• Main problems to upgrade the graphics card in my Mac Pro in 2006.

  I am trying to upgrade the graphics card OEM in my Mac Pro 2006 to a Radeon HD 4870 1 GB graphics card.  I have big problems.  The previous owner recommended that my BONES 10.7.5 uninstalling and reinstalling.  I don't know how to do this.  The Apple website was no help with this issue.  The previous owner gave me a lot of procedures I've ever done before, including removing and re-creation of my RAM and using a Kext troubleshooting application.  Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

  a 4870 with 1 GB of VRAM is not a real Mac card (who had only 512 MB of VRAM). Unlikely to show an image until the login screen, if ever. Unless the seller has a 100% guaranteed working procedure to get this working, I recommend you return for a refund - it is not likely to work in your Mac.

  A true 5770 Mac or 5870 is the best approach for a 2006 or 2007 Mac Pro, because they are known to work with everything except movies under copyright, and your Mac is stuck in the 32-bit kernel and pre - 10.7.5 MacOS.

• E3000 with the same problems on & more here, but no expert solution for the 2 main problems

  

  1 - with regard to support USB connected hard drives that will not transfer data & like to come & go quite often of the view.

  Everything seems like a joke to me, when I read that a lot of people have hard drives USB who worked for a year, & when it stops working or acts upward, we all have a test to see if it connects & works very well on our other connections PC/Laptop & the only advice given, this firmware is upgraded or a list of hard drives that have been tested and work on the E3000.

  2nd - my other problem is that my E3000 now decides of its own to disconnect wireless & cable Communication and then reconnect alone, whenever you feel.

  What makes angry of this problem is that it is abundant in the Forums & I tried all the fixes, but I still have the same problem & sound as good as this device of 2 year, Max is grilled.  As is the case when there is a loose connection that overheated, in what thread or welded metal move when heat is added & move at the time where the heat is removed.

  PROBLEM:

  My touch 1 Maxtor (from the approved list) is connected and playing now you see me & now you don't game.  If I ever try to import or to export any image file or music, the Communication goes & then sometimes will return its own. Please give us/me expert advice on how to solve the problem.  If nobody knows the answer, then Cisco/Linksys looks really bad for selling a router high of $$$, being touted for the games and files sharing multimedia home & it only at this stage.  If it should be recalled, will bring up by all means, or come up with a fully functional firmware.

  Well, I'm here, not having heard an assumption about my problem, but to get an opinion of experts & solution to my problem, but also all other users of the same or very similar problems.

  I am now a HAPPY 'Belkin N600 DB' owner for only $79.99 @ Wal-Mart/Radio Shack. This new does much more than the Cisco E3000 wireless router & even changed my Modem 100 MB (green) flow out of 1000 GB (Amber Light).

• Two main problems; can be combined (display/activeX controls to image)

  I first noticed the issue several weeks ago, but I can't determine any single event that triggered (for example no virus, no software installation, etc..) Since that time I was pulling on my hair, searching the Internet to find answers, answers MS Search, book search for answers - without success.  I am now trying to put this as a presentation at the forum, and I'll switch to FireFox immediately after, because no clear solution seems to be around.

  Please - someone help me; I have tried everything I have seen/read:

  Question 1: Some web pages display images without problem (www.microsoft.com, www.newegg.com, www.tigerdirect.com, etc.) while others fail to show images at all and seems more text based GUI based. A good test for this was that several web sites including www.amazon.com , which breaks down to show the book covers, Ted images etc., while other pieces show correctly positioned text and links work when you're floating above them and click.

  What I tried (1):

  -During the running MS Internet Explorer for FixIt. clear all the cache (password, internet files, temporary, cookies, forms, etc.); Reseting "default." running a registry cleaner application. After each setting on the net I could find and the similar value, removing all list management web sites. (This is true for both versions of Internet Explorer - 32B or 64B)

  Question No. 2: Installation of the safe places known ActiveX control (for example, Microsoft) do not settle. This applies to both versions of Internet Explorer (32B and 64B). To try to understand what is the problem, I even searched the Internet and followed everything I can find.

  -Linking MS FixIt for IE; clear all the cache (password, internet files, temporary, cookies, forms, etc.); reset to "factory" by default; Run the registry cleaner application. After each setting on the net as I could find and the value as well. remove all list management web sites.

  After switching to FireFox (if all goes well for only a short time), I followed the instructions to remove Internet Explorer my system.

  I see that you have some problems with the display of the images, and active x controls on Internet Explorer. I'll help you with this problem.

  I suspect that the use of registry cleaners could have caused some problems.

  Alread so ive tried to reinstall and do it in my preferences to change the workspace. Nothing seemed to help. There is no timeline control, zoom percentage, centering canvas, scrollbars and maybe even other things that I have not yet identified. There is also a problem with centering applications.   Hey guys, for the last two days that I tried to get my MacBook run smoothly at the end of 2009! After so many forums El Capitan watching seemed to be the answer! Well, I tried that and now my computer is not the completion of download. Perhaps, it stops at 4%. I went to sleep and woke up it was still there! I can't create a new folder under macHD to move files .kext or else! I am getting really irritated and I really don't want to trash the old Mac book but I'm starting to feel as if it was the only way. BTW under Mac Os X (10.7)

  Ridicule me I did not understand what update my windows 7 to windows 10 would do.  It has erased/deleted/hidden everything that it's all gone.  Recently, I had windows 7 back, however, all my files and photos disappeared.  (1) I sustained never upped my 2) file system restore is missing 3) protection system is missing.

  Since the upgrade to Sierra, the cursor or the mouse does not work properly with Lightroom CC 2015.7, version "safe Sierra. It could be a problem for Adobe but Lightroom and Photoshop have been updated for Sierra and only Lightroom has the problem. Oddly enough, Photoshop works OK. I exported the scenes in Quick Time format without any problem. However, when I merge the exported sequence of I film with shots of my video camera, the soundtrack is completely eliminated.

  I checked on the Internet and saw that there might be a problem of "Codecs". To avoid this, I exported the sequence IMovie with Codecs of same as one of my video camera files.

  Now, if I compare the files exported from I Movie and those of my video camera, they have identical characteristics. However, the soundtrack will always disappear when I merge them.

  Could someone please help me solve this problem?
