Maximum resolution and automatic adjustment of the issues U2713HM

I am putting in place of new U2713HM monitors on two Optiplex 9020 running Windows and Ubuntu machines and some problems:

-The maximum resolution apparently can only be obtained using a Display Port cable that was * not * included with the screen. The Dual Link DVI - D cable is completely useless because the maximum resolution, it allows is 1920 x 1080. The only information which were available on the manual and CD that came with the monitor has proposed upgrading drivers (which increased to date already) and mention anything about who need a different cable.

-The most aggravating the problem: using the VGA cable (which while allowing a better resolution than DVI), if the computer is started in Windows it will blink once a message of 'current auto adjustment' and then get stuck on a white screen. This happens as well when starting cold or when restarting and seems not to be resolved by resetting the factory settings screen. The question is not present if the computer is booted with Ubuntu. He also doesn't seem to be a problem with the specific computer, the cable VGA or the monitor that I have several of each to close at hand and tried with the same result.

Does anyone have a solution for the second question? I don't have a screen Display Port at the moment and would like to do in the meantime, the use of the best resolution. Or if anyone knows how to set the maximum resolution using the DVI cable (if possible), which would also be useful.

Thank you.

  • minimize the browser and automatically adjust the text

    Hello

    How can I reduce the browser and automatically adjust the text in Adobe Muse?

    I want to get the same effect as on this page:

    http://Bienz-photography.ch/

    on the departure site, there is the "Welcome" text and if I reduce the browser the text adjusts automatically.

    How can I do?

    Thanks for your help.

    What you re looking is delicate design which is not yet supported by Muse.

  • Automatic adjustment of the layout

    I hope for some suggestions on how to proceed

    InDesign CS5.  Windows 7

    I have a spread that included 3 pages of different size.  Back, spine and Front (OK so the front and back pages are the same size)

    I have charts, boxes, text, etc. on all pages.

    My intention is to use the Page tool to resize the page of the spinal column.  Setting layout, the items on this page should adjust accordingly.  I have a box that covers the entire spine, that should change with the new page size.  I have a logo, that too should evolve.  All text elements must adjust to the need (focused on the spine, but keep same size in points).

    When it works, it a beautiful thing.  And it worked.

    But I am facing questions.  Sometimes the boxes, I placed and been put to scale to the size of the entire page, don't fit properly with page.  Text boxes dimensionnera sometimes not as they did before.  Items on the home page, seem to think that they are part of the page of the spinal column and begin to move in the page of the spinal column.

    It is not entirely random.  It will either work or it does not.  I could sometimes remedy by recreating the object in question and adjusting it to the mach upward with the edges of the page or the guides.  But something I do seems to break.

    It's perhaps too complicated for the intention of the page layout setting.  Something tells me that I need to make sure that an object that is placed "belongs" to a specific page.  I don't know if this is possible.  When I align an object and the left edge of the cover page, how can I be sure that its not not lining up on the right edge of the page of the spine?  This is what it seems to be done.

    Any idea would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    OK, messed with it to find a solution.

    I have deliberately increased the size of two objects get in trouble for that ARE a bit in the area of the spine.  Scaling now works as expected.  (Spine has art that covers in any case).

    Thanks again

  • How automatic adjustment of the screen resolution?

    Howdy,

    CS5 ACE 2.0

    Sorry if this is discussed elsewhere. I couldn't find an adequate response. Feel free to point me in his direction.

    I wish that my flash file on "auto size" itself to any resolution of the screen. Is it done through the .fla/AS or edit HTML? As a gift, SharePoint is pulling up the html file.

    Thanks for any help!

    It depends on what you want to achieve.  Why don't you try all scaleModes with a few things on stage and see what you like the most.

  • Firefox starts not desired and automatically goes to the Web site, I don't want to

    When I'm working on the pc, even when I did not open firefox, it opens automatically and goes to a website I did not. for most gaming sites. The name "Gameforge" caught my attention somewhere.

    even now, when entering this issue a new session of firefox (in another window, not in a separate tab) launched himself and went to http://fr.rappelz.gpotato.eu/intro6/?276760000, but it isn't always this site.

    Hello

    I have avg antivirus and iobit malware fighter and iobit advanced systemcare 6 works on my pc.

    now I have installed hitman pro and TDSSKiller but found nothing.

    But I think this could do the trick. When I run iobit uninstaller and verified recently installed programs that I found: Lollipop. I searched on the internet and it is a program that generates ads: http://www.lollipop-network.com/.

    Then I uninstalled it. Pretty simple if you know where to look. I don't know even how it got installed in the first place.

    Anyway, problem solved.

  • G560 - maximum resolution and an external monitor?

    Hello

    I just bought a G560, and I use it with an external monitor which can range from 1200 x 1400.

    I don't seem to be able to get the vertical resolution higher than 768... I'm in 1024 x 768 at the moment. 1366 x 768 is the highest mode listed, but as long as my monitor is 5 x 4 and not widescreen, everything seems squashed in this mode.

    I used to have a R51, and it served me well for 7 years. This could go to 1200 x 1400, so I guess with the advancements in technology, my new laptop computer box too.

    What Miss me?

    Thank you.

    I knew that this laptop could do!

    After hours of violin, I have to go to 1600 x 1200.

    The trick was to do a right-click on the desktop, graphics options, output to monitor.

    It was initially set to "clone screens" instead of "monitor". My LCD2170NX 21 "display is also correctly detected, so I can only see the modes that it can display. See below:

  • Option disable the clone/heal brush spot animation and automatic selection of the source.

    Many suggestions were offered to improve the functionality of the clone/Healing Brush, spot, and I agree with most of these improvements. Another feature I suggest is an option to disable the "animation" of the healing/clone as he chooses a source to heal and draw an arrow to locate in correct automatically. Having to watch a cartoon with each stroke of the brush/mouse click is a huge waste of time and in almost all cases, I have to move the position of the location curative source anyway (but I have to wait for the animation to end before making my settings). Canon Digital Photo Professional, a very basic RAW Editor, has a very simple but very effective and quick spot clone tool: Alt-click to select the source to the clone (Windows), and then click to place the cloned on-site part must be corrected.  Instant results, precise positioning, no cartoon ridiculous wait. This should be an option in LR clone/corrector.

    Have you tried clicking on the place to heal and dragging to the selected source on one step? No need for the ALT key. If you don't want to see anything like that, but your changes (no cartoon) chose view > tool Overlay > never show

  • Height of the page not automatically adjusts when the drop down menu expanded

    Using Adobe Muse CC 2015 on a Mac, I created a Web page for my company (www.unafilm.de).  I used a horizontal menu in the master page to the layout of the pages of the subsites (news, movies, about, contact, etc.) to visitors. Everything works well except a menu items which is supposed to display an another 25 points / subpages.  They expand nicely, but I can show all because the height of the page does not take into account the length of the drop-down list. So, I can only see subpages on this particular menu point that allows at the height of the page. The page does not extend and I can also not scroll down.  No idea why? Thanks in advance.

    Is nothing, that you can change. It is simply how browsers work. Unless you want to annoy your customers with a browser window resizing script (bad idea), the window is not adapt. 25 menu entries using is perhaps not the best idea at first, anyway.

  • automatically adjust the text when you zoom

    Hello.

    I m using Firefox 24 beta on nexus 7

    It was working fine until I upgraded to the latest beta version.

    then automatically adjust it the text has stopped working when you zoom in, so I have to scroll left and right to continue reading.

    any help?

    Hello, unfortunately the reformatting of the text now does that if you double click on a portion of text (and when the feature is enabled under settings). This was an intentional change in firefox for android 24.

  • CS2 automatically adjust the height of the content in the table line?

    Hi guys, I use CS2 and I have a table with many pages. I need to be able to have the height adjust automatically the content of the tables. Data are unfortunately not compatible so that some cells have 2 rows of content, others 8.

    • Automatically, adjust to the content is not available.
    • I have tried to adjust the height lines then "table" > "distribution lines", but obviously it's not good that some are too crowded, others too spacious.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    I think you're stuck to resize the width manually at this point...

  • Writing EXIF data (and how to define the side of the photo)

    Anyone had luck writing EXIF data in photos? Reading EXIF data are fairly easy, as demonstrated by "photobomber. Writing EXIF data seems to be more painful, however.

    In particular, I'm trying the face value of the photo.  I found mention on the web page of its existence in EXIF, with the code:

    0 x 4746

    That said, when I check the exif - tag.h, apparently not be listed.

    It is clear to me that this is a deal breaker or not.  The tags are listed in the exif - tag.h the only ones that can be used? Or are they simply definitions of convenience tag codes most commonly used?

    Thank you

    Daniel

    Incase others are reading this in the future and ask yourself how: my conclusion is that the best way to define metadata such as:

    -Photo rating

    -Tags

    -Description

    ... does NOT use EXIF.  On the contrary, it seems that XMP is a much better choice:

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Metadata_Platform

    Ideally, BB10 comes with the XMP library, and it can be easily added to your project. (right-click on the project node in "Project Explorer", go to the context menu item 'Configure', then 'add the library')

    Here's the code I added bo my main.cpp:

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    // XMP
    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    // Must be defined to instantiate template classes
    #define TXMP_STRING_TYPE std::string

    // Must be defined to give access to XMPFiles
    #define XMP_INCLUDE_XMPFILES 1

    #define UNIX_ENV 1

    #include "xmp/XMP.incl_cpp"
    #include "xmp/XMP.hpp"

    #include
    #include

    using namespace std;

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ... and here's what I added to the .h file that I wanted to use XMP in: (it does not include the XMP.incl_cpp at the top of the notice)

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    // XMP
    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #define TXMP_STRING_TYPE std::string
    #define XMP_INCLUDE_XMPFILES 1
    #define UNIX_ENV 1

    #include "xmp/XMP.hpp"

    #include
    #include

    using namespace std;

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    And finally, here's a big copy and paste part of the key code that I adapted to the code example in the XMP SDK I downloaded separately for read/write some common tags.  Feel free to use this code in your own applications, or to adapt it, if that's helpful.

    Note that the code above makes use of some class member variables:

        int rating;
        QList tags;
        QString description;
        QDateTime timestamp;

    One final note: there is a code that deals with the MicrosoftPhoto:Rating XMP tag. It's because I'm on Windows and I noticed that if you click on a photo in Windows Explorer, it allows you to display/change some meta (such as star ratings) data directly in Explorer. When you do so, it sets the MicrosoftPhoto:Rating tag (as well as the tag xmp:Rating, I believe). Once, he put that, if your application updates the xmp:Rating tag but don't update the MicrosoftPhoto:Rating tag and the file returns on Windows, then he continues to use the old notation before your update app. (he seems to ignore xmp:Rating if MicrosoftPhoto:Rating is present)

  • Log archiving stuck because of the issue of space

    Hi all

    I'm on oracle 10G, OS: Linux

    Archive logs have been generated and suddenly, because of the issue of space, they don't since I ran out of space.
    Now, I have increased the space... The archiving log starts automatically now?

    If this isn't the case, then what is the procedure I should follow to start their.

    Thank you
    Kkukreja

    the archives will be lance automatically. If archiving is not the case, your database will be hooked... every time that your database is in archive log mode is automatically activated without having to enable again & new
    Check the setting of log_archive_dest_state , that is by default enabled.
    no need to worrry...

  • on my desktop screen, icons are real blurry changed resolution and it wont let me get more than 60 hertz__

    Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas: I tried to change the resolution and refresh rate, but which is not help and find a way back to the factory setting on the monitor or if it is a good idea. It won't let me go higher than 60 hertz says it's all my screen to refresh 19 inch flat screen made by dell please help out of options

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Was this work very well at a time earlier - I hope that recently?  Was your monitor there ever a better than 60 Hz resolution? Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

    Go to the Dell Support and enter your Service tag number.  Who should put up your system, including your monitor (assuming that your system is Dell - otherwise just check the make and model of the monitor) and get the latest device drivers available for this monitor and your version of Vista.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them through the Device Manager (start / Control Panel / Device Manager) as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html. or it may be a simple executable file - it depends what downloads.  Given that this is the view I'd do the same for your video card (that this either Dell or another manufacturer's).  Once you have installed these drivers, restart and go to Start / Control Panel / customization / display settings and see if you have more options for resolution and can get things the way you want them to be.

    I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, post back with the results of the above options, and any other information you can give us on the devices and the problem. Let's see if we can come up with a few other options to try.

    Good luck!
