far as I know, there is no reason for the stops - they occur if the computer has a lot of left of the battery, when it is almost empty, when it is plugged in, when it is not plugged, etc. When the computer is plugged into a power source, it usually automatically restarts and resumes operations normal as if nothing was. If it is not plugged in, just off the coast.
Except once, he were not error messages that accompany the stops. An error message I received said something along the lines of 'your computer closed due to a problem'.
There is no apple store where I travel, so take my computer to the genius bar is not really an option. No information on what might be the problem or how to fix this problem would be highly appreciated.

Mid-2012, MacBook Air of random stop
I tried to find a solution to more than a year. My MacBook air has been cutting randomly without warning.
At first I thought it was overheating, so I installed Mac Fan Control and cranked up the fans, but it always stops around 60-70 ° C temperature of CPU, which should be good. MacBook Air 5.2 not shut down or restart.
Hello.
My MacBook Air 13' with OS 10.11.5 won't close (or restart) - usually. I have had this problem since Yosemite, but don't remember exactly under what version it began.
To be more precise: current stop, all icons disappear (as usual), but the image of the Office remains active. I can always start other programs is Finder that is affected. Trying to Force Quit Finder does not help. Repeatedly (say 99 / 100 to give a number) it closed normally, but nothing in fact different... Judge without plugging anything if there's a device problem. Saute all automatic connect points. Cleaned cache and preference files dead (using Cocktail).
What is a way I can follow the Shut Down procedure to see where it falls? Activity monitor?

Found the solution in an another tread with (almost) the same Air. Uninstalling the Wacom driver (in my case using AppCleaner) solved the problem. I wasn't the way of editing, since the latest driver for my bamboo tablet was the same version I had installed... (5.3.6-6). maybe a new installation works, but for now, I'm better of without the tablet. Thanks to click!

My MacBook Air (2015) will freeze randomly on me unexpectedly. I noticed that it was mainly when I use Safari. Y at - it a bug in the computer or in Safari? All suggestions are welcome!

Hi all
I had a problem with my Macbook Air early 2015 since nearly a month. I freeze random OS experience (I'm under OS X El Capitan 10.11.4): the cursor moves and the keyboard is unresponsive, so I can't do anything at all. The only thing I can do to "unlock", it requires the laptop to restart (by turning manually him off and then back on). This problem occurs more or less one or two times a week and I didn't notice a particular task or request that I am running that may cause the gel. Usually, it happens while I'm surfing the web with Safari, but not all the time.

You use 3.82 GB to 4 GB of your memory. Something is to take all this memory, causing your computer slow down and eventually freeze. To see which uses the most memory, open the activity monitor by searching for it in the spotlight. Select the memory tab, and then click memory for sorting by the user higher at the lowest. What is at the top should not be more than 600 unless you use some videos crazy editing/rendering programs. You can 'leave' a process of this window if it takes a lot of memory. If you leave something, you will lose everything you were doing in the process (e.g. Word, Safari, etc...) Google Chrome is one of the largest memory there suckers. I don't know if you're using Chrome or not, but I give you just a heads up.
If you see multiple instances of Adware, remove them.

IntelHD chips in MacBook Air start just less efficient?
So I have a Core i5 MBA. 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, and it is probably the strangest machine I've ever owned.
Speakers just didn't work at all until yesterday when like magic, it started working, which - as a technician 16 - who actually me mystified but little matter... audio works now, so I do not take it any further.
The problem, for that I'm here, it's that it's all around slow. Moving in the dock, the magnification is extremely agitated, scrolling is jerky, move the mouse happens to a framerate so poor that I'd swear I was on an old Compaq to 20 year.
To tell the experience that I have-it feels like any Windows machine would be if it was freshly restored without the graphics drivers... except on a Windows machine, I can just track down the hardware of the device ID, find the graphics driver and everything is smooth again... but I'm not too well versed in the language of Macish. What I did the research, the graphics for my Intel HD3000 machine driver is bundled with updates so that it seems that I must rely on kext tools at the terminal to * maybe * trigger my graphic extension.
None of this seems lead me anywhere I tried internet replicated several times, followed with every update available 10.7 has access to... and evidence of pages of search results at least 15 of things without success. Everything that happens seems also my brick machine, if I try to upgrade to El Capitan on the App Store. Tested the SSD to see if this might be the culprit, checked everything very well. I think that the integrated gfx would mean that if my gfx card was dead, I wouldn't be able to pass material Diagnostics (or even put on with success).
Only thing I have not tried until now becomes the DMG for ElCapitan and create a bootable disc see if the last just quick MacOSX solves everything (that I'll do tonight).
If that gets me nowhere... What could be the problem?

These days I have trouble with one of my MacBook Air. I plug a new as my girlfriend needs a job.
Anyway. I have updated to OS X El Capitan and struggle with the wifi. I made an appointment at the Genius Bar closest to you to solve the problems in the system.
As I had to download the OS X on my Mac Pro, I had a problem with the wifi these permissions switch and system information. If you scroll to the installation, there should be a list of installed software. In my case nothing.
After that the genius of Apple erased the disk and started the installation via ethernet with an Apple Server, I got a new version of OS X El Capitan on it. Everything appears fine (system information).
The Wifi worked perfectly in the store.
So, I got not any chance to try at home immediately. Today, I wanted to put the macbook for other facilities. I noticed that the wifi is extremely slow.
I deleted the cache (which does not yet exist). I have reset the starting power setting. I have reset my Airport express from Apple. I changed the DNS to google DNS (8.8.8.8./8.8.4.4.). I too turned off bluetooth.
All without any modification.
BUT if I'm right in front of the apple express (literally sitting on the router), the wifi works without any problem.
Please, I beg you! I have no idea what to do next. My other Mac Air and pro work perfectly. Any distance. (They have been disabled for testing). iPhone, iPad and Apple TV work fine.
I seem to have this problem with my MacBook, a model of early 2015. What I was told is that the Wi - Fi antenna is nested in the compartment of the screen, located on the edge, practising thus pressure deforms it. I upgraded 10.11.4 on my Macbook Air a couple of days. It is a model of 2013 Mid, 1.7 Ghz Core i7, 8 GB of RAM.
I don't know exactly what my last update was - but was El Capitan any.
I tried LANDAU and SMC resets.
