Set as default (first page) in Apex 5.0
My Apex application has a default page (first) 10, not the standard 1. Apex 4.2, I followed these instructions for the application correctly go to the first page of default at logon:
Dimitri Gielis Blog (Oracle Application Express - APEX): Change the page (first) by default in APEX
I've recently updated the Apex 5.0 app, but now after login, I get the error '1 Page' not found.
I couldn't find any documentation or positions related to configuration of first default page for Apex 5. I have noticed that when you go to
Edit-security request attributes, therefore more a 'Home Link' field, which is what I've used to define page 10 as my home page.
Does anyone know the new way to do it?

OK, I got this out and probably should have earlier. Somehow through the upgrade, change I did previously of pl/sql code:
Application Builder-> Login Page (101)-> processing-> process-> connection-> PL/SQL code
Went from:

P_UNAME =>: P101_USERNAME,
P_PASSWORD =>: P101_PASSWORD,
P_SESSION_ID-online v ('APP_SESSION'),
P_FLOW_PAGE =>: APP_ID | ': 10'

Make Bing my default browser URL bar? Problem with Yahoo!
Hello. For many, many months now, I had Bing as my default when browser the text typed in the URL bar. Now he's gone at Yahoo!, and I can't change it even go to keyword.url in the subject: box of configuration settings. Interestingly, all my (from the search box) search engines have disappeared. Everything has disappeared.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Especially I want to just hand it to Bing in my research of the URL bar and get rid of stubborn Yahoo!.
Hello
There is a solutionJust a few steps below:
1. tap on the option menu to open right corner most of your firefox
2. click on options
3. press the search button on top of the pave.
4. choose the default search engine when you choose bing
5. click on ok. -
I understand that now, there is a kind of union between Firefox and yahoo? Since an update, yahoo has been my default. Topic: config I was offered no solution as a keyword. URL has been removed. Please notify.
You can try to reproduce this behavior when you start firefox in safe mode, once? If not, perhaps an addon intrudes here...

Launch the map with maps of schema url location:
Hi all
I am launching the maps application and open a store in the plan. Launch the application maps to BB10 can be done using the cards: url scheme. But it does not seem possible from a location in this scheme. I tried a few things like:
cards: {address}
maps:? search = {address}
maps: search = {address}
maps:? q = {address}
cards: q = {address}
Does anyone know if this is even possible and how?
Thanks in advance!
Oke, it's strange. Minutes after I posted this I've thought about it.
maps:? address = {address}
It will launch the native maps app and identifies the location. Weird this is not documented anywhere.

Prevent the user from changing the page in URL - Apex 5
Dear community of Apex,
We seek to protect our handling of URL pages. The protection of session state is enabled, and each page has page value «Arguments must have Checksum» access protection However, the documentation seems to discuss in order to prevent the user from element values in the URL. We want to prevent the user to change the page ID in the URL. Currently, a user is able to hack the URL and take in the middle of a wizard process for example. Is it possible to stop this? Other that an element of creative previous train stop check.

Hi Barry
Affecting the security attribute Access Page Protection page No. URL Access and navigate between pages using the type of the Page Management Branch (uncheck the option creates a branch using redirection page in the Wizard) will avoid this:
No URL access -Page can not be found using a URL, but the page can be the target of a type of Page Management Branch, is not doing a URL redirect.
It is a little more restrictive that a normal direction of the session state values cannot be positioned or erased declaratively in the branch, but is not often necessary in a several step wizard, and it's pretty simple to work round using prior processes - or post-branche or by referencing the item values directly from other pages.

Crossing a branch of URL APEX (dynamic)
Hi all
In desire to branch to the URL below in my APEX application. The "320000010327" you see below in the URL is an identifier hardcoded. I want to use my domain P5_LMS_ID_HDN instead of hard-coded id. When I use the hardcode Id LMS, the part of the URL is successful. I'll get out my APEX applications and in Webtop. I want to be able to make this dynamic URL based on what is in the area of the P5_LMS_ID_HDN. Can someone please. Thank you.

Hi Ed,
Have a look here: 2.5 understanding URL syntax

How to change the default database of the APEX
Hi all
I installed Apex on 10g express. BY using the object browser, I can browse only a local database as "XE".
But I have an another 2, 3 databases in different servers. I know how to connect using the database link and question.
But the question is when I want to write a query, I need to specify the database sid/instance always as below... which is so difficult, as I have write lengthy queries...
Select * from table_s@testdb t1, table_d@testdb t2;
Similarly, I have db sid anywhere in the query which is a little difficult.
If I do not mention this; then he said: table or view does not exist...
How can I overcome this problem...? It is the nature of the apex or can I change the default local database instance to whatever the PB I want to and question directly without passing the instance name?
And the other thing is that I can not access the tables through the wizard that are not local, given that those who are located in a different server... so I have to write the entire hand... query: S
I think you're my query clearly...
Can someone please give me a hand to solve this problem...
Thanks in advance,
MaxHello
Of course, it is more slow queries and use the remote tables.
To create the view
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW vw_testdb_table_s AS select * from table_s@testdb
Then you select
SELECT * FROM vw_testdb_table_s
And you should be able to see this point of view in the object browser and use it in wizards.
Kind regards

vNIC to physical mapping of NIC in an active vSwitch
Can anyone suggest a way of saying what virtual NIC is connected to which physical NETWORK card when they are associated with an active vSwitch (in addition, comparing the MAC addresses)?
As far as I know, the best way to do is to use the property Config.Network of the HostSystem object that points to an object HostNetworkInfo .
This script lists the Vswitches (and their active and reserve network cards) and all the exchanges with their active and reserve cards.
$esxName = "mmmstv001.muac.corp.eurocontrol.int" $esx = Get-VMHost $esxName | Get-View foreach($vswitch in $esx.Config.Network.Vswitch){ Write-Host "Vswitch" $vswitch.Name -ForegroundColor red Write-Host "`tActive NICs" foreach($actNic in $vswitch.Spec.Policy.NicTeaming.NicOrder.ActiveNic){ Write-Host "`t" $actNic } Write-Host "`tStandby NICs" foreach($sbyNic in $vswitch.Spec.Policy.NicTeaming.NicOrder.StandbyNic){ Write-Host "`t" $sbyNic } foreach($pg in $esx.Config.Network.Portgroup){ if($pg.Spec.VswitchName -eq $vswitch.Name){ Write-Host "`t`t" $pg.Spec.Name -ForegroundColor blue Write-Host "`t`tActive NICs" foreach($actNic in $pg.Spec.Policy.NicTeaming.NicOrder.ActiveNic){ Write-Host "`t`t`t" $actNic } Write-Host "`t`tStandby NICs" foreach($sbyNic in $pg.Spec.Policy.NicTeaming.NicOrder.StandbyNic){ Write-Host "`t`t`t" $sbyNic } } } }
Since I do not know in what format you want the output, I wrote the data in the console.
Note that if there is no active or standby NIC listed to a portgroup this portgroup NIC binding and the order NIC of the Vswitch.

Mapping of URLS with ADR 3.0.1 and Tomcat for several APEX databases
Hello.
I have ADR 3.0.1.177.18.02 installed with Tomcat 7.0.59 on a server named ah30. It works well with APEX 4.2.6 in the data base SCREWS on this server.
I also to be configured to work with a second database on server ah9 APEX, but I was not able to run again.
Can someone help me with this issue?
Were you successful with this type of configuration?
Here's what I did.
I have added the database. ADR has created the data filed: home/oravis/ORDS/confs/ords/conf/ah9_db.xml. The password is correct.
Database file: /home/oravis/ORDS/confs/ords/conf/ah9_db.xml
<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8" standalone = 'no '? >

< key = "db.password entry" > @xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx < / entry >
< key = "db.username entry" > APEX_PUBLIC_USER < / entry >
< / properties >
Use the following commands, I was able to create a new database connection and map the URL.
Java $ [oravis@ah30 ADR] - jar ords.war map-url - type base-path /ah9 ah9_db
August 1, 2015 18:06:13 oracle.dbtools.url.mapping.file.MapURL run
INFO: Creating new mapping of: [base path, / ah9] to map to: [ah9_db].
[oravis@ah30 NICO2277] $
In the catalina.out log file, I find the following:
Process of oracle.dbtools.url.mapping.file.FileURLMappings August 1, 2015 18:21:44
WARNING: Could not find any target database corresponding to: ah9_db, null

This URL gives me access to the APEX on ah30:
This URL must give access to APEX on ah9, but he Gets the error 404 of ADR.
http://ah30.xxxx.com:8080 / ADR ah9 f? p = 4550:1
localhost_access_log says:
[01/Aug / 2015:18:28:34-0700] "GET/ords/ah9/f? p = 4550:1 HTTP/1.1"404 11384
I also tried to run ADR in stand-alone mode with URL mapping, but that no longer works.
In an attempt to install separate that I was able to set up independent ADR to get at APEX on ah9, so I don't know the database will answer.
Thank you

Skip - absolute says:
Anyway, nobody has responded to this topic until you. It's surprising.
I suggest you try later versions 2.x ADR. I have had more success with the URL mapping using this version.
I have not had an opportunity to deepen the problem, but I may be soon. With my level of knowledge, I must rely on cookbook recipes provided by the documentation and other. My only interest in ADR and Tomcat should connect the plumbing APEX can be used. Sometimes my clients have DBA and system administrators who want to install APEX but get hung up a web listening port configuration, so I have to build my knowledge base in order to help.
With a situation this week, where s/n a customer insists on a two-level facility, I see a few new questions, and I'll look for the time to post in this forum.
Good luck to you and if you find answers, please share.
The solution of mapping URLS of configuration of multiple databases with ADR has been described in the blog and the following thread:
- Only ADR Install - Multiple DatabasesOracle is easy
- Re: Help on installing several versions of APEX4.2 + and 5.0 in Oracle 12 c Multitenant DB APEX
I was able to implement the mapping of the URL of ADR and multiple database feature using the version 2.0.10.
Reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/doc.30/e56293/config.htm#CBDCHGDF (refer to ' Configuring multiple databases ')
The URL mapping feature does not work in latest versions of ADR 3.0, this was confirmed by the following threads:
- Re: ADR 3.0.1 on Weblogic for APEX and base mod_plsql as feature
- Re: Problem in the configuration of the ADR.

Redirect to url by default apex
What determines where the url by default http://domain:port / apex redirects?
This default page can be changed to redirect to another page?
I would like to than the base http://domain:port url / apex to redirect to a page that has been created instead of the login and password page / default redirect workspace. Is it possible to do?
This page currently redirects
http://domain:port/apex/f? p = 4550:1:631371739005701
I want to http://domain:port / apex to redirect to http://domain:port/apex/f? p = 101:1
Where is the info for this page?
Which table in the database?
It seems that the best thing would be to have the redirection of dmz
http:/domain to http://domain:port/apex/f? p = 101:1 instead of http://domain:port / apex but my service COMPUTING said that's not possible.
They can only redirect http:domain to http://domain:port / apex

There are OSH dads.conf line that define the default page

In configuring the listener file config.xml - apex APEX

ADR 3.0.2 vs URL mapping
Hello
Just installed 3.0.2 ADR ords.3.0.2.294.08.40.zip which is supposed to have a fix for the problem of mapping of the url and it still does not work.
Can someone tell me if you did this work?
If so, please SHARE!
do not use APEX at all
work with web services on different databases
ADR deployed in Weblogic 12 c
TKS!
JP
Well guess what...
FIXED!
When running java-jar ords.war installation - database mydb
use the following syntax
...
Type 1 if you want to use the PL/SQL gateway or 2 to skip this step.
If using Oracle Application Express or mod_plsql migration, then you must enter 1 [1]: 1
Enter the user name of the database gateway PL/SQL [APEX_PUBLIC_USER]:ORDS_PUBLIC_USER
...
then run
java-jar ords.war map-url - type base-path /mydb mydb
all good now!

Hello world
I use APEX 5.0 alongside REST services.
My url is as below:
http://serverAddress/name/f?p=:
How can I change this url so that she had my own naming conventions and does not show the parameters passed.
For example instead of:
f? p = & APP_ID.:5: & APPSESSION.:NO::P2_ID:1234
I want something like
process_data/application_name.
which does the same thing.
Thanks for the help.
