MacBook Pro retina end of 2013

Hey, I'll buy a used MacBook Pro from a guy on Craigslist. He says that he will wipe away the SSD before you sell it to me, do you think that I should always wipe and it is necessary to re - install OS X?

This is how it should be configured when you take possession.

What to do before you sell or give away your Mac - Apple Support

The seller must perform all the steps in the link above and when you turn on the computer, that's what you should get: "When the new owner turns on the Mac, the Setup Assistant will guide them through the configuration process."

    Hey friends,

I'm trying to put up in my office and I would like some insight or feedback if the following configuration will work for me.

I have a MacBook Pro 15 "with the retina display (end of 2012) and want to connect:

2 x 29 "Samsung Ultra Wide monitors LS29E790CNS/EN (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/it/monitor/curved-monitor/LS29E790CNS/EN) 2-port Thunderbolt on my laptop over a 3rd Samsung TV UE40JU7000 (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/televisions/uhd-tvs/UE40JU7000 TXXU) via the HDMI port on my laptop."

All these will be connected through the horizontal Hengedock dock (https://eu.hengedocks.com/pages/horizontal-macbook-pro-retina)

This configuration will work as I'm a believer or would I have problems? Anyone tried this configuration that could give me your comments?

Thanks in advance for any help you could give me.

    Hello Jofcom.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I see that you want to use your MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012 retina) with several external displays. I would like to help.

I would like to share your MacBook Pro specifications techniques page.

MacBook Pro (15 inch, mid-2012 of the retina) - technical specifications

Graphics and video Support section indicates that your MacBook Pro supports up to two external displays:

    -Intel HD Graphics-4000.
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic switching.
-Double display and copy video: support simultaneous native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 x 1600 pixels on up to two external displays, with millions of colors.

    Have a great day.

  • Is my MacBook Pro 15 "end 2013 compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices (if you are using an adapter)

I have a MacBook Pro 15 "end of 2013, 16 GB, 1 TB SSD, 2.3 GHz i7 running OS X 10.11.4." My SSD is maxed out so I plan to buy a box 2 Berry drive Thunderbolt and secure it with a 1 TB SSD.

I know Thunderbolt enclosure 2 still available, but lightning 3 cases are starting to hit the market. I wonder if a Thunderbolt 3 box will be compatible. Because I'll probably replace it the MacBook Pro 12-18 months and I assume - rightly or wrongly - that Apple will adopt 3 bolt of lightning on the MacBook Pro, Mac Pro and iMac during this period, I would prefer Thunderbolt 3 for scalability.

I am aware that the cables are physically different, and 3 bolt of Lightning has adopted the USB - C standard. My question is: if I buy the cable or a suitable adapter, I'll be able to use a box Thunderbolt 3? (I know there will be no performance difference; however, it is scalability).

Thunderbolt 3 is backward compatible with earlier versions of Thunderbolt.

  • MacBook pro 13 '' end 2013 display is distorted, restarts suddenly

    I have a Macbook Pro 13 "end of 2013 (ME864TU/A)

I meet sudden reboots, which was not only a big problem lately, but he began to do this quite frequently, and now my screen gets distorted before those

sudden reboots. And now, after the last restart suddenly, my left USB does not recognize any device. (My mouse was connected to there for 6 months and worked very well, and I used this port with my drive external HARD, not that too does not work). While what is happening, I look at something or listening to music, so I think that it is not connected to the programs I use. It does not occur on a specific program. It's just random.

I am really frustrated. This happened to me before, and the top box Service modified Apple (I think it contains, keyboard, drums and some other hardware) and it seems to work fine until last week.

I would add here last kernel log.

How can I install/uninstall and will I lose all my old films (for the most part stored on external hard drives). Thanks for your suggestions.

You will not lose anything, but the app if you uninstall. If you decide to uninstall use this app to make sure that all the other files which depends on FCE are also deleted however I can't give you any assurance as to whether you will be able to reinstall so that it works correctly. It is a software that has not been supported for almost 5 years and there are conflicting reports as to its compatibility with OS X 10.11. Can't I test it myself.

Maybe someone else will chime in with their own experiences.

  • 13 "Macbook Pro retina heats up on the bridge and google maps satellite

    Hello!

    I have a 13 "Macbook Pro retina

I noticed that when using google satellite view maps (no matter if in Safari or another browser) my Mac begins to quickly heat up to 102 degrees Celsius (I use https://www.seense.com/menubarstats/ to measure the speed of the CPU temp and fan, but even without any application, you can easily feel the high temp and hear the blowing fan) the fan also starts to blow at maximum speed. When I left the site everything returns to normal.

Same thing happens when I discover the overpass in Maps.app. When I left the temperature goes down to normal.

I can compare the situation with my MacBook Air a years more and I have none of these problems in this regard. Strange that both Mac have only the Integrated GPU. No idea what may cause heat upward? Dealing with the satellite or view 3d demanding for rMBP but not for the older MBA buildings? Both on the latest version of the model

    Thank you!

    Hello there, villovsky.

Looks like you see increases in temperature and fan problems when using particularly intense applications on your MacBook Pro. The following Knowledge Base article offers up to large initial measures for troubleshooting:

  • 10.11.3 update fails / MacBook Pro retina

I would like to warn anyone to make SURE they have a good system TimeMachine backup before attempting this update.  This update 'brick' to my MacBook Pro retina 2013 (3) times.  Two times try the download from the App Store and once using the .dmg from Apple's Support page.  There is something seriously wrong with this update.  I've got 10.11.2 running... so the day.3 is not much more than a notch.

The installation reboots the machine, then begins to install.  It gets almost full with less than 1 minute left and restarts.  Once restarted, all I get is a black screen with a mouse pointer which is subsequently transformed the beach ball.

If I hold the switch and restart, I get my connection profile, but if I tried to connect, the system is right there.  It's the end of it, and I had to restore from Time Machine to recover the system every time.

I just had similar problem. Has not really noticed how the update happened, but there was only a black screen with cursor but it restarts fine after a while. But the system was barely noticeable. None of the applications system would run a corruption of statement. Finder would only answer but each click took about a minute. Had to restore the whole Time Machine.

  • my macbook pro retina display will not download large files

I had this problem happen to me twice before involving 1gig zipped files or files unzipped pretending to be finished in the download bar. It shows for example 309,5 309,5, the loading bar does not disappear. I try to click on it and it tells me "this son is still downloading. So I get in my downloads folder, click on the contents of opened, I look for the file and click on it like that, it gives me the possibility of reactivation of the zip folder, I do this, then it gives me an error message saying "files are not completed. (I give him hours and hours to 'finish loading' and then try again)

Then... This has been recently. The first file I wanted to download was the Creative Design Premium Adobe (I waited half a day until the next day for this download click again on it) that is given to me directly in the downloads section of the adobe.com site. I need to reinstall the software due to an unknown error (YOSEMITE LIKELY) anyway... I start downloading, it ends - but not really. Something is happening. So I try it on Chrome, same problem. So I try it on a PC - made. No worries.

So far I have not seen this question arise with someone else.

The zip in question file is .7z and 335.9 MB file and the creative design premium is a 3.76 GB .dmg. I am running Safari on a

MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2013)

    10.10.1 Yosemite

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Start in Safe Mode, no doubt also resets of LANDAU and SMC , and then restart your computer normally.   See if the problem clears.

If there is no anti-virus or anti-malware tools installed, any improvement in performance, of cleaning cache, optimizers any system or other such tools add-on, remove all those who, according to the instructions of the specific package.   Try the download again.

Try downloading on a different network.   If it is a company or a network of offices, there may be filters and monitors in place, which can cause problems with the downloads.

If all else fails, after the release of Etrecheck, and we will look to the configuration and what is installed.

  • U2415, MacBook Pro retina, flashing or unavailable video

    Hello

I have a MacBook Pro of the retina (end of 2013). My company bought a Dell Ultrasharp U2415 for me. I unpacked yesterday, plugged, used for about 2 hours, then the video started to blink.

The flashes are the same as those described in the post of this Forum of Support from Dell and see in this youtube video. I've attached a video of my actual flashing monitor.

This morning, I came, only connected to the external monitor (literally the only device plugged other than the power adapter), and started working. I have 5 minutes of solid video before the flashing began. I tried reseating the cable mini display to end the monitor and the laptop and now the screen gives an error message "No. DP Cable.

I tried restarting the computer and using a different cable; no attempt to solve the problem.  Is there a solution to this problem?

    Thank you.

Fix. We do not know what problems you may face. The only Dell monitor we validated on Apple was the UP2715K. You should ask users to Apple here. If there is no specific fixes Apple / workaround solution, they need to know.

  • Notes to close unexpectedly on the Sierra of MacBook Pro retina

I can't open my Notes on Sierra MacBook Pro retina. I got this error after autoQuit "notes close unexpectedly". Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Hello iCodyRo,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand your message that you cannot open Notes on your MacBook Pro after installing macOS Sierra and get an error saying, "Note close unexpectedly". I know how it is important for you to be able to access your notes after upgrading the software on your MacBook Pro. I recommend that you restart your Mac in safe mode and it. Then, restart your Mac as usual and test again. The following article includes the steps to restart in safe mode:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

    Start in safe mode

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

    Best regards.
