  Just install and activate it.  If you need to download the installation files, you can do so on the link below.

  Your license allows you to have two active facilities, so if you have only one, you can always install on another machine without touching the original installation.  If you do not want the original installation, then you should disable at least opening one of the applications and selecting help-> Deactivate.

The error message says it "cannot open another application already has its opening.» Leave the other copy of Lightroom before trying to launch' the problem is, that I can see a copy of the open LR5 and cannot locate the "." lrcat.lock"the specific catalog I want to open the file. I tried to re-boot my computer, but it did not work.

  Thanks Geoff. I was finally able to locate the "." lrcat.lock' of the relevant folder to the catalog I want to open. Once I deleted it, LR5 was able to access my images. Problem solved. Thank you

  As you have already ordered for the CD of Windows XP Service Pack 3, you can install the operating system by following the on-screen instructions on the CD at the time of installation.

  You can try to right click and "RUN AS ADMIN" or you can try to create a test profile to see if it does the same thing.
  If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it.   Well, you can install applications on your PC, but activation is only limited to 2 machines with a single Adobe ID.

  CC Adobe license can be activated on 2 machines using the same Adobe ID but 1 at a time.

  It is no longer available via adobe and if buy you it to someone else, that you will probably have problems running.  I think that it is compatible with win 98 but I don't know if it's available for you using compatibility mode.
