MacPro Late 2013 buzz

My MacPro years end of 2013 started to buzz. It is not the internal fan, but something else inside the case. The machine still works well, and no apparent problem, don't except a constant buzz loud enough.

I installed iStat Pro to check the abnormal times, or loads on the dual AMD over-pants 300 GPUs.Temps are less than 100 all sensors except the Die PCI and PCIe Switch Diode. I've been running the fan at the top for a while to cool things off, but remains the buzz. Any ideas what is the cause? The machine is less than a year, but just barely.

If it only happens with monitor, KB and mouse connected then it is likely the power supply. There are a few messages about this over a year ago

I think you're bad read the OWC page. They propose to replace the internal SSD stick with their largest capacity SSD stick. The external box is only for you to continue to use the original USB key (perfect condition) as an external drive, if you wish.

  • "MacBook pro late 2013 15" blocks all the "Tine"

    Hello

My MacBook pro late 2013 running El Capitan crashes without displaying message. Often when coding using Webstorm (very likely to be blocked), but even when you use the Sublime text or only browsers. I usually have a browser running (accidents that happened with firefox all there are chrome and safari) and a database driver.

This was already the case with the previous operating system, I've updated to El Capitan, and it changed nothing.

PRAM, SCM returns several times. Ran Diagnostics, any problem found. Brought to the Apple store where they performed different tests: no problems found.

He comes off abruptly, sometimes the crazy fan, the screen is black. I can shut myself off or it turns off completely by itself.

In the newspapers, I see no log corresponding to the date and time of the accident.

    Look at this link:

  • Part number of MacBook Pro late 2013 SSD

    Hello

I have acquired a used MacBook Pro late 2013 (A1502 - EMC 2678) a few months ago, in which the DSS had been removed.

I knew that I had to replace the SSD when I bought this MacBook and found on the ifixit site that I had to buy an SSD with a part number in this list: 661-1838, 661-8136, 661-8138 (256 GB SSD).

"I've finally found one on Amazon Market place, and the SSD was announced as follows:" (661-8136, 661-8138) 256 GB Solid State Drive - Apple MacBook Pro 13 retina "A1502 / 15" A1398 (end of 2013, mid-2014).

But when I got the SSD, I noticed that the part number is printed on it is '655-1803D", which is the part number for MacBook Air Mid 2013 - 2015 SSD.

I contacted the seller to an Exchange, thinking that they had sent the wrong item, but he told me that the product was properly advertised on Amazon and showed me his description which indicates that following:

    Identification numbers:

    -Apple part No.: 661-8136, 661-8138

    -The printed part #: 655-1803, 655-1817, 655-1838

    -Manufacturer B21: MZ-JPU256T / 0 *, SD6PQ4M - 256G, THNSN2256GSPS

    So my questions are:

"Print" (those that appear on the SSD) part numbers are supposed to be the same as the Apple part number, or they are independent of each other?

Are SSD with part number cell phones compatible with MacBook pro computers A1502 655-1803 ' printed'?

    Thank you.

If it is, in fact, a number of part of Apple on the outside label of the SSD it should be certified by the manufacturer to run in an Apple/Mac products. SSD information displays the drive model number in disk label utility. These Apple Certified SSD will run through multiple products of Macbook. I hope this helps.

    Bravo!

  • iMac late 2013 OSX El Capitan - Fans Blazing at startup

    Hello Apple community,

I've just updated to OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 version and now my 21.5-inch iMac late 2013 (16 GB of RAM, 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7) is blasting his fans constantly as long as it is turned. This behavior began as soon as the machine has restarted in update mode, update of OS X El Capitan. Now, whenever the machine is operated - same start-up and before logon! -, fans of the machine are on stronger that I've ever heard, and they stay at this level constantly.

Activity Monitor indicates that only 7.89% CPU is used by the system to the Max and 3.0% user, but usually sat at > 95% of processor inactivity levels. 6.87 GB of the 16 GB of RAM is being used (Google Chrome) but close all applications does not change the behavior of fan. Impact of energy remains at a level of reference, unless I open an application - then it spikes briefly before returning to almost zero. Disk seems very active. 4.16 GB read and 1000 MB > writing whenever I load the tab Network tab. seems active, but by far the majority of the data being sent is chrome, which - again-, when stop is not the problem.

I tried resetting the SMC and the PRAM, but no effect.

The fans turn on and go up to full power as soon as I press the power button and stay on until the computer has completely shut down. In addition, while resetting the PRAM, the fans went when I turned on the power first, then remained on all by pressing the P, R, option and command keys while the computer has been restarted.

I never heard my computer even use before fans, save for two instances when I was exporting a lot of audio in Cubase. Now they are on to what I assume is their top speed and they never again down a moment until the computer turns off.

Basically, as long as the machine has the power, it uses the fans at top speed.

I guess that's not very good for my machine.

Can you help me with this problem?

    Thank you

    Shrooblord

I also ran an Apple Hardware Test, and he returned with the PFM001 code that denotes a problem with the MSC. He advised me to go to an Apple store for repair. My iMac is still valid for the AppleCare warranty, so I guess I could do it.

But before I have return my computer, I want to know if you happen to have advice about issues related to the software maybe?

The problem started when I installed OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 - was not fans notice before that time. Would the update * really * screwed up my material of the moment where he started the installation? This seems unlikely.

    Thank you

    Ed

    Yes, BUT:

To date, 16GB DIMMS for these Macs is registered DIMM (they have an extra buffer registry on their products so that they will not overload the memory Bus).

DIMM not Exchange and "friendly game with others. If you choose ANY DIMMs recorded, you will be forced to remove all DIMMS not saved to get everything working properly.

The United States, OWC/MacSales has a program where they will allow you to sell a limited number of your old DIMMS for a little money when you buy them new.

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/tech_center/support/rebates/memory.cfm

    --------

The traditional way of installing DIMMs has been to put the largest DIMMS in slots more small number. This Mac Pro (end of 2013 dark cylinder) requires no pairs, gets a slight edge of pairs in adjacent locations (i.e., 1 and 2 or 3 & 4), but the differential gap is very, very small and should not influence what you buy.

  • No keyboard and mouse during installation of windows 7 on IMAC late 2013

    Hello

I have to install windows7 64 bit on end of 2013 21.5 "Imac.

I do everything the procedure with bootcamp, but during the first install of windows7 page appear the keyboard and the mouse does not work.

    You need to choose "continue."

I've read many threads, but no one worked for me.

I made a usb bootable with bootcamp, I downloaded the driver from support of bootcamp for the specific model of the IMAC.

No way to go ahead with the installation.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

Your USB installer will use a USB2 flash drive?

  • iMac late 2013 - Windows 10 questions

Hi, this is my first post so please bear with me

I am trying windows 10 pro on my iMac end of 2013, (2.7 GHz, Intel Pro Iris, 8 GB ram). I've always used assistant boot camp to create a removable USB with windows 10 and download windows support software is always checked. I use OS X 10.11.3 and my Windows 10 ISO is the Microsoft Web site. I followed all the correct steps and Windows has finished installing, BC seems to install and I went through the program. The installer always fails on the Realtek driver, at the moment where I looked up and he went around stopping the process in the Manager of tasks and then by installing the driver autonomous file in my USB. This was BC installed on my windows 10 and everything seems to work. However, using the computer for a few minutes in a black screen results following and then by the carillon of apple and the computer restarts, I then restore the windows 10 make it work again. After restoring I can connect to windows, but BC has now disappeared as well as all the drivers from the restore process. I have tried to reinstall several times with the same results. Today, after a restore, I decided to try and install not BC, I installed the wifi manually driver and once connected to the internet went into Device Manager to try to install the drivers from windows update. Most of the drivers were very good, although he offered an update for my Intel Iris Pro 5200 driver. The driver started installation although then I got exactly the same problem of a black screen, then a restore to return to windows.

I have now exhausted all I can think about trying. I reinstalled windows with BC several times. I did a clean install of El Capitan. I tried also, from 8.1 to 10 Windows but gets it Setup at a cycle restarts 75% gets stuck and comes back finally to 8.1 Windows, yet once I tried several times with the same results.

Any help is much appreciated as this has been driving me crazy.

I would like to post here Boot Camp

  • I have a MBP Late 2013 will pair does not with 6s on Blutooth

Read all comments (lots of old stuff on these communities) and tried all the suggestions of trashing the plist etc etc. Still unable to get my iPhone 6s to pair with my MBP end 2013.

For a fleeting moment after that match it says connected not connected appears.

AirDrop works, but my phone does not appear on the screen of the devices. If sending photos of the iPhone works well my avatar is not displayed as sender just my intials & where ever he gets the ints info not the name I use in my Contacts.

Someone at - it any idea what is happening. This worked OK until recently.

An iPhone will pair not via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) with the exception of hotspot and then only if your cell phone plan he supports. See below for more information. https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-7722

If you try to use the procedure of transfer/continuity or AirDrop, which does not have Bluetooth but devices don't are NOT matched. Bluetooth must be just on and the devices within range of the other. The following may help in problems of transfer/continuity: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204678
