MacBook freezes when connected to WiFi

A MacBook Pro bought at the end of 2013 which, until the beginning of the week, a little while after the upgrade to 10.11.3 (no idea if that is related or not), my laptop has started to stop randomly, or so I thought.  Then the weirdness happened when I went to work to try to get fully backed up with my drive Time Machine here, and it does not crash, all day.  But when I get home?  Crash in a minute or two out of my bag.  Work the next day, once perfect yet.

I finally sharpened in what the problem has been connected to a wireless network, either at work or at home.  If I am connected via ethernet, there is no problem at all with the thing (as was the case since I have the laptop), but if I connect to WiFi?  Laptop stops, screen off first, apparently very high treatment and then powers down.  If I turn it back on and let the computer laptop, same again.  If I turn on, quickly turn off the WiFi, I can then go about as usual.

Someone had something similar to happen to them?  Any idea how fix his?

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ System

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports. A report of panic has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends with ".panic." Select the most recent. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

If you don't see any report, but you know, there was a panic, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway.

When you post the report, an error message may appear on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Still play songs from my iPhone when connected to wifi

Had this problem before, but it stopped happening a while ago only to re - emerge with the iOS 10 update.

I'm running on an iPhone 6 and used to play my music library on shuffle.

Over the years, I've deleted some songs from my library of songs, but they remain available for re - download in iCloud.

However, from time to time, if I play songs on shuffle when connected to wifi, one of these songs removed will be available on my phone and play.  It does not download to my phone and still only available for download on iCloud.

Is it possible to stop these removed songs to play on quite my phone when connected to wifi?

I'll add that I'm not on all subscriptions either except to increase my storage iCloud.

I believe that you open the music application, select "download music", then make your choices from there.  If you do not select the "download music" it will first play all the songs that you have purchased.

  • Damaged my iPhone 5.  Receipt of replacement and went through the steps of activation.  All transferred very well - I thought.  Now, the phone only works when connected to wifi.  Help!

Damaged my iPhone 5.  Make an insurance claim and received a replacement.  Has passed through the stages of restore/update / back.  Everything seemed to go well.  However, I can only send/receive texts or to use the phone when connected to wifi.  Saved settings and recontroler.  Nothing works.  Help!

    Hello

I'm sorry to hear that you are not able to use your cell phone... Well well... like a cell phone.

I suspect the 'texts' you send and receive through iMessage, not your cellular service provider network. When you look at the top left of the screen, it does not say 'search' or does it see the connect to your provider's network?

Have you tried the steps If you cannot connect to a cellular or cell - data Apple Support Network?

  • Xperia Z3 and Z3c distorted voice calls when connected to WIFI

I bought a Z3 Xperia, the device, but faces a MAJOR problem with voice calls distorted when connected to WIFI of love. The person across the call I can hear fine, but on my side of the call line is all distorted and blurred. If I turn off WIFI or disconnect WIFI then voice call works perfectly well. This problem only occurs when I am connected to WiFi. There seems to be several reports of this issue on the forums of Whirlpool and mainly for Optus customers. Xperia Z3c my partner is also having the same problem. I returned a Z3 because of this issue and received a replacement, but the problem persists on the replacement so I think that there is a software problem that needs attention and needs to be repaired as soon as POSSIBLE!

This is a common problem again, Sony have yet to get their act together to solve the problem. very bad support indeed... and its happening on virgin too because that Virgin uses the cell of the optus towers

EDIT: Just noticed an update is available on XperiFirm (23.0.1.A.5.77) available for the custom/generic to THE D6653. I hope that this solves the problem, as it seems to be a major release version. Download, flash and report.

  • MacBook Pro freezes when connected to external speakers

    Hello

This happened to me twice in the last two weeks, both times in the same circumstances. I take my mac at the Apple Store tomorrow, but I found it worth to post the question here:

My Macbook Pro freezes when playing iTunes AND connected to an external audio system. Won't happen only when it is connected to the headphones or when you use the internal speakers. This does not happen immediately. It took about 10-20 minutes, and the specific song ends to play even if the computer is already frozen. I wonder what follows:

This could result in the latest version of iTunes (12.3.3.17)?

Or is there something funky going on with the material of my Mac?

FYI, I have a Macbook Pro, 256 GB early 2015 and I've just updated to the latest OS (El Capitan 10.11.4)

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Could be due to the failure / faulty USB hub or cables (USB or audio, regardless of your game to the top). Try to connect without a hub (if you are using one) and with different cables.

Given that the issue does not appear when you use a headset, I don't think it is related to iTunes.

  • Notification of update come when connected to WiFi

Should I really connect to a WiFi network for the notification of update happen or normal mobile data would do that?

Because some Web sites say that notification update only appear if the phone is not connected to a WiFi network.

    Please answer soon.

    Thank you.

Updates start automatically when connected to Wi - Fi. You can change this in the settings of reading Google.

Do not have a Wi - Fi for all update as ROM update, update of the app, whatever it is. But Android will give you a notification on your connection. If you use a cellular connection, you will get a notification for download via Wi - Fi. This is because the cellular network connections can break in the middle of download and restart you the download. This can affect your data plan and download them. That's why they ask you to download via the Wi - Fi network. But still you can download them through cellular network ignoring the message.

  • My Acrobat XI freezes when connected to internet

    Hi all

A week ago, my Acrobat XI started freezing when it suffice to read PDF files.  After that multiple charging & re - installs, I discovered that freezing only happens when I am connected to the internet.  If I disable my internet connection, I have no problem at all.

What can I do to fix this?  I have used several versions of Acrobat for the past 14 years, and this is the first time that has happened.

I appreciate any help that can be provided.

    Hi all

I found my solution.  I remembered that I am registered in "Adobe Online Services".  That's the problem.  Once I signed out of it, my problem went away.  I have no idea what is wrong with this option, but it was true nearby causing Adobe to lose a customer long term.  I seriously doubt that they care little ole me, but it would have been for a stupid reason.

  • MacBook Pro crashes when connecting to WiFi at home

    Hi all

    Short:

When I connect to some of my macbook pro WiFi networks freezes.  By freezing I mean all input devices stop working: no touchpad, no keyboard, no external mouse, no keyboard.  My laptop stops 30 seconds after the Frost is out of the reboot.  The problem is worse at home.  He will die almost instantly if I try to use my home network.  On the road, it can take an hour or two, then freeze!  At work, life seems almost endless, but it froze.  More details to follow.

    Symptoms:

    • When I connect everything first a loading bar is shown, sometimes it will freeze it and start/stop.
    • Shortly after I log in, before you do anything, but moving the mouse, it will freeze.
    • Sometimes I can not connect and it will work fine for a few minutes, until I use all that internet: firefox, safari, mail, any software that checks the license through the internet, then it freezes.
    • Other times, I can work on the internet without pain for hours.
    • Sometimes it will work very well, I will walk away and the machine goes to sleep.  When I wake up, it will freeze.  With and without the WiFi on.
    • Sometimes it will work very well, I'll close the lid for a certain period of time for 1 minute to 24 hours and sometimes when I open it it will freeze.
    • It crashed when booting in verbose mode.  Died when something with bluetooth.  I tried only once.
    • When in recovery mode (CMD + R), I can run the utility disc fine, but if I want to reinstall OS X, the minute, trying to download (after signing with my Apple ID) it will freeze.  It's the only way I've been able to reliable and predictable way to reproduce this problem, however, as on my home network.
    • There is never crash logs in the console.  I have never one "your machine should be stopped."  The only way that I know that there was a problem is that I will ask you to log in and when I do, none of my programs are still open.

    Where this happens:

    • On my work WiFi network, it's hardly a question.  Happened at least 5 times in the last year.
    • During a journey (so any number of networks and equipment) will occur once an hour.
    • At home, he can go months without a pass and then, as yesterday (24/04/16), occur continuously for hours on end.  (I have just let my laptop open and hear the chime start about once a minute).

    What I tried:

    • Reinstalled OS X.
    • Run diagnostics (CMD + D)
    • Reset the PRAM and SMC
    • Run recovery stuff (CMD + R)
    • Safe mode has the same problems; When internet is used, it freezes.
    • That thing where you delete all of your connections wifi, both in the Terminal and in the GUI.
    • Disable IPV6 on my Macbook Pro
    • The laptop is not hot.  Power supply or the battery power does not make a difference.

    Other stuff:

    • I have an old Macbook Pro (running Yosemite) who doesn't have these problems.  There is another Windows Mobile and apple and windows Phone which does not have these problems.
    • Using WiFi at home and Arris TG1682G me provided by Comcast/Xfinity.
    • My laptop froze all the time and then I went to another network (neighbor thank you!) and everything seems fine.

As my computer can still freeze on other networks I'll post this now and change it.  I don't want to lose that.

I can't find a button change.  Shortly after I posted this my macbook pro has frozen and restarted.  I was not on my wifi at home.

  • Laptop freezes when connected to internet via WiFi

I use the laptop Dell inspiron 15r, with Windows 7 ultimate on it. Whenever I connect to the internet via WiFi, after a while, most of the programs I use freezes, and the internet connection is cut off. The same control panel functions do not occur. Also is not possible the normal closing, and I have to force close down at length by pressing the power button. This situation arises that if I use the WiFi. When I use a LAN cable, no problem. This situation is quite irritating, like many times I have no other choice than to use a wi - fi connection and whenever I use it after a few minutes, I have to restart with force, and the cycle repeats. Please suggest a solution. Thank you.

    Hello Brad,

I tried the thing of diagnosis, but could not get anything out of it. The problem is now solved because I updated the drivers of network on the Dell site, but currently I am confronted with some problems, that I used to.

Thank you much for the help.

    Kind regards

    Sunil.

  • Slate 7-2800 - Settinsg stopped responding when connecting to Wifi

I have a 7-2800 slate that I just got yesterday.  WiFi connectivity works fine at home.  However, I'm at work, try to connect to our wifi and it works at all.

When I try ti connect to our main network, I get error that "Unfortunately, the settings has stopped" as soon as I enter my password and click on connect.

Fixing a few screenshots.  The network worked very well for my phone and no one else is having problems with other devices, but I don't think that someone else has a slate.

    Pleae help.

There are a few threads discussing this error.  This one, for example:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Android-tablets-e-g-HP-slate-7/WiFi-Setup/TD-p/2606371/page/3

It appears usually when you try to join a wireless network that uses EAP and MSCHAP encryption schemes.  Does your office use?

One solution is to download a free software called "Wireless Manager" from the game store.  Please check the thread for instructions.

Hi, sometimes when I wake up my computer and try to access the internet I get a message that I am not connected to the internet, and the page cannot be displayed.  Then, when I click on the message to solve the problem, when it gets to reset the adapter connection area the computer freezes.  I have to turn the computer off and restart and it usually solves the problem the first time.  How can I solve this problem?  Thanks in advance.  (The Office is a HP 2009 m)

  • Windows 7 freezes when connected to a network

I have a computer that is running Windows 7 x 64 edition and an Acer notebook running Windows 7 x 86 edition and I have this problem on both of them.  The BIOS is upgraded to the latest version, all Windows updates and the latest drivers are installed.

If I connect a router that is permanently connected to the internet (internet is provided through the connection standard network) or one of the computers, everything works fine.  My computers are always on and even for the days without rebooting.

However, as soon as I connect to the internet manually (or a virtual private network) via the network and sharing Center (which means that my network sharing Center shows that I am connected to my network and the second connection), the computer hangs after a few moments.  If I nothing, just leave the computer on idle when you are logged in this respect, it can take anything between 5 minutes and a few hours before it freezes.  If I'm working on the pc, usually only a few minutes.  If I listen to music (for example Winamp) while working, less than 5 minutes.  This happens regardless of what application I work in (Visual Studio, Outlook, Excel, Google Chrome) and no matter if the request, I work uses the network that I am connected or not.

OK, the gel.  What happens is the computer crashes completely.  The mouse pointer stops to move and no keys or whatever it is that you can get the computer out of the gel.  Must reset hard.  No event log is created.  If music was playing before the Frost, the last note that was played just repeat until reset.

It's not a too big problem on my pc that I'm usually connected to a DSL router, but on the laptop that I use for travel, it is a huge problem because I connect to the internet using a 3G dongle which shows as a network that I am connected in the network and sharing Center.

Laptop is an Acer Travelmate 6592 G.  I used to run Windows Vista x 86-based computers and never had this problem.  I had this problem on my pc and laptop with Windows 7 x 86 edition, and then a clean installed x 64 on a new partition on my pc.  The problem is there from the beginning (before anti virus or all other installs).

My apologies.  I should have updated this thread.

On my side, it seems that AVG was the question.  As soon as I removed AVG, the problem disappeared.  I am now using Avira on my pc with Microsoft Security Essentials on my laptop... Did not have a single freeze since about June and my computer is never turned off.
