Maximum number of documents in a container

Hello

I read the guide "Getting started with Berkeley DB XML for Java" and understand that by using the (true) XmlDocumentConfig.setGenerateName, BDBXML generates a unique name for each document stored: myDocName_a where a is the unique value.

I have two questions about this:

(1) what is the maximum number that can be stored in the container before there's a mistake? For example, myDocName_xxxxxxxx. What is the maximum value of xxxxxxxx?

(2) say, we delete both documents, myDocName_1 & myDocName_2. BDBXML generates this two document names again if we store another 2 new documents?

Thanks in advance!

See you soon,.
Khew

Hello

(1) the quotation of DB XML FAQ:

Number of Documents in a Container:
Internal document IDs are 64-bit integers, and must be unique within a container, which limits the number of documents in a container.

(2) No, it won't. At least I got these results in XML DB 2.4.16. So if you had dbxml_1 document, dbxml_2, dbxml_3 and then deleted Let's say dbxml_1 and dbxml_3, then the other generated name would be dbxml_4. Anyone, you'll correct me if I'm wrong.

Best,
Vyacheslav

  • What is the maximum number of supported in a PDF document hyperlinks?

What is the maximum number of supported in a PDF document hyperlinks?

How will I know how many hyperlinks, there is in a PDF document?

There is no limit per document. Links (with hyperlinks to URLS) are not stored all together, but stored for each page. There is no limit per page either but I would begin to worry about performance if there is more than 100 per page.

Just for fun, I checked how many links there are in the PDF file, I use most often (of about 6000 pages). ; There are 52 000 links inside.

  • Maximum number of files that a folder can contain

Title says it all. What is the practical limit to the number of files that can contain a single folder? These would all be tiny files, usually less than 20K, I'm looking for emotional limit of Windows, rather than the clear disk space limit.

This is on WinXP SP3 and these files would be created in Word.

    Thanks for any idea.

I think that with Win7, 20,000 of handling should not be a problem.  Depending on how you access them (such as manually via file |) Open who needs time to load all files to choose among them) it will be slow, but even XP that will handle a lot, even though it may be slower.

  • Windows 7 disk management utility does not allow for creating simple volume: maximum number of partitions exceeded error

I am trying to create a new partition in Win7 using the disk management utility. Shrank lecteurC existing to create unallocated space. Am not able to create a simple volume with this space unallocated due to the following error message.

"You cannot create a new volume in this unallocated space because the disk already contains the maximum number of partitions".

How to fix this or go around with another method to create partitions?

    Hello

You will need to convert the dynamic disk before creating the extra partition. To do this in disk management:

-Right-click the disk 0 (gray area) which indicates the total size of your hard drive

    -Select 'convert to dynamic disk.

Once you have converted to dynamic disk, you will be able to go and create the new simple partition.

    I hope this helps.

You are allowed a maximum of four partitions. More than likely you have created four "Primary" partitions

If you want to access this "Unallocated" space, you have two choices:

    (1) Expand/extend the last partition to include the unallocated space.

    (2) (delete the last partition "Primary" (save your data first) and create an 'Extended' partition, which can then be used to create one or more logical drives.

  • Maximum number of Service requests

    Hi all

    Greetings for the day!

After continuous follow-up with my client, I recently got the number of the ITUC, using which I created ID metalink and triggered several SRs for pending open questions and began following. However, the management insisted on open SR only for critical questions, in order to avoid the maximum number of service requests.

It intrigued me, according to my knowledge, there is no limit or value set, who says you can't create more than Nnn number of service requests, please let me know if it there in a. I tried to search for the same thing on the forum as well as google, but did not find. Furthermore, another application that came to my mind was, if I have the Database Enterprise edition license, and I raise questions about FCAC, it will be by any violent means the terms of the assistance contract?

Hereafter, document as well, but no luck.

It depends on the nature of your organisation has subscribed the support contract.

For example, see the http://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/057419.pdf 'Incident Server Support Package' (page 13)

Most customers would sign up for normal support that does not limit the number of SRs, but some they choose this method for specific projects / implementations.

    People,

Hello. I installed PeopleTools 8.53 with Oracle Linux 5.10 successfully. The PeopleTools everything works fine in the browser at the beginning.

After that I installed HCM and Solution Campus 9.0 Instance of database named HRCS90 in Linux successfully, PeopleTools 8,53 Database Instance PT853 can not be mounted. The error message is less to:

The initial value is 1021 and it works correctly at the beginning.  But after the implementation of another instance of HRCS90, the above error message and instance PT853 is not mounted. I change the value of db_files 1021 to 1500 in the initPT853.ora file and restart the Linux operating system. But get the same error as below:

    SQL > startup

As we see above, the HRCS90 instance work corretly, and PT853 does not start. Parameter DB_FILES the file initPT853.ora has a problem.

    My question is:

1021 and 1,500 is not enough for a starting PT853 instance, what value should be used for the the file initPT853.ora DB_FILES?

    Thank you.

Are you do not use a spfile? The file actually contains 3 values? What's the latest? Have you checked the value in the database side "see the db_files parameter?

Still, I don't know what that means.

Again, I don't understand what exactly are HRCS90 and PT853. Can not help.

I am sure, you have not a problem with this setting, 1500 files in the database is fairly large. Recently, I've built a demo, the default 1021 was ok for me. You should have done something wrong somewhere.

  • Reached the maximum number of pluggable databases

    Hello

I seem to have a problem creating a pluggable database.  I'm getting ORA-65010: maximum number of pluggable databases created.  What seems strange to me, is that I have only a plug-in database in the container.  This doesn't seem to be a common theoretical problem? maximum number is 252.? I've seen a few different numbers while rummaging through the internet.  I can't seem to find documentation about this limit or why that would trigger my max at 1.  I wonder if this can a hardware limitation, but after going through the error logs and love it, I can't find any problems with the initial installation.

A little info, installation was complete installation + CBD + PDB.  Class Server, standard installation and I can connect both the container and the snap-in internal database and connection to the outside.  Most of the time I think its configured correctly.  I have a feeling that I missed something along the way, but I'm struggling to find an explanation for this.  The documentation is fine as a response, just needing a point in the right direction.

    Thank you.

    Hello

For Enterprise edition of Oracle database, the limit is 252 connectable to databases. If you are using an Oracle database Standard edition, you can create a single snap-in database.

    Thank you

  • Maximum number of virtual disk for a virtual machine in vSphere 4.1

I read the maximum record rate and see that the maximum number of virtual disk is 16 for FT.

I have the same document I seem not to be able to see the number max of virtual disk that can be taken in charge for a virtual machine.

The number will be the same as the number of LUNS per host which is 256?  I know the max is for the host, but that be will come the number of Director to the total number of virtual disk that can be supported in the virtual machine?

In fact, in a logic unit number, we can have more than one data store that can be mapped to a virtual disk.

    I'm confused.

Thank you and have a nice week,

    Anthony.

If I am not mistaken, you can attach up to 60 virtual disks to a virtual machine. 15 for each of the 4 virtual SCSI controllers.

  • Maximum number of connection brokers?

I ran into some odd provisioning issues in our environment view 4.0.1.  After spending a bit of time stable and working with support it seems we have too many connection brokers and the issue seems to be related to problems of ADAM replication.

My question is where if anywhere is there any limit documented for the number of brokers of the connection you can have in a single configuration of view?  I spent some time flipping through the installation guide and a few other documents for the view.  They list several maximum values, but I couldn't see any specific maximum number for brokers of the connection.  If anyone has seen this documented limit can you let me know the source?

    Thank you

unless you can find something proving support evil, I take their advice and start to reduce the amount of connection brokers. We have a few VMware View environments, but our more great who has 2800 VPC connected to 3 instances of vCenter uses only 3 brokers.

The problem is that if the support tells you to do something and you don't have, you kind of you push into a corner.  Reduce the amount of servers in connection to what is recommended and if the problem persists, you have the leverage to tell them, 'now that.

  • HFM - maximum number of entities?

    Hello HFM community.

We are currently building a new HFM application that requires loading entities 180 000 +. Entities k 180 is mandatory and cannot be derogated from. My question, is there a limitation of the system on the maximum number of entities that can be loaded into an application of HFM.

Since we began to build the new application, the performance of the system took a serious blow with regard to the time it takes to load the metadata, executing consolidated, accounts by logging in to the application, etc.

    System architecture:

    E.M.P. 11.1.2.1 - broadcast in all of 8 bits in Windows Server 2008 x 64
32 GB of RAM - distributed
    1 Server Web HFM
    4 HFM application servers
    1 shared server / Foundation
    1 Server FDM

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thank you
    Tony

    Tony,

After examination of the documents of the performance / subcube architecture documents, I don't see anything that indicates a real number.

Looking at the accession of the database, the ItemID field for the tables of the entity (i.e. the unique ID field) is a 4-byte integer that has a max value of over 2 billion.

Hypothetically speaking, shouldn't there be one question here other that it's crazy. :-)

Since it's just a dev environment, I would almost think you want an application server with as much RAM as you can throw at it. (updated accordingly registry settings)

Another suggestion: ditch rules files. (or at least what it is absolutely useless) [Assuming that it is a]

Another suggestion: make several applications and subdivide data entities in this way. Combine data and then extract and load everything in the final application for all?
