  • If I have iTunes game my music will take even up to 10 GB of my iCloud space?

If I subscribe to Match iTunes my music will take still a part of my iCloud save the "cloud"? Music and photos do not count when iCloud is out, but after that work is suddenly wasn't. So now I have 20 GB backup and its almost full. I wish I had iTunes game, but it wouldn't make much sense if he did not save me some space on my iCloud drive! I don't have even a third of my music imported in my iTunes library or on my iPhone, because I have no room for it. I have a very large library. If I get the iTunes game I would have access to all my music, or at least most, but if it is still used my iCloud backup space then it would be foolish to pay for iTunes game, then have to pay more for even more storage on the cloud! I hope this feeling!

The music is not part of your back upward.

If you do not use iTunes game it will not use your iCloud storage space either.

  • email from iCloud without using the iCloud

I just created a new iCloud email address.  However, I prefer not to use the iCloud to download the messages.  When I disable "Mail" in the preferences system - iCloud, my new mail mailbox goes.  I saw this page: iCloud: server for e-mail clients - Apple support settings and suspect that the answer may lie in configure server settings of mail by hand (email - preferences - accounts).  It is the right approach, or is there another way?  I am running Yosemite on an iMac.  Thank you!

You can explain further. What makes you think that it is possible to use iCloud email address without using iCloud?

  • iCloud Space Ghost photo library

iCloud library stating "you have 10 photos and 0 videos stored in iCloud. Your photos and videos are using 3.4 GB. "What happens to my photo library of iCloud storage? I already remove most of the photos and my "recently deleted" have no more photo and video. Can I know how can use so much space with some pictures? What can I do to let the iCloud library space become normal?

    Hi Alicialee,

I understand that you have a question about your available space in iCloud. Looks like you are using total 3.4 GB, and maybe not entirely because of the 10 photos that show only stored in iCloud. This is most likely due to other things too much space to iCloud, such as backups of iOS devices. Try to use the information in this article to help you solve your storage problems:

  • Can I use Partition 'free space '?

I was showing a couple of PDFs in preview during execution of Safari - with maybe 5 or 6 tabs open - listen to Spotify when I got this message:

(at the time wherever I took the screenshot I had stopped already Safari and Spotify):

I was very surprised to see because when I formatted my 1 TB SSD I made to allocate approximately 15 - 20% 'Space' to be free, because I have read several times that you should never completely fill to the top of your player. Then, I checked my storage:

I found it very odd that I'd only 78GB left because I knew I had at least 130 GB of free, I keep an eye close enough on my storage space.  I restarted the computer and I checked my storage once again, and magically it appeared as it should:

As you can see, the total disk space is 819,36 GB. The rest of the 1 TB is the Partition of 'Free space', I created when I formatted the disk.  When I've been formatting, I noticed the option to format as 'Free space', so I assumed it was the opportunity for anyone who took the advice that you should always allocate space of 15 to 20%.  I don't know if the warning mentioned previously is related to this, but whatever it is, I had the bad idea to create literally score "Free space" while trying to keep my healthy HDD by overloading her not?  Should I just hang out my main partition in disk utility to use the 'free space' now and just keep an eye on how I use?

    Data sheet:

    MacBook Pro mid-2012 (9.1) 15 "(non-retine)"

    Mountain Lion OS X (10.8.5)

    Safari 6.2.8

    Spotify 1.0.20.101

Yes, you did. You must leave this amount of free space on the boot instead of leaving no partition allocated.

  • Using all the space on a MP3 player

I have a MP3 player with a 7.4 GB capacity. When I synchronize automatically results using Windows Media Player 11 it leaves always 1,4 GB "remaining", even if there are tracks of the snych say he didn't have space for. How to use the additional space? (I already did so that space reserve other programs is at 0%).

    See you soon!

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of the MP3 device that they can have a placeholder for the firmware
    updates and other features.

    I hope this helps.

  • Use of specified space

    Hello

SAN HQ and EqualLogic Group Manager report only one space left 10% on one of our 6210xs EqualLogic volumes. We have two virtual machines in VMWare with thin disks residing on this volume. No snapshot used or reserved space.

The vSphere client reports a different amount of space left (a lot more).

I understand that a block storage device may not be aware of the correct amount of beeing used space on the OS volume. Is this correct?

If so, I wonder why this feature (use of space show) has been implemented at the forefront in storage management if it does not work reliable at this level?

Should I disable instead all kinds of reports of volume and warnings to the storage layer and delegate this function to the OS (in my case create respective alarms in vsphere client for the use of space)?

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards

    Martin

    Hello Martin,

Re: Values EQL GUI.  This is the correct behavior.  By default block storage devices are not informed when a file is deleted.  A deletion is a writing on an allocation table maintained only by the file system of the OS.

There is a new SCSI command that support more in addition to file systems.  CANCEL THE SCSI MAPPING.  AKA space Reclaim.  When a file is deleted, the host sends the command cancel with the departure of LBA MAPPING and the number of blocks after that for free.  EQL spatial rupture in the pages of 15MB, when an entire page is not assigned, he returned to the free space on a thin provisioned volume.  If the volume is thick put into service just use space will drop.

Part 2.  When VMware creates a 40 GB VM, even with thick VMDK provisioned, it is not actually write 40 GB.  No where close actually.  She however deduct 40GB of the allocation table in the VMFS data store.

If you do not use the EQL (async or sync) replication, you can free up space manually using the CLI utility.

For version 6.0 and ESXi v5.5 here's how to run this utility.

  • If I bring in photos from Iphoto, I use more disk space on my hard drive. I don't want to replicate my entire file. I have 26000 photo photos in I.

If I bring in photos from Iphoto, I use more disk space on my hard drive. I don't want to replicate my entire file. I have 26000 photo photos in I.

You need to duplicate pictures unless you want to use the PSE as external editor for iphoto. In iphoto, your photos are stored in a library owner, which should never be marred with programs other than iphoto. Written to the iphoto library from outside iphoto is the best way to corrupt and lose all the photos it contains.

So you can either set PSE as external editor and send the photos of in iphoto, or you export photos from iphoto to use them outside of this program.

  • The use of the space on the form that is coming when hide items

    Hello

I have a problem with white space when I make the subform visible/hidden using java script based on condition.

Let me explain the whole scenario. I created an adobe form for print the invoice details, basically, I have two pages, the second page is used to manage the content of first page overflow and the condition is that we should show the total on last page only when section we exit switchis on the invoice page. For this I wrote a script on the page second sub total form in such a way so that the subform will be visible only on the last page and will not appear on any other page. But due to hide the item, I get a blank space in other pages I want. I want to continue to print the deatisl of elements in this place to use that empty space.

Can you guys help me with this problem.

    Thank you

You must create a floating shape. Set pages float up-down.

All visible objects will be organized automatically as they are ordered in the hierarchy tree.

  • Can I use my iCloud for my ipad storage

I get a message that says that I don't have enough storage on my iPad to download an app, but I have a lot of storage on iCloud how to use that.

storage iCloud is for your backups, to be able to download an application (or other), you need space on the real iPad (historically, you need usually about twice by an application size to be able to download and install it).

Your free space currently on the iPad's show in settings > General > about > available and the amount of space takes up every app on your iPad in settings > General > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (under the title of 'storage', no to iCloud)
