Measure of the kind on the bar chart

Hello

I use OBIEE 11.1.1.6 BP1 and I can't seem to be able to sort out a bar by my measure value chart. I created a simple report with the field Sample Sales just to illustrate my problem. I chose year, Product Name and #Orders as my measure and then added a sort on the measurement column.

If I use my measurement in the vertical axis, the year on the horizontal axis and the product in color vary by section sorting is not applied. The sort is applied only if I place the two columns of the dimension on the horizontal axis (see the link to the picture). Any reason, why this does not work the way I want?

Thank you

Hi Pedro,

Sort feature is different in 11g to 10 g. It's the declaration of Oracle

"The measurement-based kinds are not implemented completely for graphic and dynamic crosstabs in 11 g. Graphics do not provide UI elements to emulate sorts focused on the measure. There is a restriction in 11 g, and you can use the workarounds for the problems of sort. »

It seems that you have recently upgraded from 10 g. Before you discover other surprises in 11g UI, look in the "Possible changes after upgrade" section in the upgrade guide.

  • Create a popup on mouse over in the bar chart

    Hello

I want to create a popup mouse over event on the bar graph, but I have not found the corresponding property in the property inspector. Is it possible to display a popup on mouse over in the bar graph?

At the present time, I am able to create a popup in the bean to support based on the click event. I want to line up on the bar in the chart that was clicked. But now, it's to be aligned for the bar chart as a whole (as above the chart under the chart) when I use 'RichPopup.PopupHints.HintTypes.HINT_ALIGN_ID, source '. Is there a way to align on the particular bar?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thank you
    KK

    Hello

don't think that you can align in a region within a component. The property id align expects a component reference. Note that the mouse on a bar chart does not select the bar, which means that the data in the link layer are not defined in progress (just in case the data in the pop-up window to be dependent)

  • The bar chart colors

    Hi gang,.

I am trying to use templates on my bar chart.

For example: a bar would zig-zags, another would have vertical lines, another would have to do horizontal and so on. Should what type of functionality I with formatting of these graphs.

You can be able to reproduce models using a picture as your picture fill in the bar chart. Try to experiment with code like:

    (taken from http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2009/01/shape_charts.html)

Change "textureURL" to point to a picture of your texture and you should be good.

For more information you can see in the graphic DTD on SFX fill types: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/reports/graph-dtd-technote-2-094743.html#Special_effect_element.

    I hope this helps.

  • bar in the bar chart border

    Hello

Is it possible to apply borders on each bar in a graphical bar?

    Thank you
    Felicity

    Hello
We do not have this option to activate the color of the border of the bars in the chart by default.
Try to make changes in the .pcxml files, but it will be in effect for all bar charts you use.
    Can find them at OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\analytics\analytics\res\s_oracle10\popbin

  • bars of variable width in the bar chart

I would like to establish a curve that looks like a bar graph, but I want to be able to specify the width of the bars. For example, if the user enters 0 for the x - min, 6 for the x - max and 5,000 for y - max, then I want to draw a bar that starts at 0, has a width of 6 and a height of 5,000. It seems that the options bar in a xy chart chart don't allow variable width, but rather centered around any value of x is associated with a particular value y.

Can I do this without having to manually draw line vertical and horizontal of each rectangle?

Here is my solution (excerpt from thank you to replace my local with a magnificent property node...)

  • How to display the percentage on the bar chart.

    Hello

Can someone tell me please how to display percentages on a stacked bar chart. All the time, it shows actual values.
    For example...

    | | | | |
    | |18% | | |
    3000 |
    | | 70 % | | |
    2000.
    | |12% | | |
    1000 |
    -----------------------------------------------
    T1 T2

    I hope I could describe it. :-)

    Thank you

    Hello
Thanks for your reply. I used your code. But still, I do not get the correct result. The value in the xml file is
I say 12 so it should be displayed as 12%, but instead I get 1200%. If I divide the value of 100, then I get
correctly by 12%. But the beaches on the X axis is disrupted. Sound also get divided by 100, and instead of
    0 - 40-80
    it becomes
0-.4-. 8, which I think its get divided by 100.
Is there a way I can avoid this?

    Thank you

  • Maximum development of the bar chart

    Hello

I searched the help for this, but cannot find anything.

I created a bar graph and has had to deal with more than 200 pairs of value. Because you could not see anything during the display of the whole graph, I divided the data and added a digital stepper for results only 10 at a time. I now have the problem that for a better comparisson, I would need the same steps of value on the x axis. For example: the top 10 values are between 1200 and 1800 for the x-axis starting with 0 and ending with 2000, with several steps between. As soon as I move on to the next site, I have values between 1000 and 1100. Now, the x-axis begins with 0 and ends by 1200. The last site of the x-axis begins with 0 and ends with 14... the Question is, if it is possible to set a fixed value as 3000 and leave the x-axis always start with 0 and ending with this fixed value, so that the bars in the last pages are quite small. It would make a quick comparisson much easier.

If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

    Thanks much adavance.

    Nevermind, I did it:

    <>
    title =""
    minimum = "0".
    maximum = "{maxValue}.

  • Problem with report after a link to the bar chart

I have given up trying to achieve after only a few hours to try so I really hope someone can help with this.

I have a simple table in Apex Oracle called 'EVENT' that lists the events I've attended (concerts, football games, etc.). Page 1 of the application, I have a horizontal bar graph listing top bands on the page I've seen. On page 2, I have an interactive report that allows the user to query any attribute in the columns. You can connect to my application using http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=77768:1:10862165435051 and comments/apex_help.

The two pages worked successfully when independent. The report has been generated simply by using the following code and I could search anything in the table:

    Select * from

    of the 'EVENT '.

However, I wanted to allow the user to click on one of the columns in the chart on page 1 bar and be taken to the report on page 2 and then showing only the band column of the histogram. To do this, I implemented a component hidden on the page 2 known P2_EVENT_NAME and created a link between this element and the column of the table. The link is based on the following SQL code:

    Select ' f? p = & APP_ID.:2 :'|| : app_session |': P2_EVENT_NAME :'|| Event_name |': ' link, label EVENT_NAME, value1 COUNT (EVENT_NAME)

    of 'EVENTSLIST '. "" EVENT ".

    EVENT_NAME group

    count (EVENT_NAME) desc order

Then, I changed the SQL code for the interactive report for:

    Select * from

    of the 'EVENT '.

    where event_name = decode (event_name, event_name,: P2_EVENT_NAME)

This works insofar as the user is now able to click on the column of the table and begins to report that returns only the results for the relevant event_name. The user may return to the map and select a different column and be taken to the report updated. The problem is that the report page now is no longer behaves independently of the graph. If the report returns no more results unless you click on the chart, and type a value in the search bar will return nothing. (Searching for "Alice" should show the Alice in concert of strings that I went last night.) I know it's probably the last line in my SQL report source that doesn't hurt, but I don't know how to get the report to ignore the P2_EVENT_NAME value if it is null.

    Any ideas where I'm wrong?

I would say that rather than try to apply the predicate in the report query, you create IR filters dynamically in the table of links.

  • Sort order in the bar charts

    Hi guys,.

I am new to BI, so a quick and simple question for you experts.

I have a horizontal bar on my rtf model graph... but my axis there is not being properly sorted...

I have data on my axis Y as

    Period - P1, P2, P3, P4... P10, P11, P12, P13

I have a column order too

    Ranking - 1,2,3 and 4... 10, 11, 12, 13

But my graphic is displayed in

    P1, P10, P11, P12, P13, P2, P3... P9

Can you please guide me on how to get ordered the axis Y.

    Hi reda,.

The query that is used to display the y-axis must include a clause of 'sort by period.

for example below is the query used to display the y-axis in you.

Select the period r, period d

    ;

    Change to something like below

Select the period r, period d

    order by period;

Hope this helps, if so mark as answer please.

  • How to create a static row in the bar graph line in obiee 11g?

    Hello

I have a requirement where the user wants to see a line in the bar chart.
Now, the line is just static, we have not available to draw the graphic line of data field.
is there a way to create a static line in the chart and display it in the graphic line of bar ombo?

    Thanks in advance...

for example, I have created static line '10' on the Forex and now using this column as line by line bar report, but it is not showing the extent of '10' line in the graph.

Drag the column measures section of the graph (line - Vertical axis) to change this static value to create a prompt box edit and pass the value to the column using Variable presentation (as told by Fernando)

    Achi,

This isn't a problem with the graphics as such, but the issue of data. Since the value of the data that is displayed is huge and other data are relatively very low to occupy the chart area (Ex: 60105 Vs 10).

You can try application zoomListener or zoomScrollListener for the graph to zoom in and see the small data.

  • Limit number of series bar chart

I wonder if there is a limit to how many possible series on a chart in APEX 4.0 (specifically the bar chart). It works fine when I have until 5 series on the chart. After that, does not load the chart. I have not seen anywhere that says that I am limited to 5 series in a chart. Can anyone confirm this?

    Thank you!

    Hi Chris,

Looks like you can be hitting bug 10307954, relating to the rendering of histograms > 5 series, which has been fixed in our 4.0.2 patch release. To confirm this, could you please put a testcase together on apex.oracle.com. If you can't reproduce the problem on our hosted instance, then this would lead me to believe that the application of the patch 4.0.2 to your instance will solve the problem. However, if you still encounter the same behavior on apex.oracle.com, then please post your credentials to the workspace and I gladly take a look.

    Kind regards

  • How to manage data in css bar chart plugin

Apex 4.2 running against database 11 g.  I have a CSS bar graph plug in the regions. Now, if there is no data found in a given region the region of bar chart is empty.  I want to display a message in the box indicating no data found rather than having just a blank area but I don't see how.  When I look at the plug of standard attributes the 'No data found Message attribute a' is disabled so I'm not able to check it out.

The data source for the bar chart is a collection that is populated by calling a stored procedure that returns a sql query string.

Any suggestions for how to manage this?

One way is to create shadow graphic HTML containing the "no data found" messages for each of the regions. Use Exists (SQL query returns at least one row) conditions to display the chart area when relevant data exist in the collection, and NOT Exists (SQL query returns no line) conditions to show the "no data found" region when it isn't.

Another would be a dynamic action that verifies the existence of the graphical mark in each region and injects "no data found" messages where it does not exist.

Change the plug-in (if allowed by the license) would be the last option.
