MacBook Pro goes black rear boot.

This is my daughter pro MacBook.

I remember exactly what OS it is running, but I think it's 10.9

She returned to be there and told me that one day it just started doing this:

After starting and the normal boot process, the screen goes black and a few seconds later, a dialog box appears (on the Blackened screen) indicating:

"Untrusted caller.

SecurityAgent only can be invoked only by the Apple software.

Before and after this dialog box the screen remains black, with only the visible cursor arrow.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Try this: restart in Mode without failure, then reboot normally.

You said "model is MacBook Pro 6.2 but it is not supposed to be in the defective series.".  This is not true.  The model identifier 6.2 was a replacement for the defective discrete GPU program.  The solution is a replacement of the logic board, or as a temporary measure to use this app to disengage the discrete GPU:

    https://gfx.IO/

You can remove the following software and see if the panic stop:

Also, disconnect all devices and see if the panic stop.  Then add them individually to determine who is the "problem child".

  • Error: "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot move forward"during the installation of Windows 8 64-bit OEM System Builder on Macbook Pro for help using Boot Camp

    Hello

I have a brand new Macbook pro and I bought the OEM System Builder of 64-bit Windows 8 driver in a store. My problem is that I have not only not able to install it using Boot Camp. At the end of the installation, a message appears with the following text "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot continue.

I'm not really a tech guy but I also tried to download virtual box and the same error comes back.

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you!

Original title: Windows 8 64-bit English OEM System Builder

The thread is old now, but it is for those who always have this problem.

When I got the error, I cancelled and restarted the machine. I pressed the 'option' button when starting upwards and he grew the boot partitions. You should see a 'EFI Boot' partition. Choose that and you restart the installation process, but this time it works.

Supposedly the boot EFI and WinInstall partition should do the same thing. Manually, select one or the other.

  • MacBook Pro going on my Network Configuration

    Nice day

    21/04/2016

I printed a Test Page from my Samsung printer Laser and this network setup page printed on my MacBook Pro Login password in its entirety.  How can this be?  Anyone can print a test page from my printer and know Login password for my Mac.  I also noticed that the following items have been disabled and I was wondering if this is related to my password appears.

IP - disabled (Protocol IPSec) security information

Filtering IP - disabled (IPv4 filtering) (filtering IPv6) information

Information filtering MAC - disabled (Mac filtering)

Please someone help because it makes me vulnerable to someone steal my password and maybe yours.

    Thanks in advance...

How do you print a test page? The test page does not print your password for the computer. If your printer is connected to your local network router are you sure that it does not simply print the ssid. The info you have posted does not affect printing any password, nor is he compromising safety.

  • 2010 Macbook Pro will not complete Boot

For awhile, it should boot into Setup from the hard drive, but now we can't start at all in anything whatsoever. Often the progress bar will be stuck around the Middle, but when it does not go beyond, the bar fills completely, but it does not start. I tried to reset the PRAM, SMC and boot into safe mode. Safe mode gave me a screen of panic, I'll post below. We tried to boot from a well-known player, external installation media, and even an installation DVD and nothing has worked so far. Unbootable in no recovery mode.

  • MacBook pro grey after sleep screen

I have documented on this problem for some time now on the MacBook screen goes black or rather a visible backlight gray but black screen after being in standby mode. I tried the reset SMC and command + Option + P + R. I am owner of a mid 2014 13 "macbook pro retina.

    Hi Youngnn,

Welcome to Apple Support communities. It is my understanding you are MacBook Pro shows a gray screen after being in mode 'sleep'. I want to help get this resolved with you.

You did a great job with the steps taken so far. At this point, I recommend this test in safe mode. Start in safe mode prevents the opening and start-up items to open automatically. Safe mode also allows your Mac to conduct some controls. If the problem does not occur in safe mode, it is possible to a startup item or logon are the cause. Please follow the steps below to start in safe mode:

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists in safe mode try this test to another user. This will help determine whether specific user files, settings and apps cause this problem. Please use the link below to test in an another user account and additional steps:

How to test a question in another account on your Mac.

    Have a wonderful day!

  • Macbook Pro 17 "since mid-2007 update

    Hi all

    I currently have a MBP 17 "bought mid-2007.

So far, the computer is doing well (for a 9yo computer). I just upgraded to El Capitan without problem. However, for some years now, my computer is slow (which is I guess than expected).

    I was trying to update.

    Here is the info:

    MacBook Pro (17-inch 2. 4 GHZ)

Processor 2.4 GHZ intel core 2 Duo

    Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256 MB

I would be interested in upgrading my RAM and also do a SSD upgrade.

    RAM upgrade

As I understand it, with my mac, I go to 4 GB of RAM. In this regard, I have 2 questions:

-is it worth it for me to update the RAM (I am currently using on average 1.7 GB / 2 GB of RAM)

Should-2x2gb RAm I buy? I looked a little, but I can't find exactly the name of 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM for 2x2gb... Would be Crucial 4 GB Kit (2GBx2) DDR2-667 SODIMM memory for Macdo the trick?

    SSD upgrade

Today, the mbp is a 160 GB SATA drive. For me, 160 GB is quite small, I'm always struggling with space when I barely programs on.

Is it worth updating the SSD in my case?

If so do you have any recommendations on what SSD to buy it?

I've never updated before mac so your knowledge and your comments are very much appreciated!

Thanking you in advance for your help

    See you soon!

    Hi Aqualover001:

Congratulations on maintaining your Macbook Pro going for so long.

You can actually improve your memory 6 GB. http://eShop.MacSales.com/search/MacBook+Pro+2007

El Capitan uses a lot of memory. I have a Macbook Pro 2011 and had 4 GB of memory and found it was not enough. I upgraded to 8 GB and it works well.

I don't know if you can add a SSD, but I found a video on installing a hard drive, but it seems a little involved. Here is a video to view. https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=K9r1UAVq9AU

Maybe someone else who has a 2007 can comment on the SSD.

Since the upgrade to Yosemite, my macbook pro goes to the loading screen grey which usually appears when opening my laptop after that he almost dies everytime I wake up from sleep mode. I tried a n y t h i n g for a few months, revisiting the forums etc. The message in the system log, leaving the "driver GPU seems to be suspended. Does my Mac Pro completely unworkable. It was a software problem because it does not occur in safe mode. Now I just went down to the Mavericks and the problem is completely resolved. I can use my computer again.

Everything is updated. Freshly installed Premiere Pro CC 2014 through the creative application of cloud. When I run the application, I get the initial screen with the beach ball and it never opens. Fan of my Macbook Pro goes haywire, and no other applications won't work (including the activity monitor). I have to manually, press and hold the power button & force shutdown every time.

I was going to finish some changes at home this weekend, but now I have to get back to the Office Sunday & work on my another troubled system. Therefore, on these issues with Premiere Pro. Help?

Thanks guys, but none of the recommendations has contributed with the exception of Jason on the copy of the user data on. I called Adobe tech support and while I had my head turned work something else, the guys reset some of my adobe via the Console app and Ottoman info, the app has opened. I was amazed because my technical support calls are usually long and often no fix is reached. This time, the guy slayed it. Feels good to win one!

  • MacBook Pro - display goes black

I have a Macbook Pro 1 year.  At the start, everything seems normal. I put my password, the desktop appears briefly, and then it goes black.  It works fine on account of "safari only" invited.

Any thoughts on the difficulty or trouble shoot?

    Thank you

  • Black screen on startup after update of nvidia driver geforce 8600M GT XP home with Bootcamp on dual-boot MacBook Pro 3.1

My computer is a 15 "MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo dual boot Windows XP family. I recently upgraded to Bootcamp 3.1 that caused a major graphics display problem: the screen resolution has been set to 640 x 480 and wouldn't all interface fit properly on the screen, making it difficult to use to completely unusable. Finally, I figured out to roll back the Nvidia GeForce 8600 M GT driver of the 197 present in the previous version of 195.

It's all working again.  XP, the interface and all my apps worked fine.  However, a couple of my applications asked me to update the driver, and I am just curious stupidly.  So, I turned on the system restore, backed up my XP using Winclone partition and tried to update the driver again. This time, the problem is even worse. Once XP has started, the screen goes black and I don't have access to the operating system at all.

Is it still possible to roll back the graphics card driver without wipe partition, completely reinstall XP through bootcamp Assistant and then reload my clone? I have the XP installation dvd, but do not know how to proceed with him.

    Thank you

OK, I solved my problem. I managed to solve this problem by booting in safe mode using my installation cd.  This got me to the home user interface screen where I could access the nvidia folder and reinstall the previous version of the driver.

Hope this helps someone else out there with a similar problem.

    Good luck.

  • MacBook pro retina display (mid-2012) goes black

All by using the computer to randomly screen goes completely black.  After a few attempts at tapping trackpad or a bite or two, screen turns on but then log on to the computer. Program I was running is still there and continues on. It is very random and I fear that a logic board or the video card component may be out.  MacBook Pro retina display mid-2012, 16 GB 1600 mHz DDR3 RAM, graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 1024Mo of 650M;  2.6 i7 running OS 10.11.2

    Hi James,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! I'm sorry to hear that you are having these problems with your MacBook Pro. I'm a bit ambiguous on the screen exactly who you see when you log in, but according to your description it looks that your computer may be involuntarily go to sleep. If this is the case, you can find the troubleshooting steps in the following article useful:

As mentioned in this article, another possibility on laptops like the MacBook Pro is that the screen closed sensor may be triggered unintentionally. There is a small magnetic sensor in portable computers and sometimes, being close to things like briefcases magnetic closure or magnetic jewelry can cause him to think that the display was closed, which then puts the machine in a locked sleep state. If possible, you can test the issue on an office open without any potential source of interference.

My MacBook Pro (15 "Early 2013) retina will have a black screen randomly. It won't restart and reset PRAM does not alter. To do this, the startup sound, but that's all. In addition, hang on to an external monitor does not display. Is there something else to try? It's a new OS (El Capitan).

Some things to consider: the battery can be 10%, 50%, 100% is not bad, the computer starts after being off for a long time (2-3 hours).
