  I answered my own question: there is a difference between "Download"and 'install'." Hunting the 'install' (1.5 hrs in my case) and align your passwords, Adobe ID, etc., then install. 15 min. The right choice appears in the Applications. However it is to understand why photo selected for editing in iPhoto does not display in the elements.

  When validated Adobe than 10.5.2 was the newest Apple operating system. Yes it will work with 10.5.8, it the 10.4.8 minimum which is the most important thing is the system earlier than it will work with so if you have 10.4.7 or less you must update the system to 10.4.8 or newer for the application to run or install.

  I'm just sorry I couldn't be more help. Regarding the clean script, there were some people who said that they had to run both versions several times before everything worked.
