MacBook Air stuck in the installation during the upgrade to windows 7 to 8

I have windows 7 installed on my macbook air and today I got windows 8 pro upgrade for upgrading my macbook air to windows 8 and made sure I had bootcamp 5 installed. the first time I tried to install it went well until I got to the section where it says customize when you start windows 8 and none of my keys or trackpad work in it, I can't get past the section even pressing on enter. the second time I tried to install trackpad ++ is supposed to be the best driver to trackpad for windows 7 and 8 and thought that could make me past the Customize step and who does not. and I went as far to plug my usb wireless mouse that works with windows 7 and tried at my friends House who has windows 8 and y and the custom still mouse appear.  What should I do to get my trackpad work / what can I do to get past the custom screen. If I turn off my macbook air and then when I restart it says windows 8 installation failed, return to the original windows operating system (windows 8)

(the preferences screen)

-p.s. I write this on another computer and my mac is a macbook air mid 2013 with all installed bootcamp drivers

This seems to be a known issue with trackpad Apple for Windows drivers and apparently only for Air. It is recommended to plug in a USB mouse, go into Device Manager and disable the devices on trackpad (Apple Multitouch and Apple Multitouch mouse under Interface devices), install the updates, restart the PC and then re-enable these devices. (then you can detach the USB mouse).

Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other.  Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes.  But I don't think it will be a problem.

  • MacBook Air (old 2009) the Lion OS upgrade

I have an old Macbook Air 2009 running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  I also have a Macbook Pro, who ran the Mavericks when buying, but I've updated free in Yosemite.

I would like to know if I can rank up to my old Macbook air Lion to the Mavericks.  If not, I have a Snow Leopard drive, should I switch to that instead or it would be wiser to stick to Lion?

If you are satisfied with the MacBook Air running 10.7 performance upgrade 10.8 ( Mt Lion) are at the Apple Web site. I have provided the link. Mavericks (10.9) has a lot of memory more 10.7 and 10.8 were probably not be a good idea to upgrade to. Snow Leopard was 10.6 so would be going backwards. If your computer is too slow with 10.7 then back to 10.6, which is even less destitute of resources that 10.7 is would be a good choice. The thing to remember is that Apple is no longer provides updates for older versions of the operating system which make the computer more vulnerable to security problems.

This can also occur if an incorrect device driver has been installed for the DVD-ROM device.

I suggest that you visit the DVD drive manufacturer site download the latest drivers for the drive and install on the computer and if it works. Make sure you download the Windows vista 64-bit driver.

Files should always be saved externally because a hard drive can die at any moment.  All files that are not saved are to be evaluated as worthless.

But you can save files on hard drive USB flash or external operating system starts plu using copy paste & - in the Windows Recovery Console with your support of OS install kicked, or by downloading and burning to CD with Windows Image Burner Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition free 11.0 on another PC.

If you have the Windows 7 DVD or CD repair, try to run Startup Repair to obtain best results.  If this fails and you still want to try and fix it so all that can be done here is for Troubleshooting Windows 7 fail to start .  I'll help guide you through these repairs, if necessary, to answer here, because I'm more seven forums.

At some point, you can jump to a clean reinstall Windows 7 which includes everything you need to get and maintain a perfect installation.  Be sure to remove all partitions during the installation of punt.

Once installed, completely updated, activate, then follow the upgrade to Windows 10 - Microsoft

You can get around get Windows 10 app in the system tray to install Windows 10 using the media - Windows help authoring tool.

Check the box in the first option to automate the process or select 'to another PC"to create bootable flash media or download an ISO to burn it to a DVD with the drive of Windows Image.  Now you have media to reinstall or need repairs.  But to run the upgrade, it must be opened in Windows 7/8.1, click right installation to run as admin file.

To improve chances disable the upgrade everything at startup:

In Windows 7, type msconfig in the start search box, clear all the options on the tabs Services and start-up, after masking all the Services of Mrs.  Apply and restart.

Uninstall any antivirus except Defender.  Bloated AV like Norton, MacAfee, AVG and Avast need to have special tools to remove uninstallers (removal tools) for common - antivirus ESET Knowledgebase software.

Stick with the Defender into Windows 10 for better performance and protection.  If get infected you add inexpensive real-time protection of the best-in-class free Malwarebytes malware scanner.  I would also periodically scan with SUPERAntiSpyware or the most powerful AdwCleaner, also best-in-class and free.

    Hello

    ·        You said in your application that you have upgraded your system to Windows 7, did you perform a custom (clean) installation or install an upgrade?

If all your folders and files are missing, this indicates that you have selected the custom option that completely replaces the previous version of windows.

All of your personal files must be stored in a folder called Windows.old, if you did a custom (clean) installation without formatting the hard drive. You can retrieve all personal files in this folder.

I suggest you return the item mentioned below.

  • Process held during the upgrade to Windows 7 windows.old files

In the months I have updated Windows Vista to Windows 7.  Unpon update I found the C: drive was almost filled to capacity and had established that about 155 GB of files are now in a folder called windows.old when I saw the C: drive with explore.  I was able to recover some of the files in subfolders: Documents and Favorites and hoped to return to garner extra of the content I rmembered I could use if migrated on space available.  Subsequently, the files: Windows and Windows.old were more visible.  It would be nice to collect a little more elements of the 'old' files, but of equal importance would be the prospect of eliminating the overhead of the files ~ 155GB now unusable.  (1) how I see these files?  (2) how can I erase what I don't want when I see it?  (3) is there a risk to just delete the program files that are stored in the Windows.old folder?
