E3000 with the same problems on & more here, but no expert solution for the 2 main problems

1 - with regard to support USB connected hard drives that will not transfer data & like to come & go quite often of the view.

Everything seems like a joke to me, when I read that a lot of people have hard drives USB who worked for a year, & when it stops working or acts upward, we all have a test to see if it connects & works very well on our other connections PC/Laptop & the only advice given, this firmware is upgraded or a list of hard drives that have been tested and work on the E3000.

2nd - my other problem is that my E3000 now decides of its own to disconnect wireless & cable Communication and then reconnect alone, whenever you feel.

What makes angry of this problem is that it is abundant in the Forums & I tried all the fixes, but I still have the same problem & sound as good as this device of 2 year, Max is grilled.  As is the case when there is a loose connection that overheated, in what thread or welded metal move when heat is added & move at the time where the heat is removed.

PROBLEM:

My touch 1 Maxtor (from the approved list) is connected and playing now you see me & now you don't game.  If I ever try to import or to export any image file or music, the Communication goes & then sometimes will return its own. Working with Game Consoles, when something begins to work intermittently, then it is a hardware problem or software with the device.  It is not a user error, when it worked fine before.

SOLUTION?:  This is why we are all here. Thanks to a landmark of expert for the same problem that many of us have?

How about this solution. Why not let all E3000 owners send there wireless routers is not working towards a credit for a new operating model nice. I think that we would all save a lot of headaches & get rid of 25% of all calls for help on this forum.

Please give us/me expert advice on how to solve the problem.  If nobody knows the answer, then Cisco/Linksys looks really bad for selling a router high of $$$, being touted for the games and files sharing multimedia home & it only at this stage.  If it should be recalled, will bring up by all means, or come up with a fully functional firmware.

Well, I'm here, not having heard an assumption about my problem, but to get an opinion of experts & solution to my problem, but also all other users of the same or very similar problems.

I am now a HAPPY 'Belkin N600 DB' owner for only $79.99 @ Wal-Mart/Radio Shack. This new does much more than the Cisco E3000 wireless router & even changed my Modem 100 MB (green) flow out of 1000 GB (Amber Light).

So, so HAPPY now!

  • Several Bluetooth devices with the same name matching

    A few weeks before to get my Moto X 2014 recently, I installed a Kenwood KMM-BT312U car radio in my car and another in my truck. At the time, I was using a 2013 Moto X running CyanogenMod 12.1. Easily paired phone with the units main and all was fine. Unfortunately, my Moto X 2014 (stock) can't seem to tell the difference between the two central devices; He is well matched with one, but then will not see the other as a non-paired device. If I reactivate Bluetooth then next turn, the phone tries to connect to the second device but fails (understandable). It doesn't seem to matter which unit I first log in, the end result is the same. Central devices running the latest firmware and Kenwood, based on the name of the Bluetooth device is not editable.

    Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?


  • Content by lining up in the sidebar with the content located in the main area?

    Hello, I have created a website using Dreamweaver CS4 and have encountered a problem when using a model. The model I use is: 2 fixed columns, sidebar, header and footer to the right. The problem seems to be in the sidebar where content does not start at the top, it seems to be 15px under the content in the main area. I can't find CSS or any reason why it starts where it comes from. It seems to look like even and properly in Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari but not in IE9. The page is online at www.Lots2Homes.com and you will see that the content is lower to the right sidebar in the main area to the left. Below is the code for the home page and of the CSS. This got me going in circles, any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  • Help with the enforcement code model

    I need to find a way to apply a pattern that I can't enforce through the specification of the normal template.

    I have a field that must be two numeric characters.  If only a numeric character is entered, then it must be two characters, with the first main character being zero.  So, if you enter 3, then the field becomes 03.

    In addition, none of the non-numeric characters cannot be accepted.  Unfortunately, if I try to specify a model in a numeric field, then it converts all non-numeric characters zeros!  Who does not work for my application.

    The plan I came up with is this: make the field so that it is not wide enough for the characters to width fixed to fit and check the box to limit the length of field to the visible area.  Then enter the code on the output event that will check the characters who had entered one at a time, first the left then the right.  It can examine the ASCII values for these characters to ensure that they represent 0 to 9 digits; This would mean that the ASCII value of each character must be greater than or equal to 48 and less than or equal to 57.  If one of the characters does not pass this test, then the computer will beep (as it does when I try to enter an alphabetic character in a numeric or decimal field, if it is possible to make a beep like that) and the field is cleaned.

    Can someone help me with this code?  I know I have to use javascript instead of formcalc (since there is no function ASCII in formcalc I know), and I don't know javascript, so I'm at a loss.

    As with most of the code, there are a number of ways to do this. Here is an example that you can add to the event of output of the field in question and make sure that the language is set to JavaScript, or well the code generates an error. I've added comments for you to see what is happening:

    I have a problem with my iPhone 6 s more battery.  I had to 'support' from Apple telling me there is nothing wrong with the battery, I was at the store and had them test and I had two replacements and they all did the same thing, even to start the replacement up as a new phone so that there are no applications that could contribute to the problem.  I told them repeatedly it was their software problem, but they said they had never "heard of someone having this problem.  I have not updated to the latest version of the software to see if the problem still occurs and initially it didn't, but then he was back at close to 30% or less, even if there is a power adequate to continue much longer.  I've updated to the latest version because it refers to a "correction of battery problems.  Unfortunately, it makes no difference at all.  I had iPhones for many years and have always been a fan, but my next phone will be a Samsung unless Apple admit to their problem and sorting.

    When you've got additional phones you restore from a backup or set up as a new device?  If the first case, then this is probably your problem.

    Restore the configuration as a new device / phone and be on your way.

    PS None of your fellow users on these forums really care if you get a samsung and I don't know that apple will do fine without you as a customer.

    A week ago, I finally called Dell customer service. Of course, I've been waiting for about 20 minutes. After giving all pertinent information about my Dell 26 '' LCD/TV, the operator (in English very hilly, I might add) guided me through all the troubleshooting steps I had done. None worked troubleshooting.

    She tried pulling the line 'contact your cable operator' old, but I told her that the cable is fine cause it is also plugged into a second TV. She then tried to explain since it was out of warranty he could not replace.     I'm trying to 'Turn on media streaming' in Windows Media Player so I can listen to my xbox and other home theater equipment.  The problem I have is the same problem as [of] other people have reported: in Windows Media Player, I press the turn on the 'link', the button greys streamin media shortly, but then nothing, and streaming is not enabled.

    I don't have a network problem.  I was able to extend Microsoft Media Center on my xbox.  (simply not enable streaming in WMP).  With media center extended is a large (better) workaround for the xbox, but this isn't a solution for my other home theater devices. I need to be able to listen to my receiver and blu - ray player, as I have done on my old PC running Windows XP.

    I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro, x-64 on a new machine of self-building.  Everything else works, it is not the machine.  I installed all the latest drivers for my machine.  I have all the updates for Windows 7.  I run the Windows Firewall and Kaspersky Anti Virus 2010.  I installed Microsoft Office 2007, Outlook 2007, Visio 2010 and many other applications 'standard '.  I'm not under any program of low-level "weird."

    As other people "suggested", already tried the action of the outgoing WMP, stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service using service.msc, then by removing the .wmdb (and other files but not directories) by my dirctory users/xxx/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Media Player, restart the Service of network share WMP using services.msc and then restarting WMP.  This had no effect.  (I tried several times with and without having to restart WMP network sharing service manually.)  I tried to change the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, tab log (the default on my system) Network Service to Local System with "allow service to interact with desktop" chosen as someone another "suggested".  This does not seem to do anything.  I also tried to uninstall WMP and WMC player (using "turn Windows has or disable"), restart, then adding them and reboot.  This time this icon "turn media sharing on" returned in WMP (the icon is usually party WMP Stream/turn on media sharing window).  This time Windows 7 Pro thought a little longer before doing nothing.  (However, now I get a message error "an error has occurred. Not all features have been changed successfully. "in an attempt to"Reinstall"Windows Media Center after you have reinstalled WMP.)  The resettlement of WMC has returned an error.  I can no longer start Windows Media Center on my PC.

    So, by all posts on this topic, its obvious this is a real bug in Windows 7 (maybe?), (perhaps only on x - 64?).

    Just two more things on my setup... I did not initially set up homegroup (because I have no other Windows 7 machines), but I tried that implemented to see if it had an effect (it didn't).  The part only 'weird' of my installation, I mounted my D: drive (2nd hard drive) in C:\Users (because I use a Solid State Drive for the operating system on C: and don't want the user data on this subject).  This has not caused other problems, but I wanted to throw it out there in case Windows Media Player sharing is something weird here.  (And no, I'm not going to 'try to change' that, unless it is a known fact that that's the problem - and then I would need a different solution to move my user data off the coast of the SSD.)

    So please, let me know what is the real problem why it happened to me (I'm sure some people can turn on streaming in WMP), and what is the real solution.  (There seems to be a multitude of suggestions on the web for all kinds of different 'fixed', but which, if any, is the right one?)  Please do not just suggest things to try.  What is the right benchmark?

    Go to network and sharing center open view full map, right click on your PC and click on manage.

    then open services and applications, and then serivces and find Upnp device host, right click and click on reboot and make sure that it is set to automatic.

    Now scroll down to Windows Media Player Network Sharing service, do a right click and click on reboot and make sure that it is set to automatic also.

    It should work, it worked for me and everyone I know but... The only problem I have is when I restart my PC, the drive share Windows Media network service changes from automatic to automatic (delayed start) and I have to restart again the Upnp device host and Windows Media Player network sharing service.

    Other than having to do every time I restart my PC, it works perfectly.

    Also, if anyone has an idea of why it changes (delayed start) let me know thanks...

    First, the range warning applies to the proof profile that you put in place, under test format. If this is not the profile that you want to print with, there is no relevance.

    Second, range warning is a very large and imprecise indication, and I would just turn off. It shows what is out of range, but not how much. There are better ways, like proofing (even once, test format, toggle with ctrl + Y).

    You can also convert a copy of the file to print your profile and look at the histogram. If you have severe cuts, you can adjust the file accordingly.

    Third, there are people who feel the effect of threshold is best handled by the profile. In other words, doing nothing, just convert and done. I'm not one of them, just thought I would mention it.

    Just to put us all on the same page, here are the basics:

    There are three different color profiles here. The document profile, the profile of the monitor and the printer/paper/ink profile. If all of these profiles are good, the results will be consistent and predictable.

    So to start with the document profile. These are important parameters in the PS color settings dialog box:

    It can't be Adobe RGB, but there must be a standard color space (sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto).

    Then the monitor profile. The Spyder software everything for you, and Photoshop uses this profile to display the file. You don't need to do anything once the software ran - it is all set up automatically.

    You can check in Windows color management has the right profile is configured by default:

    Thirdly, the profile of the printer. It's one that refers to the book as "Xxx of Epson Premium glossy", or all that apply. You choose this profile in the dialog box print in Photoshop, and then you go in the printer driver ("settings") and ensure that color management is turned off it. You don't want a double color management.

    If it withdraws, and it still does not seem good, get back with more details.

    Oh, by the way - have you got your NEC monitor with Spectraview calibration software included? If you did, it is greatly preferable to the Spyder software for reasons more than I have space to list here. You can still use the Spyder probe, at least if it's generation 3, 4 or 5. Earlier versions are notoriously few reliable and also not designed for wide gamut displays.

    The driver has been corrupted, corrupt yourself, an incompatibility with daily updates of Microsoft, I do not know what upgrade but here is the solution.

    I changed the group from my home network to the public, that the public at home, that the printer was visible on the HP program. So I uninstall all HP programs and use the driversweeper to clean all.

    That, I install the complete program with the HP driver as administrator and in compatibility win mode 7 (as I said, I use win7).

    SOLVED by myself.

    HP abandons us, I have a high end of my time printer and don't bother HP (it's time laugh you!) HP CARE)

    You guys make a driver and programs more accessible Microsoft and compatible! Tha'ts started too much programming at the end as it is, is simply take the best, see for the snippet of microsoft that the discovery of your printer and install, when YOUR programs don't.

  • Fix for common problems associated with Windows Update repeatedly trying to solve the same problem

    When the machine running Windows Update on a Windows XP Professional (SP3 with IE8), the information for the download of the ActiveX bar does not appear. Tried to run the Fix for "Common problems with Windows Update" and it says "Windows Update components must be repaired. Difficulty-it short, reports of success, "Found Themes" saying "one or more components of Windows Update are configured incorrectly". However, still unable to download updates from the information bar does not appear. Repeating the difficulty happens with exactly the same problem i.e. reports etc. but no success still can not download the ActiveX on Windows Update since the information bar never shows up.

    At tried all the suggested solutions I can find for the reported similar problems such as checking the downloads ActiveX security settings, reset Internet Explorer settings, and even resetting Windows Update (Articlce ID 971058) components. Still no luck. Therefore, I am unable to manually check and download updates of Windows security.

    Otherwise my PC works well. Norton Internet Security is installed but did not prevent Windows Update to work on another PC I have. The information bar appears sometimes for other downloads, and it doesn't seem to be a problem on the Windows Update page.

    No, I'm not not first uninstall IE8 (or IE7) before proceeding with the repair facility...

    Long history, technical, short version: do not uninstall IE8 (and/or IE7) before doing a repair installation (Windows XP only!) leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a State of "confused" or "broken". Your only recourse now is a clean install of Windows (after backup your personal data).

    No, another repair facility won't solve the problem - even if you uninstall IE8 beforehand.
