Management Studio Express 2008 R2 installation destroyed Windows

I installed the application above, it worked absolutely fine until I rebooted. Then chaos ensues. I had absolutely no idea of installing an application Microsoft could cause so much damage.

After installing that I am unable to boot in a mode any, if I try safe mode, it hangs on classpnp.sys in the system32 folder. I don't know if he loaded it successfully and gets stuck on the next thing or it gets stuck on it. After spending five hours trying out various community submitted hacks to get windows to start I've made no progress. I gave to accept that I'm probably going to have to reinstall.

So I installed ubuntu on a USB key to access all my backup files. Currently uninstalling Visual Studio on my laptop in order to free up space to download the iso of windows (don't know how I'm going to write it on a dvd but without a hard disk). Fortunately my product key is stored online somewhere, what I would do if it wasn't? Would it not permanently lost?

It is about 12 hours later with strong flavors of uninstalling/reinstalling, I always think that and mayble double that within hours of the versions to install to come, who knows. I spend almost every day on Visual Studio and SQL Server, and it is a real productivity killer.

I never usually bother writing forum posts, but I just recently found a lot of free time to twiddle my thumbs. I try to keep my frustration with this situation contained by an evacuation are not much, but politely all upward, I'm more than a little annoyed.

Ultimately if it's my fault not to do backups, a restoration of the point system and an image of the system before installing a Microsoft application.

Yours sincerely,

Ali.

  • Visual Studio Express 2008 product key

    Hello world

I realize that visual studio is no longer supported, but I installed the product some time ago but did not request a product key due to need only the program for a short period. Unfortunately, the test is in place and I haven't finished what I was doing and when I start the program it asks for a product key. When I click on the link to get a key that is not taking me to a page where I can get a key if anyone has an idea where I can get an a posteriori or is it a generic, can I use it until I finished this project. I should really only need another two weeks.

Upgrade to a later version is not an option unfortunately.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Need help sql server 2008 management Studio.

I imported a sql database to use Expression Web 4 according to a tutorial I followed from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA. Later, SQL Server 2008 Management Studio running on XP3 returns error that it is impossible to browse the database, which is still on display in the DATA folder that contains all the other databases, as well as in the Expression Web folder, in that it has been copied. How the database for me to work with Management Studio? Glaust

Glaust, did you eventually get this working or is this even a question? If you can provide a little more information about what you were doing to import you talk. Am I right in assuming that your instance of SQL Server has the database is available for you to access through SSMS. Then, you have completed the import and now you can see the DB in the SSMS DB tree but you get the error and are unable to access the DB?

    Thank you

    Hello

I encountered the following error when I try to open the form in oracle EBS R12.1.1

It stuck for a little while and then appears an error message

FRM-92101: there was a failure when starting Server Forms...

(I've never been able to run the form on this)

I ran a vision online forum that works very well which means java is ok.

It is the new installation on windows server 2008 32-bit with costs of database (no vision).

    I search on the internet and tested all of the available options, including;

change in the registry for example 1024,12288,1024 etc.

marking the check box for oracle process manager to PROD "allow service to interact with desktop".

check the configuration files of forms (all files of any bad path that I found and corrected)

running files adautocfg.cmd for db and apps (returned errors and can be verified at the following link)

  • How to skip the installation of SQL Express 2005 and using SQL Express 2008 instead?

I have SQL Express 2008 is installed and you want to use instead of SQL Express 2005.

How to configure the installation of Lookout as he ignores the installation of SQL Express 2005?

Are there other measures that must be taken so that Lookout can work properly with SQL Express 2008?

    Thank you.

    OK - it worked.

However, for 64-bit installations, I had to use the WOW of SQL Express 2008 versions, because, the Citadel is a 32-bit database and installation of 64-bit native versions would not allow an upgrade of the Citadel of Instance.

    Thank you.
