MaxL partition Load, number EssbaseCluster-1

I have a transparent partition ASO - BSO I'm loading via the MaxL script editor in the EA. The following works:

create or replace the transparent wall "App1".' RPTG'

area sourcearea1 'TotalOrg, NoEmploymentType, periodic '.

area sourcearea2 'TotalOrg, NoEmploymentType, periodic '.

to "App1".' Budget' to ' App - DEV1:1423' as 'admin@Native directory' identified by 'password '.

zone "TotalOrg", targetarea1

area targetarea2 "TotalOrg".

mapped to targetarea1 ("' NoEmploymentType" ') to "(") "

mapped to targetarea2 ("' NoEmploymentType" ') to "(") "

mapped global ("' Journal' ') to (' ');

However, by using the actual name of the server causes orphans. I'd rather just use 'EssbaseCluster-1', but it retains the treatment, as if it were a host name of the server/somewhat as the Essbase cluster internal so it says host not found. Curiously however, if I use MaxL to generate the code, it generates in there as you would expect but then does not accept it. The exact error I get is:

"Network error: could not detect the server ESSBASE listens on protocols of IPv4 or IPv6 network on hostname - [EssbaseCluster-1].

I recently had to create a partition via MaxL that referenced the name of the cluster instead of the name of the physical server. (This is necessary if you are using an active/passive configuration in Essbase).

Here is my code, with areas, maps, etc. pulled out for simplicity. I hope this will help.

Login username password on "http://ServerName:13080/aps/Essbase?" "ClusterName = EssbaseCluster-1';

create or replace the transparent wall SourceAppName.SourceDBName

area sourceArea to TargetAppName.TargetDBName

as "directory admin@Native' identified by 'put_your_password_here '.

area targetArea

mappings of...

;

FYI - in this first line, make sure that you reference the server running APS.

Hope this helps,

-Jake

  • Error of the ODI - running MaxL in loading data ODI

    I have an ODI Interface that works very well to load data in an Essbase Cube. However I had to add a stage that could run a calc script before loading to clear data from the current year and the period. I built the MaxL script and successfully tested and it works ok. However in the options on my target in the flow section, I added this entry:

    PRE_LOAD_MAXL_SCRIPT: C:\ODI_Data\Scripts\MaxL\clr_act.mxl

    When I try and run I get the below error. Any ideas what it could be? He says the full path of the MaxL script so I thought that's the way they wanted. That's the problem, I have no reference correctly?

  • Partition creation number using restore on HP Workstation Z600 DVD

    Requirement: create partition to C: (100 GB) and Dleft) of 500 GB drive.

    Using 3Restaurer DVD to install Window7, I can't create (D user-defined

    partition. Single partition of large volume (c exist.) Then I tried to resize c: to help

    window storage management and 3rd party software. The most available great size to

    Shrink is about one half (230 GB).
    Please suggest how to fill the requirement.

    Three things could be at the origin of the process of shrinkage will not get the C partition to the desired size. No movable files will not allow the score to shrink down in many cases. I came across this problem, try to adapt the C on an SSD partition.

    1. the file hibernation---> turning off hibernation and restarting will solve this problem

    2 points of C partition restore---> Turn off system protection for the partition C (turn back on later)

    3. the virtual memory of the system file can also be a problem. You can set paging to use NONE, then restart your computer. Don't forget to put back it on later and let Windows manage the size.

    The above all three suggestions refer to files not movable and where there may be the file on the C partition.

  • Split partitions in number of partitions

    I have a partitioned table. Score is based on the Date column, and each partition is for the period of 1 month. I want to split a partition into 4 smaller partitions.

    I tried split partition but split partition can be used to split the existing partition into 2 partitions. I tried to add sub partitions in an existing table, which failed, because this isn't a composite partition.

    That's what I tried.

    alter table activity
    set subpartition template
    (
    subpartition SP_1_NEWNAME values less than (TO_DATE('07-JAN-2007 00:00:00', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')),
    subpartition sp_2_NEWNAME values less than (to_date('15-JAN-2007 00:00:00', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS')),
    subpartition SP_3_NEWNAME values less than (to_date('15-JAN-2007 00:00:00', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS'))
    );

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    you would have to hit the score several times. You can recreate the object with the Assembly of partitions or dbms_redefinition allows you to change the definition of the object.

  • Sam P850 - what it takes with a primary partition 3, if I resize number 2

    The laptop model is P850-131.

    I need to decrease the size of the partition win 7 to create a space to expand and its logical partitions.
    But what to do with partition primary number 3 after resizing is finished.
    What is it. It contains data. Is - this for backup recovery Toshiba or what.
    Contain data, if no backup has not been done.

    Should I organize a new primary number 3 because it is primary end either, it's...
    It seems not to be of type NTFS. If I create another, what it should be.
    All information is valuable.

    Can you please open disk management and make the screenshot. It will be very useful to you understand what you mean exactly.

    What I can say is follow: before do you anything create recovery disk. It may happen that after changing the structure of the partitions you will not be able to install the OS using F8 and repair my computer option.

  • A slower loading into partitioned table as the non partitioned table - why?

    Hello

    Using oracle 11.2.0.3.

    Have a large fact table and do some comparative tests on the loading of large amounts of data histroical (several hundred GB) in fact range partitioned to date table.

    Although I understand if use exhange partition loading may be faster to load a partitioned table, trying to figure out why a standard sql insert takes 3 x long to load a table partitioned compared to an identical table but not partitioned. Identical EVERYHING in terms of columsn and the sql that the insert and second partitioned sql execution to
    ensure caching with no impact.

    Local partitioned table a partitioned bitmap index as compared to the non-partitioned table that has standardnon-partioned bitmap indexes.

    Any ideas/thoughts?

    Thank you

    One would expect that the queries that cannot no partition pruning may be slowed down, Yes.

    An easy way to see this is to imagine that you have a partitioned local index b-tree and a query that needs to scan all partitions of the index to find a handful of lines that interest you (of course, this is not likely to be exactly what you see probably but we hope informative of the source of the problem). Let's say that each partition of the index has a height of 3, so for each partition, Oracle has read 3 blocks to reach the correct terminal node. So to analyze each of the N index partitions, you need block index 3 * N bed. If the index is not partitioned, perhaps the height of the index would go up to 4 or 5 If, in that case not partitioned, you must read 4 or 5 blocks. If you have hundreds or thousands of partitions, it can easily be hundreds of times more work to analyze all the index partitions individual he would to analyze one unpartitioned index.

    Partitioning is not a magical option "go faster". It is a compromise - you optimize certain operations (such as those that can partition pruning) at the expense of operations that do not partition size.

  • Error while loading data file with using a file of rules through a MAXL.

    I think that the functionality to generate a. Records error during loading data in the ERR file is supported only if there is a. RUL file being used.

    Is this good?

    I tried to get. ERR files to generate by using the following statement:
    Import database PL_RPT. Reprting data data_file
    "E:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\APP\PL\PL.txt" to load_buffer with buffer_id 17
    Error writing to "E:\Hyperion\Scripts\Pln\Logs\LoadlData.err."

    When I run this, if there are errors, it is not generated any file errors and stops the load.

    I saw the technical reference Essbase ASO MAXL data loading and code syntax diagram indicates that it is supported.

    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Here are a few suggestions for trapping errors. I hope that one of them will meet your needs:

    1._____________________________________________

    spool to 'D:\logs\maxlresults.out ';

    function SIERREUR 'WRITE_ERRORS ';

    / * do stuff * /.

    Define the label 'WRITE_ERRORS ';
    spool off;
    spool to 'D:\logs\maxlerrors.out ';

  • Setup could not create a new partition system

    Ok. I just built a new rig. ASUS P55 intel chipset mobo. I have two WD Caviar Black hard drives and a RAID-1 array.

    I installed my OEM WIN-7-64 operating system several times. Mostly because my WUSB54GC Linksys adapter wireless crashes my OS WIN because of a compatibility problem.

    Long story short: the last time my OS crashed he would not be stopped, kept grinding and grinding so I stopped it "hard." Then when I tried to restart it kept a black window stall without launching. So I decided to start over with a clean install.

    Big mistake!

    When I got to the place where you want to install? I had onlyl only one possibility, I created a RAID-1 array with 1 TB WD caviar drives two of the screen. Then, I started to FORMAT it the disc for the drive I want to install WIN 7-64 on. That was the big mistake. Previously, I was able to install WIN 7 several times, but after formatting the HARD drive, I received the message "Setup could not create a new partition system. I can't find the logs and I tried all of the suggestions that I have found here and does not.

    I have an ASUS P55-Deluxe mobo with two 1 to WD Caviar black HDs in a matrix RAID-1.

    I tried to reinstall WIN 7, with the HDD BIOS on IDE. It worked once in what concerns the installation of the OS, but whenever I try to recreate the RAID array, I get the bloody message "Setup could not create a new partition system!

    I tried using partition of drive on BACK in but nothing works.

    Of course, here, someone has the same problem and has a solution.

    Help, please!

    Hi Steve,.

    On another forum, I read to remove the battery from the motherboard and wait 10 minutes before turning. Not only did it clears the CMOS memory, but "remains". After that, I was able to partition my RAID-1 disk, format the partition, load my drivers and install WIN 7.

    Thanks for the quick response!

  • Collect statistics on each partition - 11.2.0.3?

    Hello

    Using 11.2.0.3 and partition oracle to Exchange loading to load about 7 million rows in each partition.

    Concluding that if you run the query against the partitions loaded the same day, then expect that the query slower than if a day until that data gathers stat automatically.

    Thought would try to use

    DBMS_STATS.gather_table_stats ('schema', 'table_name', partname = > 'partition_name'); but ultra slow.

    but when look at sql_plan_monitor seems to be analyzes all partitions.

    How can we ensure fair stats collection is quick to ensure that his stats updates for the last partition after loading?

    Thank you

    Granularity depends on:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e40758/d_stats.htm#ARPLS68582

    If you specify "PARTITION", then he will stick to the partition level statistics.

    You must then consider what happens to the OVERALL statistics and when?

  • ORA-14299 & many partitions limits per table

    Hello

    I have linked the question, see below for the definition of table and error during the insert.

    CREATE TABLE MyTable

    (

    RANGEPARTKEY NUMBER (20) NOT NULL,

    HASHPARTKEY NUMBER (20) NOT NULL,

    SOMEID1 NUMBER (20) NOT NULL,

    SOMEID2 NUMBER (20) NOT NULL,

    SOMEVAL NUMBER (32,10) NOT NULL

    )

    PARTITION BY RANGE (RANGEPARTKEY) INTERVAL (1)

    SUBPARTITION BY HASH (HASHPARTKEY) 16 SUBPARTITIONS

    (PARTITION myINITPart NOCOMPRESS VALUES LESS THAN (1));

    Insert Into myTable

    Values

    (65535,1,1,1,123.123)

    ORA-14299: total number of partitions/subpartitions exceeds the maximum limit

    I am aware of the restriction that Oracle has on a table. (Max 1024K-1 including the partitions

    subpartitions) that prevents me to create a document with the key value of 65535.

    Now I am stuck as I have more than this number (65535) ID, the question becomes how to manage

    by storing data of the older identifications this 65534?

    One of the alternatives that I thought is retirement/drop old partitions and modify the first partition

    myINITPart to store data for more partitions (which are actually retired in any way) - that I could

    having more available for store IDS.

    Therefore the PARTITION myINITPart VALUES LESS THAN (1) would be replaced by VALUES myINITPart PARTITION

    LESS THAN (1000) and Oracle will allow me to store additional data 1000 ids. My concern is Oracle

    I do not change the attributes of the original score.

    Don't we see no alternatives here? Bottomline, I want to store data for IDS higher than 65535 without restriction.

    Thank you very much

    Dhaval

    Gents,

    I want to share that I found alternative.

    Here's what I did.

    (1) merge first partition in following adjacent partition, in this way, I will eventually have an extra-tested partition, the number of limit of n + 1 partition (this is what I wanted) - so where before I do not - charge I will eventually merge the first partition (in this case, my first couple of partition will be empty anyway in order to not lose anything by merging)-faster in my case.

    (2) any index, we have will be invalidated needs to rebuild itself, I'm good that I have none.

    (3) local index is not invalidated.

    So, I was able to increase the limit of fusion just first partition in following a good - work around.

    Thank you all on this thread.

    Hello

    first of all, in reality 'a partition table' means create a new table a migration of existing data it (although, theoretically, you can use dbms_redefinition to partition an existing table - however, it's just doing the same thing behind the scenes). This means that you also get to decide what to do with the index - index will be local, who will be global (you can also reassess some of existing indexes and decide that they are not really necessary).

    Second of all, the choice of the partitioning key seems weird. Partitioning is a data management technique more that anything else, in order to be eligible, you must find a good partitioning key. A column recently added, named "data_seq" is not a good candidate. Can you give us more details about this column and why it was chosen as a partitioning key?

    I suspect that the person who proposed this partitioning scheme made a huge mistake. A non-partitioned table is much better in all aspects (including the ease of management and performance) that divided one wrongly.

    Best regards

    Nikolai

  • To extract information of deployed services and their version number

    We have an EM environment where in we deployed composite applications. We have more than one partition with number of services deployed in them. We want to extract the details of deployed services and their versions in each partition of a file stored in a file or a table if it is stored in the table. We are not sure if this information is stored in a file or a table. Rather than pick manually the console each time, we want it be retrieved in a file or table will help us control the versions of the deployed services. Please help in this regard.

    Using Ant-ant - sca - mgmt.xml listCompositesInPartition f, we obtain details of composites deployed in a particular partition.

  • Data loading performance issues

    Hi all:
    I have two rules of loading to load from a relational database using SQL interface record of 57 M each. The cube is reset every day and the data are reloaded from the source. It's a cube BSO, 11.1.2.2, windows 64-bit version. Load time gets longer and more every day. I tried the following:
    1. rearrange the columns of the SQL statement according to the outline.
    2 sort the data source.
    3. Add the FAKE DLSINGLETHREADPERSTAGE, DLTHREADSWRITE 16
    DLTHREADSPREPARE 16-essbase.cfg file as there are 16 CPU on the server.

    None of them do greatly improve performance. What else can I try? Changing data cache help? In addition, increase parellel loading number does not appear to increase the performance, is this normal?

    Thank you

    Are you sure of the time is consumed on the side Essbase (i.e. how your query take to return results to run outside the context of Essbase)?

    There is almost always a very noticeable performance gain of sorting the input data to touch each block only once. This means not only sort your data but it sort first by the sparse dimensions. When you say that you have 'ordered' the data are exactly what you've done?

  • How to automate the process of loading data using load file & Task Scheduler

    Hello

    I do the automated processes to load the data into Hyperion Planning application using the file data_Load.bat & Scheduler of tasks.

    I created Data_Load.bat file, but the rest of the process, I cannot complete.

    Could help you me, how to automate the process of loading data using the file Data_load.bat & task Scheduler or what are the rest of the file is require it to achieve.

    Thank you

    In response to your question using the maxl for loading scripts?

    If Yes, I've seen and deliver in the batch (ex: load_data.bat) that is you do not have the path of the maxl script complete with a batch when passing through the event the task scheduler will work, but the log file and / or error will not be created. Which means lots claims it linked task scheduler, although he did not do what you need to.

    If you use maxl use this as the batch

    "essmsh C:\data\DataLoad.mxl" or you can also use the full path for the maxl or work elsewhere. The only reason why I think that the maxl can then not work is if you do not have the updated batch updated to call on all LANE changes maxl or if you need to update your environment variables to correct the command essmsh to work in a command prompt.
