long term storage of office pro 8500

I would like to know what is the best way to store the HP 8500 a year without any use.

It is feared that the ink will dry up in the print heads or lines of ink in the machine, not to mention the ink tanks.

If the ink only dries up at the level of the print heads, theoretically I can replace the heads and still have the machine only work if the lines of ink and ink tank is full.

I don't want to remove the tanks and/or ink heads before their storage as the exposed connections are required to dry up.

Thank you.

I would power off the printer properly on the power button, on this way, that the print heads will be capped correctly

Is there a good way to prepare for storing ink jet printers long-term (> 1 year) so that the jets get clogged?

We have a F4480 deskjet all-in-one that has not been used in several months.  As far as I know it still works fine.  It has been stored in the original box & delivery packaging for 3 months.  We hope it won't be necessary for 1-2 years.  We had 2 former HP hoof to the top after a long period without use.  I said that they should be tested every month or two.  Do you need >

This model integrates print on ink supplies heads, so in the worst case, you'll just need to replace the cartridges.  I think after a year or two ink supplies will probably dried out or clogged.   When you restore the printer to the service, you may be able to run up to three cycles of cleaning of the Toolbox.  Is there is an impression, but it is scratched or one or more colors are missing, then soak the nozzles of the cartridges down in about 1 "of very hot water for 10 minutes can recover the cartridges.

The best plan would be to simply use the cartridges before long-term storage and then store the low or empty cartridges in the printer.

For best results, store the printer with cartridges installed.  Be sure to turn off the printer to its power switch and wait for the cartridges to Park properly before removing the power.  Store the printer in a place cool and away from drafts, pets and other potential hazards.  Make sure that the printer is stored standing in its normal operating position.  Store the printer upside down or sideways or the end can cause problems.

I have a Belkin N1 Vision router and a new HP Office Pro 8500 all-in-one printer (HPA7864C), but the wireless connect. I followed the instructions of the printer, but the better report reports that "MAC filtering" is enabled to possbly (or on) on the wireless router. I checked the router, but the "MAC filtering" is set to off (or off). What could be the issue that the printer will not connect to the wireless router?

    Best report:

    Without thread - OK

    Functions without wire - OK

Network name (SSID) has been found - OK

    Security - OK

Print settings are OK with the settings of the router - OK

Unfiltered - NOT OKand then it stops!

    Connection - do not run.

Problem was solved by changing the channel 6 to 11 of the channel on the Belkin N1 router.

  • HP Officejet 8000 - long-term storage

Can anyone advise on the correct procedures for storing long-term Officejet printers.

We have 24 printers altogether and use them in batches of 4 only for a week, they are stored until they are shipped to another location to be reused for a week.  Total time in storage could be 6 months.

I don't want to print head and ink problems, replacement print heads and ink isn't ecenomical - its cheaper to buy a new printer.

    Hi Ian_JJ,

You want to ensure is that printers are off using the power button. In this way, that the print heads can be installed on the service station. If the print heads are not well installed on station service that is when you can expect to get the ink dried in the print heads. This printer cartridges are there just to provide the ink to the print heads. Let me know if you need help.

  • print to iPad via Office pro 8500 wireless

Hi my Office pro works fine with my macbook. But when I try my ipad I geta message only no airprint printer found. How can I get my 8500 to be an airprint printer? All operating systems are up to date. Thank you

    Hello

I'm afraid that the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless (A909g) does not support the Airprint feature, as you can find below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02814760

However, you can still print from your iPad using the HP ePrint home & Biz app:

  • Jet office pro 8500 does not print Yellow - no error messages and printhead life shows good

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 A909n Prime that doesn't print Yellow. I have replaced the yellow cartridge twice, cleaned the printheads as well regular and deep cleaning, and I cleaned the contacts on the print head. Current information shows the printhead as good quality. The amount of ink is correct. There has never been no error messages whatsoever. What gives?

    {The content removed}

Sorry, but none of your suggestions helped. What I suspected at the outset was the printhead and it seems to be what needs to be replaced. HP and print heads are a big problem and I had this problem on previous models of the officejet family. My Canon has been in service for seven or eight years and I have never had a problem with it. I think that if I replace this printer that I might have to consider anything other than HP. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Recommendations for long-term storage of Officejet 4500

Which may suggest for the storage of a HP Officejet 4500?

    Hello

Sorry, that will make any big enough box. You can buy bubble type of material to keep it in place and a few bags of silica to keep "dry." For inks, you can read the following article:

  • Jet Office Pro 8500 will not be printed via wireless network.

All of a sudden, my printer does not print anything from any of my devices. Just print items get saved in the queue. The printer is connected to the router, all configuration and test pages that it's good and ready. I have windows 7.

OMG! I can't believe that the fix was something so simple.   I had installed a new router.  Windows for some reason, creates a virtual printer with a disk of Web Services and the port (which did not work or I do not know how to configure it properly) and removed my printer "hard."  I went just to network, add a printer, it finds the printer hard origin, I added it, deletes it on the virtual ports of WSD, and now everything is new to print properly!

  • Office Pro 8500 A910: settings is more standard for printing double-sided on Office Pro 8500 A910?

We always used standaard duplex until a few months after a update for the HP printer, now he can't keep remembering settings. I need to reset duplex printing before each printing. Very annoying. You can find it under: Preferences/options tab system/then the check mark to: printing to HP accessories.

Each print, I have set the printer for duplex printing. Is there another way? I've got MAC iOS 10.10.  Greetings, Pauline

Only the utility disc repair disk permissions feature, I don't understand, sorry, not an expert...
But still I can print double-sided of my i-Phone in i - Pad! It's so weird. I'll ask my partner: wink smiley:
So I hope you know any sort well!

  • Copy of Office Pro 8500 has in draft mode

Every time I manually copy the default values of print quality on the 'normal' even though I have the quality of the printer set to "draft". How can I get quality printing default copy of "project"?

    Hello johncabellmoore.

I want to help solve this problem for you. After pressing the copy button, click settings in the lower left corner of the screen. When the settings open, click quality, change project. Then use the triangle 'down' on the right side of the screen and scroll down to the bottom and "set as new defaults". Then click on 'yes '. This saves your settings for all future copy jobs. I hope this helps.

  • A USB at low prices is not acceptable for long-term backup storage?

I'm close to the graduation of my night school. Subsequently, I plan to upgrade my MCSA & MCDST MCITP and MCTS certifications. I use the ability to download all the stuff of Dreamspark while I still qualify so I'll still have access to the server.

I would normally just burn these images on cd/DVD, but with virtual machines, it is generally easier to use the .iso images. I need a way to save as well as (stored in .txt files) product keys. I'm looking for the cheapest possible solution.

Buy a USB hard drive for $50 at a "back-to-school" sales stories Office Supply would be viable for the long term storage? Those who are not really designed to be WORMs where I write once, and then paste it in a safe place with my original disks/CD/DVD (all since 1989) until I have more software to back up.

In my opinion, a backup tape would be too expensive for my needs, flash drives large size are also expensive, DVD are too small or silly to burn a DVD with a single. ISO image.

So buying an external hard drive seems the cheapest solution, but how that will hold up over time? I think it is bad that the reader will be much used and rest in a unique, rather than be spun position regularly.

Don't forget that "backup" deduced it is a * second * copy data - not your original copy (only).

He'll resist quite well - as long as it is not being abused.  Sitting didn't seem to affect one of the readers that I have 5 + years.  Plugged in recently when I found it.  It was one of them:
    http://reviews.CNET.com/external-hard-drives/Ximeta-NetDisk-80GB/4505-3190_7-30734045.html

Yes - I got when it first came out.  Seems small now - I have an eSATA/USB 64 GB flash drive that holds 64GB.

Your concern brings up the fact that it shouldn't be so important to you anyway - if you don't think you'll use it very often. ;-)

My Office Pro 8500 A910g using a laptop running Windows 7 Home Edition works fine on my WiFi network for years.

I lost the connection. On a second laptop, I get an offline state.

The blue network status light is not on.

I printed a Network Setup page and a wireless network test report and everything seems good. I ran the program of HP HP troubleshoot-performed installation failure. I had a local technician look at the printer he said it, it was fine.

I removed the HP software and reinstalled. The printer is on the network, but I can't find the printer when I try to perform a new installation.

The HP print and Scan doctor does not find the printer.

Looking for the address IP in the browser can't find the printer.

I have reset the default printer.

I deleted all the pending print jobs.

Any suggestiions? Is there a magical hidden reset button? I have to buy a new printer?

Print you the wireless config page?  You can scroll through the front panel to check the status?  You will need to download and read your manual to find this information.
