  I missed the step to add groups of standby logfile. I have to recreate the standby database now? I want to say, add logfile groups ensures primary school, then take full RMAN backup and re-create the database pending (by following the procedure described in the above URL)?

  No, you can simply add it again ensures the database.

  On the standby database cancel managed recovery

  ALTER database recover managed standby database cancel;

  Then create newspapers

  alter database add standby logfile...

  and finally

  Activate the recovery managed on the standby database.

• Cannot add groups of Contacts

  All of a sudden I can't add groups to my contacts file.  I can add new contacts but not groups.  He says only: "untitled folder."  This is a brand new 13 "MacBook Pro with El Capitan with installed 10.11.2.  I removed the selection of contacts from iCloud, rebooted the machine and added Contacts to iCloud, and it still does not work.

  It doesn't really matter the CD/DVD drive is connected to SATA port. I normally connect hard drives to the lower numbered ports and CD/DVD players in the higher numbered ports. I would be in your particular configuration, connect the hard drive to SATAO, primary CD/DVD in SATA2 and SATA3 secondary CD/DVD player.

• MD3000i need intergenerational firmware with disc fails, immediate replacement in use

  So I have an old MD3000i with firmware.06 on what needs to be upgraded.  A drive has failed and our spare parts on hand for this unit out of warranty work only with new generation firmware.  So, it needs an upgrade.  The hot spare is used and works correctly, but if the memories are good, the firmware updates will complain that the unit is not completely healthy.

  Is there a method to promote the hot spare in use for a complete on vg members safely?  I'm of the Nations United-hot spare it and manually process as a sort of replacement drive?  Or the cross-gen firmware updates will be totally fine in this circumstance?

  What I would do, is to get a copy of backup you data then do the upgrade.  You can upgrade the MD in a degraded state, it's just recommended that it is in optimal condition so that you will limit the risk of something going wrong on the upgrade process.  You may want to also stop all i/o on the MD, so when you do the upgrade to make sure that it ends without any problem.

  When I try to add a physical hard disk to a Windows 7 client on an Ubuntu host, I get the error: "insufficient permission to access file. This occurs if the drive is mounted on Ubuntu or not. In Ubuntu, permissions on records House / < username > / vmware and/dev/sdc have rwx was set by "chmod-r 777 vmware."

  I have a MD300i in the operation that runs in mode simplex with a controller.  I would like to add a second controller and change the duplex mode for redundancy configuration, and I don't know how to properly go to this topic.    I found some documents that says to slide partially the 2nd controller and run a SMcli command to switch to the duplex mode, followed by:

  The name refers on behalf of the group, so the first line is correct, but you must change the other Member who appoints the members of the group.  It would be like this, 'Member AS Server Ops % '.  I'm guessing that server Ops is a security AD Group, then you could also do "members = DOMAIN\Server Ops.  Usually best to select by pressing the 3 points and choosing from the available groups to make sure that you do not have typo and you have selected the correct attribute.

  Select groups of objects in the form builder and click Create
  now, select the (newly created) object group and go properties and make the subclass
  1. Select the object
  2. Select Module: WEBUTIL
  3. Select object name: WEBUTIL

  Now press ok and fact...

  Fix webutil.pll and you're done.

• Add Group LDAP of the Organization, users still can not connect?

  Hello!

  I am setting up Lab Manager for my company and facing me a weird problem.  I have set up 2 bodies so far and related security groups active directory each.  In organisation1, users in AD security group (let's call it group1) is able to connect without a problem.  However, when I installed organization2 and the security group (let's call Group2) import from active directory, users who are in these groups to get the following error message:

  "You are not a member of an organization in vCenter Lab Manager".

  If I add organization2 group1, group1 members are able to see organization2 in Lab Manager resources.  For some reason, I can't users in group2 connect!

  It seems that the problem lies in the configuration of the group...?  Does anyone have pointers?  I have to look out for any kind of nesting of user account?

  I configured my LDAP server to point to the root of the domain - 'dc = blah, dc is com' and it seems to work OK.  I set up a service account (in a totally different OU of the other groups) and perform the test works very well.

  Just as a tip, I use Lab Manager in evaluation mode that my company provided no funding to buy the licenses yet.  I am set up and will insert the licenses once they are available.

  Which has helped tremendously! I found that I needed to delegate rights, and I was able to connect to Lab Manager.

  Since I was with a standard domain user account to run the Lab Manager slot, this account needed authorizations in the field for two objects. First of all, I need to delegate control to the domain level to read all properties for all user accounts in the domain. I'm sure you could limit to a specific set of attributes on user account objects, but that does not matter to me. Secondly, I had only allow read permissions at the domain level for the specific member attribute on the group objects. of course, I would have allowed "Read all properties", but this is the only attribute required by Lab Manager for groups.
