MacBook Virus?
Hello! So my macbook has acted very strange. I've been on the internet. I was surfing around when suddenly something pops up that says my computer had malware. This kept happening several times. The message says: Attention! Your computer has detected malware. To remove, please call this number. Software malware has been on a site you visited today and has infected your computer. I just pressed ok to the message that he would NOT go away little matter what I did. Then I leave google chrome (my browser). I opened it and the same thing happens again. This time the ads kept popping all over the place. Should I have a combination of adware and malware? What should I do now?
Popups are spam.

Looking at it

Initially, you Mac Pro came with an SSD.
Just what failure symptoms are you having? Maybe your SSD did not fail.
If necessary and if yo are up to it you can replace the SSD yourself

Very loose hinges and possible virus on the Macbook pro
Hi all
IV ' e noticed my macbook pro screen hinges become very loose and the screen comes back without any force. How much does it cost to repair? Also, how a cleaning of the computer at a cost of virus? I did not buy my computer from an apple reseller but my local Best Buy.
Thanks again!
"How much does it cost to fix?
First of all, check your warranty coverage > https://checkcoverage.apple.com/
If your warranty has expired, take the Mac at Best Buy for repairs. No one here can tell what the repair might cost.
In the second place. What happens on your Mac that makes you think that there is a virus?

My end of 2013, MacBook Pro is running slow and I keep getting messages that he has some virus. My AppleCare Protection cover that and I think I need a full "tune up." Is it covered? What should I do?
These messages are SCAMS to . Do not call them. All they want is to deceive you by giving them money.
If you use Safari, force quit and relaunch the SHIFT key now.
Ciao.

I think I might have a virus on my Macbook
Hello
I have a question in order to get a virus on my Macbook.
Today I went to a Web site where I clicked on a link and a pop-up window appeared. After a few seconds, a message has occurred which said something like: "you have a virus on your Macbook. You must analyze your Macbook for virus. ». I don't remember if he said exactly that, because I panicked, but it was something like that.
Could there be a virus on my Macbook? And if so, what should do about it?
Silke Posthumus
1. No, unless you use Windows on it.
2. According to the #1, ignore it or run a tool of anti-malware for Windows.

Virus/Spyware/MacBook Adware
I have a Macbook Pro. I had my brother borrow computer and when I got back, I have several different things that make me believe that he has caught a virus. When I go on some websites, open a new tab and either be a flash or downloader mac download download or redirect me to several other sites.
Also, if other popups for sale on ebay, amazon, or walmart appear.
Finally it doesn't let me go to specific sites and block download.com, google.com and much more. It usually still allows me to facebook or gmail.
I am very good with computers, but don't know how to remove the Macs. What are the best options. I really don't want to reinstall.
Thanks for the tips!
Rest assured that there is no Mac viruses in the wild. What you may be experiencing is just adware/malware, which can not do damage, unless you meet their ties or recall their phone numbers.
Quit the Apple Safari > force quit menu. Relaunch Safari since the Dock icon while holding the SHIFT key.

Do I need anti virus on my new macbook air
I'm a newbie when it comes to Macbooks, although I had an iPhone and an iPad for years. I bought my Macbook Air last week, and before that I've never used Windows. I'm in love and of course always get the hang of it all, but does have the anti-virus software on my nice new shiny Macbook?
I'm sorry if this is a really lame question, but information that I found are quite old and obsolete!
Thanks in advance
Hi loulour1982
Mac do not need anti-virus software.
OS X has all the protection you need built-in.

I just got an alarm flashing indicating that I had a virus on my MacBook pro. Could not get rid of it, until I did a hard reboot. Deemed scan of Malware for Mac software? All this experience?
These alarms are generally scam popups loaded from the Internet and is not caused by malicious software, but you should always look for other odd behavior or unexplained slowness.

Hello, first of all I'm new here and I hope for more help.
A 2010 MacBook pro has been infected, maybe more even the motherboard - SMC has been affected.
MSC is back to zero now, which brings to about 10 sec less time to start for drive icons.
Cannot use the internal hard disk for recovery and my original OS x DVD won't start. (Alt + I)
I didn't trust my Internet connection. So, what can I do?
Since there are no viruses that can infect a Mac, please provide details on what makes you think that it is infected.

Pop - up stating that my Macbook Pro the virus-infected
Saturday 5 March, 2016, I got a strong voice popup stating that my Macbook Pro has been infected by a virus and it has been possible for hackers to access my files. I tried to close several times several times and there was no fence. Don't know how but I was finally able to close Google Chrome and I turned off my computer. After restarting, it seems to have worked OK.
Was it a hoax or is my computer at risk? And if it is disabled, hackers would still have access to my files and iCloud? Everything is password protected.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! TX!
Solanie
It was an attempt to scam. If you do not give them any personal or financial information or allow to connect to or download anything on your computer remotely, you are good.
