Hello

Recently, I improve my Mac Book Pro.

Afterwards, I had to raise WIndows, but was prompted to enter the serial number... finished

Now, I am attampting to access the results of the medical tests online that are presented in PDF format for my clients.  Send it in a kit of analysis and laboratory analysis.  I access the results via you logging on Diagnostics of Genova website and clicking on the results.  When I do, does not open the PDF of the test results, and instead, I get the following message:

Before continuing, you must first launch Adobe

Question... How can I do this?

Hi Jeff

Thank you for your response. I ended up working with a guy in India to solve the problem. Despite my origins EE, Im lost when it comes to software. Looks like everything works now. Cynthia

  • Startup MacBook Pro-comment problems prevent health going to disk/check once again

My 13 inch Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.5 (said mid-2012, but it was purchased in fall 2014) has had problems starting

A few weeks ago the computer is stuck on the loading screen (white, with the Apple and the buffering of spinning icon) without marketing properly. After you have manually turned off and left for a long time he worked well on the next test, so I took care of it has been saved and so didn't think much, and it works pretty well in recent weeks, sometimes being a little slow but that very occasionally and not debilitatingly so and it probably is not related to this problem.

This morning it was still once stuck on the loading screen, and try again in 5 or 6 times solves nothing. The VRAM reset did not help either. After an attempt to boot into safe mode (filled a little progress bar then disappeared and the computer continued to buffer without purpose), I once again reset the NVRAM and tried a different boot safe mode, with the same results. But this time I left it half an hour or so and on the next attempt (start normally) it miraculously worked a new and everything seems functional. After a new backup with a preparation period slightly extended backup (at least half an hour on the first abandoned attempt, then at least 15 minutes, until correct on the second trial has started), although it is common on my computer, I have enough fear turn the computer off and tempt fate again, if I want to see what can be done now.

What should I do to check the health of the disk, potentially fix it, find out why this is happening and avoid this problem again in the future?

I decided to watch from the disk utility and am confused by the Setup program. There is an 'APPLE HDD Media HTS541010A9E662' entry in the list, with a "MacIntoshHD" paragraph below, and both have different information displayed... I ran check disk on the higher level entry and it seems to be out very well ("the Volume Recovery HD seems to be OK"), but I haven't run one on the low level input as it says my computer may be "slow and unresponsive" while doing so, and I'm not entirely sure of what use there.

It cannot be storage associated with as I stil have 610 gb of free 1 terra (although a large part of what I have (130 GB) is in the other category for a reason any).

So a week ago, I got my board logik replaced under the scheme where Apple do for free and when I got back that I updated the OS to El Capitan, and since then, my macbook was restart itself after the screen messes up, as there lines horizontally will go across the screen, the screen turns blue with vertical lines or he'll usually scrambled and the right part of the screen is on the left and the left side is on the right. This happens usually when I watch shows online, I bought a new external hard drive yesterday to replace my old and I did a full backup time machine, which took about 6 hours, I left alone and did not touch my MacBook all the time so he was backing only, and so it didn't plant once then when I look at something online it could crash a couple of times in an hour. • MacBook Pro display problem

    Hello members of the community.

As of recently, I have noticed some glitches when feeding on my MacBook or awakened from his sleep.

The colors are distorted, usually with pink, green, or yellow blobs. Blobs cannot entirely replace the colors, they appear to be contained in a element would normally be. For example. the menu bar will be partially pink and white, but pink does not leave the menu bar in this area, and the Office has green lines on it.

I tried to take a screenshot, but the problem resolves in about 20 seconds, but it's a recurring problem.

It happens when I wake up, connection or not. I had also certain powers serious and problems of performance, such that my MagSafe LED would not illuminate when plugged on rare occasions, fan could turn unnecessarily, graphics performance were SUPER slow, and the health of my battery was running out quickly. I actually ran a report on the system at 2 different times and my quality of full load is depleting of 1.2% per charge cycle, which is very worrying. I went from 6281 mAh mAh 6138 maximum capacity after two cycles of load. I'm tracking closely it because at this rate, my battery will survive only at load cycles about 150 instead of the 1000 expected, gives me the idea that this could very well be a bad battery. The computer is also warm to the touch while you sleep, not connected to the power supply. I NAP active but even taking into account should not be hotter my iPhone did the same thing.

I have reset the SMC, and it solved a couple of problems. The charger works fine now and my performance improved considerably (which made me feel better, either it is a high-performance laptop, a 11-inch MacBook Air should not he surpass), and battery life has improved. I feel even if it uses a lot of power in his sleep. Maybe I need to turn off the NAP and see if that makes a difference. The graphic bug still persists however, and I don't have enough time to see if the max battery is depleting again.

In regards to the bug, is there something that can be done? Basically, I want to assure you that I took all appropriate measures or if someone else has this problem to see if it can be software related instead of my computer.

I have the entry level MacBook Pro with the retina, last generation.

    Any constructive contribution welcome!

    See you soon.

    Hello

Just to let you know, OS X only requires about 9 GB of free storage space. That does not take into account photos, music, documents, notes, etc.

    Help here > http://pondini.org/OSX/DiskSpace.html

Restart your Mac after the deletion of data to see a difference in storage space.

  • End of 2011 MacBook Pro update

Can I use memory Module Apple 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (PC3-12800) - 2 x 4 GB to upgrade my end 2011 MacBook Pro (4 GB / 1333 Mhz)?  The representative said it's for 2012, but I read here that some have used it without problems on years later.

Mac can be very picky with ram, unlike Windows machines. For that it works better with no trouble now or later, be sure to buy ram designed for Macs. Match sticks and speeds. Some Mac does not start if a faster ram is used. Go with 2 x 4 GB 1333 mhm, same SODIMM, made for Apple products.

  • MacBook Pro update 10.6.8.

My Macbook Pro 10.6.8 is too old for the updates of security for Safari and Chrome.  What can I do?  I can't afford a new computer right now.

Switch to Firefox or upgrade the operating system of the computer.

To upgrade, open the Mac App Store and try to download El Capitan. If you get told that it is incompatible with your computer or not desired, choose about this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or CPU Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) and 2 GB of RAM, and if this is the case, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7; the Apple Online Store also sells codes for 10.8 Mountain Lion to download, but it has the same system requirements as El Capitan.

Back up your data and control your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer do not support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

  • 10.11.6 to early 2016 new macbook os update problem

    Hello

I recently buy a new macbook 12 ". So far the only problem I have is upgrade to the latest OS. I click on update for it in the App store and it shows the time it takes to complete the update. When she is close to completing the update, it stops completely. I repeated the process a few days now. I keep my macbook restarted and update again, but the same thing happens. I tested on my macbook look older. I have a macbook air for two years. AppStore shows that the update as available and as I click on it. No problem at all. Managed to finish the update in 10 minutes or less and it restarts and the installation process occur as it supposed to be. So I don't know if it's the new macbook problem. Hope someone can help me on this issue. Or should I return or communicate directly with Apple? As he was buying a few days ago. Need help.

    Thank you.

    Hello luvang31,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

If I understand correctly, you are unable to update your new MacBook.  I have a suggestion that should help with this.

The first thing I would do, it's what is on the backup computer. Nothing that I will propose should result in no data loss, but it's always a good idea to have a backup.  Your computer has software called Time Machine.  It is a fantastic software for backing up your computer.  Information on how to use Time Machine is available here:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Once you have the backup, the next step would be to start the computer is safe mode and install the update from there.

OS X El Capitan: start in safe mode

    1. Choose the Apple menu > shut down.
    2. After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.
    3. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.
    4. Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once in safe mode, you should be able to install the update and then restart normally.

    Have a great day!

  • After El Capitan on new Macbook Pro Mail problems

Mail doesn't work properly anymore now that I use a new mid-2015 MB Pro with El Capitan.  Non-Pourriel, including remittances from my own account to myself, is marked junk and put in the Junk folder. Mail that is not marked as spam is also put in the Junk folder. I can't find the rhyme or reason for the choice of the filter. I always install the latest updates on all of my devices. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

There are two ways to designate as junk mail. One is based on the local 'training' that you used in the Mail application. These emails are marked in Brown, the other method is by e-mail based service provider on whatever rules or databases they use. These emails end up in the Junk folder, but are not marked in Brown.

The only way to deal with the second type is to open a session in the portal provider email, change your preferences or update the address book provider.

  • 2012 Macbook pro display problem

Hi everyone, so I bought a used Macbook 2012 pro and this is my second day with her. I picked it up upward with one hand the other day (I know you shouldn't) I tried to grab the book I had sitting under. Anyway, when I did, I got vertical lines running through the screen! I ask it immediately and simply applied a bit of pressure again left (I held from same side) and it happens again. The right did not have that. In addition, the computer went ahead and rebooted on its own a few seconds later. I'm new to Mac and I was wondering if it's just because I put pressure or if the previous owners damaged in anyway. I have 14 days to return if I have a problem.

    Thank you in advance!

  • OS for mid 2009 MacBook Pro update

I work for a non-profit on a laptop given to us by a local research laboratory. So the first thing to understand is that I have to find "the best way to make things work" even though it is not as advanced or great power that may be desirable in an ideal situation. Who says:

I've been running OS 10.6.8 on a MacBookPro mid-2009. From now on, the software companies are all pulling the versions of software that I can use on 10.6.8 so I have no choice but to update my operating system.

My concern: two years ago I updated a MacBookPro 2007 10.6.8 to 10.7 (Lion) and he died 3 weeks later. The technology at the Mac Genius Bar told me that it was because the real hardware - hard drive of the machine - was so old that the upgrade has been too hard on it and it burned. I understand that, even if the hard drive is not burning after an upgrade, the computer may run very slowly and for the same reason (physical constraints). It would also be a problem.

Given all this, what is the best suggestion for the safest possible and achievable OS upgrade, that I can put on my machine so I can stay in business? Can probably manage 10.7, even if the material is nearly 7 years old? What 10.8.5 10.8 or same?

I realize that system specs say it can work even in Yosemite. But I don't want to take the risk that go well, given my recent disasters.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

You never mentioned the amount of RAM the machine has-

You can always switch to Mountain Lion 10.8 - here

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/D6377Z/A/OS-x-mountain-lion

There is a cost, but I don't know if you call or otherwise contact Apple with your situation - you can get a redemption code - well no harm in trying
