MacBook Pro, Adobe Illustrator Maverick

I think buying a new MacBook Pro, my Adobe Illustrator will work with the new system of Apple's Maverick?

Thank you.

Hi Troubleshooting,

It depends on the version of Adobe Illustrator you use, check the system requirements here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-illustrator.html

The link above has requirements for all versions.

However if I use the configuration editor to 'layers.acceleration.disabled instead of 'true' set', as suggested in the first comment on bug 693852, the problem of high Perf GPU disappears.

  • Import mail from an iMac Macbook Pro

    Hi all

I need to transfer all my mail from my iMac to my Macbook Pro.

I don't have preferences or rules etc. I just need to access reference purposes.

I am aware that I can export a mailbox of the iMac, transfer the file and import it on the Macbook Pro.

    I have two questions:

    1. her leaving a large number of emails, totaling more than 10 000 about 8 years. This will cause a problem?

Not sure about the size of GB that I currently do not have access to the iMac.

    2. I heard there may be permissions with this issues. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Both computers are to me, but my name of Director is different I think. They are all two SNYC would be via iCloud however. (except Mail :-)

    Thanks for your help.

    1. There should not be a problem, but it will take a long time to load.

    2. after the export of the mailbox and copying it to the Macbook Pro, do a Get Info (command - I) on the mailbox to change permissions if necessary. Then, click on the gear down and select apply to included items.

  • I'm unable to open Adobe Illustrator on my newly replaced hard drive in MacBook Pro.

I am unable to open Adobe Illustrator on my newly replaced hard drive in MacBook Pro. I get "Error 16". I get a window that says: error in Configuration please uninstall and reinstall the product.  If this problem persists, please contact Adobe technical support help and mention the error code displayed at the bottom of this screen.  Error: 16 http://www.adobe.com/support/

If you tried to transfer the software from one drive to another while it is probably the cause of the problem.  Adobe software must be installed using installation files.

Did you uninstall and reinstall as the message suggests?  Uninstall and use the CS cleanup tool before you try the reinstall.

  • I installed a trial of Illustrator from Adobe on my macbook pro. I want to draw a picture using the custom trace button but can not. Does anyone have any ideas how I could track custom?

I installed a trial of Illustrator from Adobe on my macbook pro. This is the release of 2014 of the adobe Illustrator. I want to draw a picture using the custom trace button.

I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/color pencil, drawing, in the document. I tried to scan and then placing it as jpeg, bitmap and a tiff file. I tried scanning and place then, in color and in black and white. The scan mode that I use is flat. Adobe Illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of the eleven preset buttons (e.g. photo high fidelity), but cannot me click on the record button custom. The custom trace button is gray while all other buttons are white.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could track custom?

Just it trace, and then change the options later. The follow-up is 'live', you can press the buttons and see what happens.

  • Adobe CS6 Illustrator will not open on MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8

I just installed CS6 Design and Web Premium on my MacBook Pro running OS10.6.8. InDesign open very well, but in the dock, Illustrator and Photoshop have diagonal lines through them. I tried to open Illustrator and received this message: "Unable to open Adobe Illustrator CS6 application because it is not supported on this type of Mac." My MacBook Pro is 3-4 years old - 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, model identifier: MacBook Pro1, 1. I double checked the operating system required by 10.6.8 CS6 and it is.

System requirements... Processor multi-core Intel with 64-bit support

Core Duo processors don't support 64-bit. Basically, if you can run OS 10.7, CS6 apps are very good. Your machine will work not 10.7 (due to lack of 64 bit support). You need to a Core 2 Duo or higher. If you indeed have a processor Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro, much older than 3 or 4 years. The Core Duo MacBookPros were machines of 2006.

  • My MacBook Pro is too old to run the latest version of the Adobe Creative Cloud?

    Hi people,

I downloaded a demo of Illustrator a few weeks ago and it kept crashing.

One of my colleagues has suggested that my computer is perhaps too old already...

But I got more ready-made creative cloud in 2012. And I think that I abandoned it in 2014.

Maybe my laptop can't handle the current version? I also wonder if it cannot even manage the last update of macOS... been a little slow since I upgraded.

    Here are the specs:

    What do you think?

It makes sense to buy one that suits at the time where you can afford.

Be aware that office creative Cloud such as Photoshop and Illustrator won't work on the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro works mobile operating system from Apple iOS, so it will only work the cloud of mobile applications.

Adobe mobile, iPhone, iPad, Android apps | Adobe Creative Cloud

It cannot run any desktop cloud that require Apple's OS X operating system.

A well specified MacBook Pro will give good service and run applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator Office...

  • I have Photoshop/Illustrator CS5.5 and work on MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5. I want to upgrade to El Capitan OSX 10.11.3. My Photoshop/Illustrator won't be compatible?

I have Photoshop/Illustrator CS5.5 and work on MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5. I want to upgrade to El Capitan OSX 10.11.3. My Photoshop/Illustrator won't be compatible?

Long discussion about it here: is El Capitan compatible with Adobe CS5? Apple Support communities

The problem is that once Adobe removes in a CS, but is no longer being updated for the future versions of OSX. This means that if something new in El Capitan causes CS5.5 does not operate normally, you are out of luck.

10.9 is good that at least you can run Chrome or Acrobat DC where 10.9 is the minimum. It is always the test.

Do not go to 10.11 if that's your only Mac and that you make your living with her.

I can't import pictures into LR 5 of the hard drive on Macbook pro Maverick. There is none of the error messages.

    It's weird.

Suggest you to reset the preferences of Lightroom.

Before that, go to Lightroom > catalog settings > General and make a note of the location, so that you know where your main catalog is stored.

    Then, follow these instructions:

    1. exit the Lightroom program

    2. open Finder

    3. click on menu go (top) and type ~/library and click Go.

    4. open the Preferences folder

    5. rename the file com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist in com.adobe.Lightroom5 - old.plist

Then open Lightroom again and try to import again.
