and my questions are... this model is fully compatible with Linux? and if so which?

Thank you to everyone

The laptop is compatible with Linux, but the fact is that you will not find Linux drivers on the page of the Toshiba driver at the moment.
Maybe in the future but we will see

So, you have to collect the 3 sites of third party Linux drivers

See you soon

I have a Macbook Pro (17-inch late 2011) is fully compatible with El Capitan and Maverick. I'm a little hesitant to upgrade. Tried before with e lCapitan and was NOT successful Please HELP

Why has been upgraded to El Capitan failed before?

The only problem is that some applications require the upgrade and some devices that connect to the computer require updated drivers up-to-date. The problem is that for some devices and applications updates are not available and so they do not work with El Capitan.

  • 5.2 Lightroom is fully compatible with PS CS6?

Based on http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1308132?TSTART=0 I decided to add each question separately:

Hello, I am very interested in buying Lightroom 5.2. I tried the RC that was missing today. Yet, I have several questions that I can't find really good conclusive answers, I'd like to get an answer before buying LR. Please do not write maybe like this or that (assumptions), because I don't want to start my entire workflow and then realize that I have to change all around, please reply, if you know for sure that something works and you are, preferably, using this method too.

5.2 Lightroom is fully compatible with PS CS6? For example some ACR 8.2 works only with Lightroom AFAIK. Will it be to say that I can not edit them in PS? Is there a list exact change that I shouldn't do, if I want to be able to edit in PS?

5.2 Lightroom is fully compatible with PS CS6?

    Yes

For example some ACR 8.2 works only with Lightroom AFAIK.

As far as I KNOW, this is incorrect

Will it be to say that I can not edit them in PS?

You can send photos from Lightroom 5 to CS6 and certainly do no editing possible in each program

  • JDev 11.1.1.4.0 is FULLY compatible with 11.1.1.3.0 and SOA 11.1.1.3.0?

    Hello
I'm working on a project using SOA Suite and ADF, in version 11.1.1.3.0.

Can I continue developing this project changing only JDev (11.1.1.4.0 upgrade) while preserving the technological environment (SOA/ADF) to 11.1.1.3.0?

I myself remember also that someone told me 11.1.1.4.0 would be compatible with 11.1.1.3.0...

If someone Oracle told you that, I go back to that person and ask them to confirm, but I'm fairly certain that the answer is 'no '.

Then why Oracle Support told me, when I presented my problems of team, most of them would have been corrected in jdev 11.1.1.4.0? It looked like to "when we will publish the 11.1.1.4.0 you can use it.

You can, just 11.1.1.4 - JDev-cell upgrade is just the tool of development, you must upgrade the stack of deployment thus to get patches for your execution environments.

  • Change in CPU satellite P300-1 has 0

    Hello

I already found a section in this forum who said it might be possible to change the processor for a laptop computer, so other laptops of the same family (here: P300) have a different construction of the CPU. If someone can confirm this? I would change my T5750 Intel Core 2 CPU for a better one (i.e. P8600) while I'm able to use Intel VT technology.

So can someone tell me if I will be able to exchange the CPU? And the difficulties what?

    Kind regards

    Jens

    Hello

    > Already found an article in this forum that says it may be possible to change the processor of your laptop, if other laptops of the same family (here: P300) have a different construction of the CPU. If someone can confirm this?

This isn't 100% good. The replacement of the CPU is always a tricky thing
Of course, you will be able to remove the motherboard and you will be able to install another processor from the same family who is supported by the chipset, but the point is that no one will be able to tell how the laptop will run after these updates.

Firstly the BIOS might not be fully compatible with the new CPU and there may be a compatibility issue
Then I don't very well if you'll be able to use the virtual technology (VT), even if the CPU that would support Mr. I noticed that in some cases this feature would not be supported by the BIOS.

Last but not least, you would lose the guarantee.

However, if you want to use virtualization, you can use a software solution like Virtual Machine or Virtual PC.

  • Satellite A100 - 521 RAM upgrade only works with original RAM in place

I am trying to upgrade the memory to 2 GB, as described in the user manual.

The computer does not start with the two new modules inserted. It will start with 1 GB installed in each slot until the original 256 MB module is inserted in the drive on the right, but does not work when the two 1 GB modules are inserted. There are 2 slots and the maximum is 2 GB for this computer. It told me to update the BIOS that I have on this site, but did not work.

I am currently using 1 modules of 1 GB and 256 MB provided with the computer module. I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-521.

    Concerning

    Hello!

The two new modules have the same specifications as the old module?

In my opinion, the new modules are perhaps not fully compatible with your laptop or are not compatible in Dual Channel mode.
What is the exact label of the two modules?

For the upgrade, you need DDR2-533 modules. I searched a bit using Google and the reference is PA3411U-1M1G.

  • Satellite P100-120 overheating running Linux Ubuntu 9.10

    Hello world

I use Ubuntu 9.10 running on a laptop Toshiba Satellite P100-120; I have a problem of overheating and the fan never put to cool my laptop.
Looking around, I found that several models of Toshiba Satellite have the same problem and I found that the only solution work seems to update the DSDT file by exploiting this feature on Linux kernels (kernel argument acpi = off is not a solution).

The problem is that the current Linux kernel of Ubuntu distributions can't take no more (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/395239).
Given that this problem seems to affect many models of Toshiba/people, I don't know that Toshiba has corrected it to a patch of BIOS; is there a reliable to tell me how I can find this patch?
I think that we need a BIOS patch because I tried to read the DSDT and indeed it includes bugs (if compile you it with the compiler Intel as described, you can find them).

    Commands to show bugs:
    sudo cat/proc/acpi/dsdt > dsdt.dat
    sudo iasl d dsdt.dat
    sudo iasl tcs - a.dsl

In the case that Toshiba does not provide a patch, can someone suggest me the reasons (I know that Toshiba is not officially compatible with Linux, but today the Linux community should be accompanied by resellers of computers)?

    Thanks in advance

    > In the case Toshiba does not provide a patch...
That of the problem. Toshiba doesn't support Linux, especially not for this model of laptop, so you have to search solution elsewhere.
Support Linux costs money, and why do we have if the books are not delivered with Linux.

In my opinion the best place to find solution or pickup a few tips useful and info is specialized Linux forums and communities.
What Toshiba about Linux, you will find under:

  • AVerMedia AVerTV Bravo Hybrid PCI - E TV Tuner card - is it really and fully compatible?

I am looking for a digital TV tuner card that is compatible with Windows Media Center and Windows 7 64-bit.  This card is listed on this site as fully compatible Microsoft compatibility.  However, AVerMedia tech support people are lower than enciouraging on this subject.  "But we must notify the product you own is EOL (end of life)." As we develop the new models continuously with the best features for users, there are no more plans for the DC service supply upgraded to MCE drivers. Please kindly understand the situation and your account will be much appreciated. «It's their response to my presentation indicating that Windows Media Center (WMC) is not any tuner present.»

I have a version of this map (same model number but only digital tuner) which seems to work with the AVer Media Center (AMC), but is not recognized by Windows Media Center.  In addition, CMA crashes when I the launch a second time after opening and closing.  In addition, the card is not usable after the resumption of the S3 state.  I found several reports of feedback on the Newegg site saying: this card works with WMC and reconnect after the release of the S3 power down state.

I left wondering if AVerMedia cards suffer from digital expectant that give rise to different experiences?  In response to this answer was this reaction from AverMedia

"Beforehand, we must clarify the Bravo AVerMedia MCE Win7 support as mentioned in our Web site. We assumed, there a problem of compatibility between the card and your office. Refer to some comments from Newegg link page, there are that still some users cannot make the device to return to the work of the waking state S3 in MCE. Could help you confirm if run "windows update" checkbox, if any available updates. Because Windows Media Center is a provider of third-party software, we suggest that come you into contact with the Microsoft customer support center if the problem persists.

As our understanding, AVerMedia Bravo function without any problem while using Avermedia Center on your computer. It is suggested to run accordingly or try to reproduce them in another office because there is not enough resource development to deliver the pilot adapted right here. Please understand the situation and your account will be much appreciated. »

My computer is a new construction using the Asus P8Z68-VPro and uses LucidLogix Virtu with an Intel i5-2320 and VisionTek Radeon HD5670 video card.  Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I'm tempted to mark the compatibility page MS for this card as BAD, but I'm more interested in finding a card that has been proven and is supported by the manufacturer as being fully compatible with

    1. WMC
    2. Win 7 64 bit
    3. resume from S3 OK

Does anyone have any idea why I'm having trouble with this quest? Virtu play in this equation?

    Thank you.

Perhaps that is the case, but need it?  This is "the year of the protest" according to the time and the main objective of a tuner card TV in a 'PC' is to work with Windows Media Center.  Ironically, it turns out that this map seems now work properly with WMC.  The supplied AVerMedia Aver Media Center does not work well and has serious problems that make it unusable.

So your comment is an indictment of AVerMedia if "to support their own product" is the test of sufficient support.

AVerMedia could have saved me a lot of work there he had simply included information about how to configure the card with WMC and more was to come on the shortcomings of the CMA.

If you take the argument as a salesman who claims to support sellers another operating system and associated software is a support request... AverMedia said WMC is supported well, Windows 7 is supported.  It is essential for me.  Anyway, my crisis is over and I'm going to close this message.  Thanks for your comments.
