Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with my new Pearl 8100 on T-Mobile. I have a 2 GB sd card. I don't see any albums or lists or anything like that. I can't play a song, when it ends, I can only get through or replay. I reformatted and pulled the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for answering, I had my Pearl old brothers for a few days before I bought mine. There 4.2.  The same card worked fine on it. Maybe I'll try to get the handset to 4.5 to see if that helps

  • Method of implementation of player blackBerry downtime does not not with setLoopCount()

Has anyone encountered the following problem?

When you use the javax.microedition.media.Player BlackBerry app, I setLoopCount() with a number greater than 1.  I then start() the player.  Another thread calls stop() on the player, but he does not often play (maybe 50% of the time).  Nor did it never throws an exception.  I checked the help of newspapers and a debugger that stop() is called but not effective.

As much as I know, the BlackBerry is unable to respect the contract of the Player API, which said that the player must throw an exception if it cannot be stopped:

    http://download.Oracle.com/JavaME/config/CLDC/ref-impl/MIDP2.0/jsr118/javax/microedition/media/Playe...

I see this behavior on the OS 4.5 to 5.0 devices.  Usually simulators do not exhibit this behavior.

I've not yet proven if it is specific to setLoopCount(), but I suspect so.

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks for any help!

    Will be

Well well here http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/5.0.0api/ in the doc for the class of player it is a diagram explaining the player States. So it seems that the player is in State previously extracted after the call to stop() ok.

When you call stop() it back in the State prior to read but may be started. If you want to stop it completely try to call close() or deallocate().

Are you using custom mechanisms to provide data to drive as a custom implementation of Datasource, SourceStream tha or you just provide Locator url for some media?

    Hello

Do you mean the command buttons from Toshiba which control the WMP function such as play, pause, stop, etc.
On some Toshiba laptops, Toshiba command buttons can be configured manually.
Please check in the control-> Toshiba Panel controls.

If you won't be successful I recommend reinstalling the Toshiba utility again

  • Re: Satellite A300: Media Player & illumination button does not work

    Hello

I just reinstalled vista, forward, back, stop, play/pause tactile control works but the media we and light, one does not work.

    Any suggestions?
is there a driver I need to install to assign media to open media player and light to turn on the lights?

If anyone can help I would appreciate it a lot.

    See you soon.

    Hello

Lighting can be turned on and off in Toshiba HWSetup.

But I think that the two buttons don t work because they are not configured correctly.
    Check the configuration!

You can find it in _Toshiba-> Optimize-> Toshiba Assist button account support_

Here you have to click the button then could assign the .exe file to be executed by pressing this button.

Windows Media Player does not work.  Impossible to use slide show programs, can not open attachments that require Media Player.  Tried to update and couldn't.  Couldn't fix it.

    Hello

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC detects the main problems it can't fix you may need to borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

  • Windows Media Player volume control does not work during DVD playback.

When I play a DVD in Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center I can't adjust the volume with the volume control of the program or main Windows volume control.  Simply sound 100% flight.  It's on a HTPC connected to an A / V recevier, so the only way to adjust the sound with the volume of the receiver control.  When I play any other type of multimedia (avi, mp3, etc.) in the two WMP or WMC in the program volume control is working properly.  The interesting part is, when I play a DVD using VLC Player or Cyberlink Power DVD the volume setting in the program as well as the main Windows volume control works correctly.  This leads me to believe it's a software is not a hardware problem.  I think that WMP and WMC using the same "engine" so the same problem knocking them both.

    Other info:

    Windows 7 64-bit.

    Windows Media Player 12 version

Audio is routed to the receiver via the digital coaxial

For what it's worth, this same problem occurred with the same exact material when I'm running Vista 32 bit.

All other software is the latest version with all updates installed.

Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    -Michael P.

    Hello

Reinstall the WMP and WMC application and see if it works very well.

    1. open the Control Panel -> programs and features.

    2. click on Windows to enable or disable features in the left pane.

3 expand the multimedia features, disable Windows Media Player. Click Yes to continue, and then click OK to exit. Then restart.

Note: If you turn off your WMP, Windows Media Center will be off either. You may need to reconfigure the settings for Windows Media Center after her reactivation.

    4. open or turn off Windows features turn on again. Functionality in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. Turn it back on.

    5. launch Windows Media Player, initialize the program.

PS: If you turn off your WMP, Windows Media Center will be off either. This does not happen when we choose to turn off MCE.

Ok.. I got it, so you bought a provider online for personal use, right?

If Yes, then may be the unit you have purchased already has some strategies active COMPUTER that aims to prevent these applications or features. To remove all political IT from that device to first make a backup of your Contacts, etc. using BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Once you have your backup refer to this Knowledge Base and reset your device to factory setting:

KB31291  :   How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software settings.

Reseting your device as it will remove these COMPUTER strategies, but more importantly after a reset while restoring your backup does everything restore, perform a selective restoration which may include Contacts, notes, calendar etc. entries. If you perform a complete restoration then these strategies COMPUTER may return and you will have to repeat the whole process.

  • BlackBerry App World Blackberry Smartphones does not open

BlackBerry App World will not open on my Curve 9300.

I uninstalled and reinstalled from my mobile, but still it does not open.

I uninstalled and reinstalled by plugging the appworld.blackberry.com website, but still it does not open.

I tried a lot of times battery pull but still the app world opened not only once.

I thought that maybe it's because some applications I downloaded via the app world. So, I removed almost all applications too (except some bare) applications, the app world still do not open even after pressing the battery or uninstall and reinstall mobile or Web site.

Also, all this time, the global icon is found in running applications.

By clicking on the icon in the screen of the applications currently running does not help.

By clicking on the icon on the taskbar status does not help.

    Help will be really appreciated.

Try this... options > device > Applications, remove the current AppWorld.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Then:

    1. Open the BlackBerry browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    2. Go to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3
    3. After downloading, please reboot your BlackBerry smartphone when you are prompted.
    4. Check that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.
