Media Center - recorded TV menu

Photos of telivision shows disappeared in the menu "recorded tv".  How to make a comeback?

Hi carrie0001,

Were you able to watch programs before?

You can check what has happened to the programs that you have tried to register.

To check the history of recording to find out why the show could not have been saved, follow these steps:

1. on the Start screen, go to TV + movies, click recorded TV, click the view in the applicationand then click on story.

2. to organize the list, click sort by Date sort by statusand sort by title.

3. use the arrows on the screen to scroll through the list. The status for each show is listed next to the title as one of the following values: registered, unregistered, Deleted, canceled, Preempted, partial or bad Tuner.

4. for a more detailed explanation on the State of recording the show, click on the title of the show.

Windows Media Center record regular shows without problem until last week. Now I have to manually press record for each show, because the Scheduler is almost completely useless, the TV signal is absolutely perfect. Once I pressed record manually, it records very well.

In regular history, the error is not recorded: no TV Signal

This is simply not true. I noticed that this can happen, in particular, to the HD recordings. But the signal is always good.

This looks like one of three things is unhealthy

    (1) your installation disc

    (2) your RAM

    (3) your hard drive,

You must test each and then determine if its more cost effective to replace the unit or machine.

    (1) test the drive in another machine with IsoBuster - an analysis of surface and find if everything is OK if there are some errors present

    (2) tΘlΘcharger a RAM www.memtest.org - run at least 8 passes Tester and see if errors appear

    (3) download the utility from control of the manufacturer of the HD and create the bootable CD - do a quick scan and then the long scan of the hard drive and see what it reports.

  • DMA2200 Media Center records videos play hurt

I record video (standard videos not HD - Windows Movie (.dvr-ms)) at the media center help and DMA2200 has sync issues while playing them on my TV.  Finally, they play with disaggregation of now and again.  Fast forward/skip if they go through a synchronization upwards (out) and then play a little normally.  I get network error message even though I'm on a wired network with very little traffic.  The diagnostic says I'm in great shape and can do HD videos.

If I play a movie MPEG2 on the Extender, without stuttering, breaks, etc. and I can jump and quickly send very well.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks, Roland

rwkmann, which is the software that you have found? It automatically converts the video? Or you have to do it manually and then watch them on your 2200?

  • Problem with Media Center recorded TV shows DVD burning.

I recorded a few TV using Media Center shows and when I try to burn on a DVD they start and then slow down and stop. I tried on two different computers Vista with Home Premium and the other with Ultra same on both. They identify to the about 23 to 32% complete before stopping and don't ever burn anything on disks. It is said that the engraving is underway.

    Hi Kb11,

Have a. you tried to burn on a different DVD?

    B. do you use a third-party burning software on your computer for CD and DVD burning?

    C. Have burn you TV shows successfully earlier?

    D. do you have an error when burning?

Burning a TV show on a DVD can take some time to complete, depending on three factors: the length of the speed of your burner DVD, added video files and resources of your computer system. Wait for a while and see if it ends.

    1. Click the Start button, click all programs, and then click Windows Media Center.
    2. If Media Center is not full screen mode, click the maximize button.
    3. Insert a blank recordable DVD into your DVD burner.
    4. Click on the notification, burn a CD or DVD which appears.

If you do not see the notification, on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click Burn CD/DVD.

    1. In the Select the disc Format page, click Vidéo DVD, and then click Next.
    2. Type a name for your DVD, and then click Next.
    3. On the Select media page, click recorded TV or video library, and then click Next.
    4. Select the items you want to burn (check marks appear on or next to the items that you select) and then click Next.
    5. To add more TV shows or video files on the disc, on the Review & Edit page, click add more.
    6. Repeat steps 5 through 7 until you have added all the shows recorded TV and videos you want to burn.
    7. On the page of review & edit , click Burn DVDs.
    8. In the opening of copy notification, click Yes.
    9. Once the disc is burned, in the notification filling burn , click done.

  • Windows Media Center record the wrong channel.

I have windows 7 with Windows Media Center.  I get my signal through a TV tuner card.  My signal is a local digital cable.  For some time I get recording wrong channel and can't understand why.  I try to save channel 12.1 by choosing the show on the guide and introduction to the record.  When I go to view the recording, she carries the name of the program that I tried to register, but rather records channel 5.  I check the stats and it said it was channel 12.1.  I rarely watch channel 5, so it would not have been set to that channel instead.  I also close media center and it works in the background.  I'm puzzled.

By "How's your live TV feature", I meant "on your Media Center." ;)

Given what you have said here and in your other thread, I would say new TV Setup running (and you might find yourself wanting to "rerun Media Center Setup."  The latter will force a reset of the entire configuration of MC; Sometimes, to run the installation of TV is not entirely clear the previous TV config.)

As your local cable company has made an overhaul of their system, you may need to redo the TV Setup to have any chance of your Media Center properly reflecting the changes.

  • Windows 7 media center recorded TV is pixellisant when played - just started this a few weeks ago.

We used media center for months to record TV without problem.  The last 3 weeks or so he started to Pixelize recorded during playback programs.  Sometimes bring down and backup works, sometimes clicking on return to work and sometimes nothing works.  There has been no change in the material and watch TV without recording works fine.  What could cause a problem when there has been no change to the computer?  Nothing else is running during recording or watching programs (other than anything that runs under the covers) registered.

Color me embarrassed.  We rekindled our recorder standalone and had basically the same bad recording cable, so essential to control the cable.  He had a crooked PIN.  He straightened and everything works fine now.

  • Why Surface does not support WTV (Windows 7 Media Center recorded TV) files?

I have a Windows 7 Media Center, and if I try to open the WTV Recorded TV files I just get a pop up asking me if I want to find an app in the store to play this file format.  Why the Surface can not read files WTV in Windows 7 Media Center?

the bottom line is because there is no decoder DVD on the Surface. If you convert to the
    MP4, the file will play.

  • How can I copy my Karaoke from CD + G on Windows Media Center records and have my collection on my laptop?

I have a nice collection of karaoke disc CD + G I want to be able to copy on my media center windows and being able to have my accessible karaoke music on my laptop.  I need to connect my laptop to my home entertainment center and have our usual karaoke fun nights with friends and family.  It told me that windows media center would be perfect for this because it can categorize my music and make it easy to locate our favorite songs and so on please help me to find the solution to my situation.  We do not want to download karaoke from the internet, we simply want to use what we have.

Given that technical issues are inappropriate in the forum comments responses, I moved your post to the windows ' Music and Sound: forum.»  Always include your version of Windows when you post.

Karaoke CD is not normal music CD, I think that you will need a program.  I don't think that Windows Media Center can read data from subtrack.  See this: http://experts.windows.com/frms/windows_entertainment_and_connected_home/f/25/t/11036.aspx

A codec for karaoke claiming to allow Windows Media Player to manage the CD + G discs can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/karaoke-dx/files/

  • Win 7 interface of media center Recorded TV changed list to tiles

A week ago I noticed that when I started at wmc and went to record tv to watch the recorded programs previously interface has changed from a list of shows (I think it was five high Watch) to the tiles (like windows 8).  Because I don't like the new interface of windows 8 of course he must on my wmc windows program 7.

I tried different things so that he could go back (like the new implementation configurations, or checking configuration in settings), but nothing seems to work!

How can I get the display back to the list of programs from 5 (maybe 6 high) top of x columns?

    Thanks in advance, Jesse

Right-click in the recorded TV window and then select list.

  • Media Center is planning a record but didn't and defer to a later date.

Windows XP Media Center 2005 has been in place. 1st symptom was that it would block when calling my TV (usually just sitting on my TV).  Sometimes, he reached the following menu, but will not charge recorded TV or records on demand (just sitting with 'circle' symbol circling).  Discovered that sometimes if I end task through the Task Manager and restart and then not choose my TV but using the shortcut for Live TV I can sometimes get Live TV, sometimes it crashes with 'circle' symbol encircling.  Pointed out that memory almost full (indication AnVir Task Manager).

After reboot, all usually (not always) is clear and that is running. with Media Center.  After reboot, I sometimes have a monitor that is not turn off as it is supposed to (hard drives are supposed to be off, but I haven't checked that)-requires a reset forever and at 10 min., working for the monitor, but still does not go on standby after 15 minutes.

All the foregoing is symptomatic with Media Center (usually) works after the restart.  Media Center records sometimes and sometimes does not.  When it does not usually record it defers to a later date, if available, otherwise no recording until then is a guide and it as if by magic reappears, postponed.

The second tuner (usually used for recording) records while TV Live is on but if scheduled recording is not as long as Media Center is running she sometimes record and this is sometimes not.

    Hello

    See the following article:

Windows Media Center does not record a show of television as expected when you plan to record the TV program in Windows Vista

Note: The article above also applies to Windows Media Center on Windows XP.

  • Windows Media Center does not record the calendar.

Planning to record a program, but sometimes lapsed time up to the point where it does not record. I am running Windows 7 Home. Yes, I checked preferences but which differs only up to 15 minutes max.  I have reinstalled twice already. Why please?

    Hello

    (1) did you make any changes before the show?

    (2) what is the brand and model of the computer?

Windows Media Center records the first home run HD programs or any which TV tuner installed. However, you may need to follow a few rules.

-If you turn off your computer, Windows Media Center does not have a regular program. The computer must be turned on or "standby mode" to record a television show. The computer will not automatically in standby mode if Windows Media Center is open.

-Make sure that you turn off the screen and lower or turn off the sound if you have one at the request of a record in the middle of the night and don't want to be disturbed.

-Your scheduled recording may not save in the following situation: schedule you a recording in Windows Media Center to start in less than ten minutes, close Windows Media Center and put your computer into standby or hibernation mode immediately. Use or one of the following options to save your record programmed:

    a. do not close Windows Media Center before you put your computer on standby or hibernation.
    b. after having programmed a recording, wait a minute before you put the computer in standby or hibernation.

I would have you refer to the article below:

Why my TV did not show record in Windows Media Center?
