Pavilion g6 1184sa: cpu compatibility
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help, I have a g6 with intel cpu b940 1184sa and hope to fall into one intel 2020 m or i3 380 m but can not find any information if they would be compatible
Here is the HP manual provides for this model:
The strange thing is that the processor B940 is not listed. It's actually a Sandy Bridge (gen 2d) database processor. This means that you have the HM65 not the chipset HM55 chipset. So you can install gen 2d processors referred to in this manual as an i3 - 2310 M or even an i7 - 2620 M and you can not install the first processors of gen as an i3 - 380 M.
There is a useful chart that shows how much of a performance upgrade you would get.
An i3 - 2310M would be about 22% faster, for example.

Re: Satellite L300D-242 - CPU compatibility list
I was a big fan of toshiba with 3 in the House, but when I come to upgrade the processor, I hit the wall a little. I have the most up to bios date on my 242 l300d pslc8e-06H013EN and I thought I was not looking for a laptop, an upgrade of the processor was option right ahead.
I tried a zm-82 amd dual core as an upgrade for my TR-42, but the system does not even start.Q. has anyone had a successful that laptop upgrade or is there a cpu compatibility list?
Zm-82 was a tenner and I went back, but if there is a dual core I can slot, it is much cheaper to replace a good laptop.
I look forward to see if anyone has any advice.
P.s. I did research the dual core, it wasn't a random purchase.Post edited by: Pokey80
Generally upgrade CPU on Toshiba laptops is not supported so there is no such list.
What you can find is an official document on the CPU and GPU upgrade - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htmFrom time to time theme on CPU upgrade is very real fact on this forum, that you can try to get such threads and try to know what other people write about. Do it with advanced search option.
Let's see if anyone else has good experience with the upgrade of CPU on L300D.
He must have a platform AMD, right? -
Hi, I'm looking for the list of Lenovo G570 CPU compatibility with HM65 chipset and socket G2. Lenovo's Poland cannot help me with this, because they do not have this list.
Good day and welcome to the community.
Take a peek inside ato your equipment manual: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/Lenovo%20G470G475G570G575%20Hardware%20Mainenance%2...
Parts list starts on page 71, and point #6 is called the CPU. If you go down a bit, you'll see the five processors initially offered with the machine.
Hope this helps your search.

Mother card/CPU compatibility
Hi everyone, I need to change my motherboard and processor, but I don't know anything. These are my choices, I need to know if the processors are compatible with the following motherboards, expecially with the 970 Gaming (I think it's the best). I just need to see the socket for compatibility?
AMD - FX-8320 (Vichera-Piledriver) 8 Core 3.5 Ghz Socket AM3 +.
AMD - FX-6350 (Vichera-Piledriver) 6 Core 4.2 Ghz AM3 +.
MSI - map of socket AM3 + 970 a - G46 970 ATX AMD motherboard chipset
MSI - card mother 970 GAMING socket AM3 + chipset AMD 970 ATX
The other parts of the PC are:
-12 GB of RAM Kingston 1333 MHz
ASUS GTX 750Ti-
-PSU Corsair CX700
Is this compatible with the motherboard and processor overall?
Thank you

With VMotion CPU compatibility
Hello
only, we have installed a new esx server and now when I try to do a VMotion between my first esx Server I get an error, the incompatibility cpu ecx mask etc...
I found the CPU compatibility matrix but I don't know that I understand... so I want a confirmation, please if my proc is compatible for Vmotion.
Here are the 2 processors, Intel Xeon E5450 and Intel Xeon X 5650
If it's not compatible what should I do? wait for a new version of Vcenter/vsphere? I actually use Vsphere/vcenter 4.00 update 1
Thank you for answering this question!
You said you have two hosts E5450. So why not Vmotion virtual machines to a host and then move it to the new cluster. In this way, you will see that it works or not.

HP Pavilion DV7 laptop: mother board &; cpu compatability
I think to change the processor in my laptop Pavilion DV7 it ha a HP 516292-001 motherboard. # High school is 7G09A1 TFC date is 2009-01-09 I want to know if an I7 processor is compatible, or what cpu would be compatible.
Fatima can a CPU of the laptop upgraded, but it seems that canbe card mother especially. Here's what I found on CPU support:
Supported CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9100, Q9000 -
Hi, thanks to the Pavilion g6-1262sa maintenance and manual cleaning and this great forum, I recently discovered that replace my i3-2330 m is possible with all sandy bridge i7 2620m processors.
These questions may sound silly, but I continued my research and I have more ideas to confront reality as a couple.
I realize that the compatibility is not only matter of editing the same socket, but also of the bios installed on certain motherboard, however:
1. do you think it would be possible to Exchange Sandy Bridge (2nd generation) i3 - 2330 m for some Ivy Bridge (3rd generation) i5-3210 m?
2 is the 32nm to 22nm manufacturing technology enough difference on its own (even if the rest of the architecture is the same) to prevent that to work?
3 is the bios from my card mother g6 identyfying somehow installed processor? (if this isn't on 'the list' it simply won't work? "or what technical compatibility issue?
According to some statements which I found it on some forums and sites (and a few facts documented free):
Socket: the two processors are compatible with BGA1023 decision-making. (at least that's what I found, if someone could confirm I would be grateful)
Difference of architecture: "The 3rd generation is called 'Ivy Bridge' and is essentially a copy of Sandy Bridge made on a smaller scale, or die." However, Intel also focused on beefing up of the onboard graphics in this generation. »
TDP: both are 35 W
Carrots: both are 2 physical (Virtual 4 - thanks to hyperthreading I guess?)
Energy consumption: "Ivy Bridge CPUS also use less energy", "Ivy Bridge consumes less energy; around 10w, I think. »
Temperature: i5-3210 m going 5 * C more - 2330 m - i3 shouldn't make much difference
Looking forward to some responses, RacA
It is not a technical incompatibility (socket) because as you probably know Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge are backward compatible on most motherboards desktop. However, HP has only implemented gen 2d, processor Intel Core compatibility of the HM65 Express chipset that you a. motherboards supporting 3rd gen processors use the HM77 chipset. There is no another motherboard that will fit in your frame.
Your analysis above, which was pretty good, left out the chipset, which you must always remember when assessing the possibilities of upgrade:
http://www.CPU-upgrade.com/MB-Intel_%28chipsets%29/HM65_Express.html
The HM65 supports a couple 3rd gen processors, but none of them are on the list of HP for your model. You can try one of those shown in the link I gave, but I think that there is a small chance that they will work.

Pavilion DV8000 upgrade CPU, RAM, HD &; OS
Hello world
I have a HP Pavilion Dv8000 (Dv8336ea is the exact model number). I intend to upgrade the processor, RAM, hard drive and OS and have a few questions about the limits of upgrade on this computer.
He is currently running XP pro, but I intend to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit, if I can find an upgrade of the CPU 64 bit appropriate.
The vehicle currently has an Intel centrino Duo CPU T2300, but I'm not sure which processors are compatible. y at - it an easy way to identify compatibility? I know that it can be removed, but what would be an upgrade recommended for optimal performance?
Is there a limit to the size of the hard drive, can I install it? He had a hard duel disks. Is there a problem with the installation of a hard drive 7200 RPM? It's the BIOS that limits the size of the hard drive that can be installed?
Finally, what would be the limit for RAM after CPU and operating system upgraded. What defines the limits of the RAM in a computer?
Help with any or all of these Q greatly appreciated!
Hello:
The GeForce Go 7600 is a graphic adapter Windows 7 and should be able to run all the pleasure of the eyes in Windows 7 and have the same resolution that you had in XP.
Try the latest nVidia driver released for it.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_179.48_beta.html
I see that you have a wide screen monitor... According to the resolution of your screen, with the appropriate driver, he should be able to get 1440 x 900. That should give you the view you've been waiting for.
3 GB of memory can be used with a 4 GB max RAM capacity is perfectly normal, even with a 64 bit OS. You need the chipset Intel 965 for the 64-bit OS in order to 'see' all 4 GB of memory. You have the 945 chipset.

Cannot install Windows 8 on Satellite L750 - CPU compatibility problem
Why can I not install Windows 8 Preview of consumption on my Toshiba Satellite L750-22 x?
I get an error of processor compatibility.Intel i3 M380 2.53 GHz
Hello
The Internet provides some details on this error message.
It seems that to install Win 8 CP the CPU must support PAE/NX/SSE2 featuresNever execute Bit ([NX bit | http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NX_bit]) allows the marking of memory pages as non-executable.
Streaming SIMD Extensions 2 (SSE2) is an earlier standard that is supported by Intel and AMD CPU. This is why all processors that support NX would also support SSE2 too.Usually, this allows the XD (for Intel processors) or NX (for AMD) in the BIOS should disable this error message.
But if it is not available in the BIOS, then either the CPU is not supported this feature or the BIOS does not support this option.According to the page Intel Ark Intel Core i3 - 380 M supports the Execute Disable Bit feature. So maybe the BIOS does not support this feature
http://Ark.Intel.com/products/50178/Intel-Core-i3-380M-processor-It seems that you have to wait for the new BIOS

Pavilion 500-160ev: CPU fan control
Hello.im trying to figure out how to increase the number of turns of my cpu (pwm) fan in my Desktop hp Pavilion 500-160ev. I tried to do it in the BIOS, but there is no such option. Also I updated my BIOS but I can't find anywhere where to change the fan speed, the option is obviously locked. Third-party program does not work as SpeedFan.I have almost tried everything. Any ideas?
40 c seems quite acceptable.
The Noctua NH - D9L has a maximum speed of 2000 rpm, minimum speed of 400 rpm
If it is open to only 800 RPM it shows me that your system runs pretty cool.
You can install the free programReal Temp, it will show your CPU current temp as well as distance max temp and "the thermal State.
You can run a CPU Stress Test program to test your fan. As the program your CPU at 100%, you should see the ramp speed of the fan to the top.

500-210qe Pavilion: Pavilion 500-210qe: cpu fan not detected after update BIOS
Pavilion 500-210qe started showing ' 511: cpu fan not detected; F1 = boot' message. I checked the BIOS rev level and set to upgrade to the latest (80.13 FRIEND) but the problem persists.
At startup, the cpu fan is not running, but after pressing F1. Please notify.
From the least expensive option, replace the cpu fan (which comes with the heat sink) has solved the problem.
