Problem of cursor or mouse

Since the upgrade to Sierra, the cursor or the mouse does not work properly with Lightroom CC 2015.7, version "safe Sierra. It could be a problem for Adobe but Lightroom and Photoshop have been updated for Sierra and only Lightroom has the problem. Oddly enough, Photoshop works OK. In addition, the Sierra of Lightroom, 2015.7 security update, worked perfectly with El Capitan, without any problem of cursor or mouse. So I guess it might be problem Sierra or Lightroom allowing customers to loss. The Magic Mouse and the Mighty Mouse mice are problematic.

The main problem for me is that the cursor has become limited in controlling sliders and tone curve points.

Someone else?

Yes, the same problems here. With the help of Macbook Pro 13 '' end 2014 on macOS Sierra & Lightroom 2015.7. Strange behavior when using the sliders and the points of the curve.

Do not forget that what was already a problem once after a LR update - so I guess it's at the end of the Adobes.

Original title: right click on the mouse itself activating

I borrowed a USB to a person at work and I started having problems with the wireless mouse and the carpet of my laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad T420 mouse. The left click of two devices works normally, however, sometimes she does not respond to clicks and it takes a few seconds to work. The left button was constantly starts to turn on, as if he was stuck. After that I hit Alt + Tab and modify windows it stops for a few moments and starts at a later date. I havo not found a specific condition or a combination of keys that may trigger the fault.

I read a few posts on discussion forums, but all say that it could be a hardware problem, which I think is not, because both devices have the same problem and I'm sure it all started with the insertion of the borrowed memory stick. I scanned the readers to help Symantec's EndPoint Protection and installed Microsoft Security Essentials and performed a full scan, but found nothing. I even restored the system, but the problem remains.

Should I get a different antivirus? How can I find the cause so I can find a better targeted solution?

I have two problems with wireless optical mouse opportunities now encountered on my computer laptop windows 7, they will no longer work correctly on this laptop, tested both on another computer and they worked very well. The first time it happened with the mouse 1 it has been installed correctly and completely, the Device Manager also confirms, the issue that happened after I removed the usb receiver to move my laptop (done this before without problems) when I reinserted the receiver and turned on the mouse the mouse was completely insensitive. I changed batteries, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and still the same result, tried the mouse and the receiver on another computer and it worked fine.

I then used a wireless mouse that worked well backup up to now and I'm having exactly the same problem after exactly in the same circumstances. A mouse by logitech and the other an i.t.works (ironically)

  • Problem on not correct mouse pointer position

My Client OS: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 x 64

    I use Vmware Workstation 6.5.1 build-126130

I invited two OS: Windows XP Professional 32-bit SP2, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2 32-bit

    The problem I found is:

When my client OS (vista x 64) have the default DPI setting (default scale: 96 DPI), and the display resolution is 1440 x 900.

My two guest OS (Windows 32-bit XP and Win2003 32 bit) works well and no mouse found problem.

But when I change the DPI setting as custom DPI 134 scale, and display resolution is always 1440 x 900:

    1. in guest OS Windows XP 32bits: mouse problem has occurred!  The mouse pointer is visible, but the position of the pointer is not TRUE!

You can do like this to find this problem: right-click on the desktop (in the guest OS) to open the menu on the right, you will find the mouse pointer problem.

    2. in the 32-bit guest OS Win2003: mouse problem onlly when the mouse pointer from the guest operating system is close to Client operating system.

How to solve this problem? I'm short-sighted that I can't put up with the default settings. (All things is too small, especially the font size)

Hi, do you understand you this, I had the same problems, the pointer of the mouse poster, but poniter is not in the location that is clicked - the click action occurs approximately 2cm below and to the right... but your question about DPI made me relise its do with DPI settings...

You have to click with the right button on the VM Workstation shortcut, select Properties, compatibility, and then select DISPABLE DISPLAY the SCALING ON HIGH DPI SETTINGS... It fixed the problem for me with vista x 64 as host and XP Pro / OpenSuse as guests.

The thing I don't understand is when the host is vista 32 bit, it was not the problem...

  • Problem with cursor - will switch to a link

I was hoping that someone could help with this.

My dad's Mac has a problem with the cursor. It uses the trackpad and when you try to click on a link, it will not work. The arrow does not change into a symbol of the 'hand' and it can not click on it. This makes it almost impossible to navigate. It seems that the links are not recognized. He tried to use a mouse via the USB port and nothing changes.

He tried to update to El Captain but he can't because the mouse doesn't work. The simple, restart or turn off / suite does not work. The problem persists on Chrome and Safari.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Irbea,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. I see that you are the dad had problems with clicking on the links on his MacBook. These are some great troubleshooting steps to try to solve this problem. I am happy using.

According to the steps that he has already done, I'll try to test this in safe mode. This will allow his MacBook making some changes and prevent the loading of the software. Please follow these steps to safe mode:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

While you are in safe mode, you may notice that the MacBook is running slower or the screen flashes.  No worries, it's normal.  Read this article for more information about this:

    Hello

-You are using a desktop computer or a laptop?
-What operating system is installed on your computer?

Maybe your computer can be updated mouse drivers may have solved the problem, or if you have a laptop with a very sensitive setting touchpad, you can accidentally moving the cursor to another location. It's a pretty common problem on laptops because of your wrist or Palm touching the keyboard as you type.  You can change the settings for sensitivity on the touchpad (see the user manual that you have not mentioned the operating system).

The issue can also be caused by an add-on not necessarily a virus.

  • Cursor of mouse and black connection screen

My Toshiba laptop running slow night. So I pulled out everything and just rebooted. It is loaded properly until he got to the login screen. It is really not in the login screen, but it has a black screen and only a mouse cursor. It stops just before the login screen. I read in other forums that people go in safe mode and fix the problem. I went into all the methods available, including advanced modes. And have the same results. Black screen and a cursor. On the SafeMode but it has safe mode in the corners of the screen.

There is no way to tell if Windows is unbelievably corrupted - probably due to malware - or if there is a hardware problem (hard drive probably) reading your post.

You know better - if you don't have a fairly high level of computer skills, it is time to take the device to a competent local computer Tech do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place. If the computer is still under warranty, of course you would like to contact Toshiba technical support.

If you want to try to help yourself, here are some things to try:

    1. start with a Linux Live CD. I like Knoppix, but there are others. This has two advantages: 1) if the system works, you can back up all the data that missed your last backup by copying to an external hard drive. and (2) with the machine running Linux allows to determine whether the problems are caused by software or hardware. If the machine is unbearably slow and/or Linux cannot run correctly, you know that the hardware is at fault. If the machine behaves perfectly under Linux, you know that the software (Windows) is at fault.

    2. Once you've got your data, if Linux is running correctly I would always test the hard disk and RAM to make sure that the material is solid.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Hardware_Tshoot

    3. If the material is bad, replace the defective components. Since it is a laptop, you must determine whether it is worth spending money on it based on the age and the initial cost of the laptop. If the laptop is less than 3 years and it's just a bad hard drive, it would be interesting to replace the drive. If the laptop is 5 years old and it is the motherboard, it is not.

    4. If the material is good, do a clean installation/restore as long as the plant. Uninstall unwanted/outdated/trial software. Upgrade to XP Service Pack 3 and make all Windows updates. See how the machine works now. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • I have a problem with scrolling of mouse working on its own.

Original title: in Windows 7, how can I stop popups, scrolling & other activities when I do click on the mouse.

I recently moved from XP if it is not a problem.

    (1) while I read a website or a Word doc & move the cursor out of the way, it opens up the popups for no matter what cursor passes over, distract from what I'm trying to do.

    (2) in Word, when I try to highlight something to change or clear, somehow the cursor goes into scrolling on its own & does not allow me to highlight what I want.

Basically, I would turn the mouse in what it was on XP because the "intuitive" nonsense is not help. If I want to see the popup, I can always right click. I have need it automatically sends me garbage.

Y at - it a setting that I have not been able to find? I was well as the mouse settings and tried various combinations, but this feels like a more basic configuration question. If so, how should I do?

    Thank you

    Earl

Thanks for your help with this.

For some reason, the mouse was activating stuff (pop ups, etc.) when I checked precisely not to do.

I tried what you suggested. What seems to have worked replaces the mouse. I had an arrangement to use a single set of keyboard/monitor/mouse with 3 computers, requiring the use of a mouse with the old pins instead of USB. I'm trying to do with 2 units of mouse and it seems fine. Don't know why, but I'm satisfied.

    Thanks again,

    Earl

This makes it very difficult to be precise. It happens with Tablet as well as with the mouse. Y at - it a keyboard shortcut, I am struck accidentally? any help is appreciated, it's driving me crazy.
