  The first thing you must realize is that it is impossible to make a security system that cannot be beat.  Microsoft has spent millions of dollars and countless hours of work, building a system of anti-piracy for Windows, and it is usually cracked before the actual release date.  And, of course, the only effect it has is to annoy legitimate users as hackers have an installation without security.

  The question becomes, how much time and effort do you want to put in it?

  A method of fast enough (which is still work-autour-able) would be to have your projector to write a text somewhere file that the user don't know to look for.  In the text file, write the date.  Whenever the projector opens, read this file in.  If the file date is later than the date current system, then you can assume that the person has delayed their clock.  So make the projector stop.

  Of course, you now run the risk of making me nervous someone legitimate that a travel and crossed the international date line so they reset their clock to local time and now your program works.

  Alternatively, you could have the projector check a site on the internet and get the date and time on the server.  Of course, this has problems if the user does not have access to the internet, or if the site you control problems...

  No system will be perfect and 'safer' you are trying to do, the more risk you bore your real customers.  And of course, it is still possible for a hacker to write a crack for it and circumvent security overall.

  You can store the information using the API file on the local file system IO... You don't need to use the SD card... just a local path on the file system of the device.

  Subscriptions are purely based on time. So yes, all questions between 01/01/2014 and the 31/12/2015 will be available for readers to download if they have a subscription that covers the range.

  We saw publishers to manage this is to set the date of publication of the special issue to something in the future. Then, it is not covered by an active subscription. The side effect is that the special issue will sort to the top of the list of the library.

  If you have used any other processor of professional quality (for example, Microsoft Word), and then just go ahead and use the current culture of free (financially) applications on devices you mention. It will not take too long before you understand point Apple of giving them. No application in the world can open documents Pages but the most recent version.

  Free will begin to erode when Pages for Mac forget how to open a perfectly fine document that you saved an hour or two ago. Or you realize you have to press the SHIFT key every time you want a first word in a sentence. Or you can not bind the text boxes to the text layout advanced stream. Or you can't do data merge / e-mail. Table of contents page links or comments will not export to PDF.

  Pages is not a clone of Word, and you'll quickly realize that Pages input/export deal with the translation. Open a blank document. Type the letter "A". Export to Word .docx. It will be 494KO in size. Do the same thing in LibreOffice or MS Word and it will be 8 KB.
