Memory brand T400s?

I ordered a T400s today with 2 GB DDR3 module. I would like to order a 4 GB SODIMM from Newegg. Does anyone know the brand of memory that comes with this model, for example, Crucial, Corsair, etc.? Part number would be ideal as I could match the latency.

The brand is Elpida.  On the SODIMM is:

2GB 2Rx8 PC3 - 8500 S-7-10-F1

Another forum someone uses Kingston:

Kingston DDR3 SO-DIMM of HyperX 1066 MHz 2 x 2GiB (KHX8500S3ULK2 / 4G)

According to this photo Lenovo SODIMM uses memory Hynix fleas:

There are different options for the reference numbers even, you want to G7:

G7 DDR3-1066 7-7-7

http://www.Hynix.com/products/module/module_sub.jsp?menuNo=1&m=1&s=1&menu3=01&RK=20&SK=so&RAM_NAME=D...

Reference No.. Number of the org. Vol. Réf. fast DRAM product status
HMT351S6AFR8C x 64 1.5V 8 K Ref./64ms G7/H9 x 16 mass production
HMT451S6MMP8C x 64 1.5V 8 K Ref./64ms S6/G7 x 8 mass production
HMT451S6MMR8C x 64 1.5V 8 K Ref./64ms S6/G7 x 8 mass production

Since the T400s use him Mobile Intel GS45 Express Chipset that supports only 1033 (as opposed to 1333 which is Hynix H9 speed) it is the way to go.

This seems to be the right crucial part #:

    Hi Fotzou,

I don't have a lot of the information you are looking for, what I found in the Maintenance and Service Guide is a reference to the reference numbers that is known to work in your notebook memory HP. You can find this information on page 47. I have also included the document 'upgrade memory (RAM)'. This will guide you through the steps of verification of the amount of memory can be installed, the maximum memory supported and how to install it.

An option that you always check the HP Shopping web page, to see if there is memory available for your laptop modules there.

    Thank you.

  • Mixed memory in HP DL385 G6

I just got in a new HP DL385 G6 to add to my cluster (and ease my transition to vSphere). I bought it with 8 GB x 4 modules corresponds to the memory of our existing hosts, and allow it to be upgraded to a maximum of 128 GB.

I also have a bunch of 2 GB of memory (brand HP, same speed / type as the memory of 8 GB) which would be wise to fill some of the empty slots up to what order us in addition to the 8 GB sticks.

Someone had some performance issues with mixture of modules of different size memory (all modules are of the same manafacturer and speed)? I have two nodes of memory processor balanced in exactly the same configuration (8,8,2,2,2,2, E, E) where E = empty.

We mix 4 GB and 2 GB DIMMS in our G6 servers with no problems, as long as they are paired.

    @Paul80, welcome to the forum.

Here's memory and SSD who are recommended by Crucial memory.  They make great products for OEM computers.  You have to open the case and check of installed memory brand.  Then contact the Crucial Tech Support to see if their memory will be compatible.  The main problem with the addition of memory, it's buy the memory that is compatible with existing modules.

The best way to install the SSD, it's letting the existing connected HARD disk as it came from the factory.  Connect the SSD drive to another SATA port on the motherboard.  Install the cloning software that you will use on the HARD drive.  Open and select the SSD as target disk.  Once the SSD is cloned, disconnect the HARD drive and start.  The start of shoul for the SSD system.

As for a video, here is a card that has very good reviews.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  It should work well with your power supply unit (PSU).

Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.

  • Toshiba supports standards 'JEDEC ram.

It is because I want to buy a 2 GB kingston Value RAM to it. I have no money for Toshiba or Samsung 2 GB of RAM, because they cost half of what's worth my laptop.

    Hello

To my knowledge, you can use modules of memory manufacturers of different modules.
    Memory modules specifications are important!
If the module supports adequate material specifications, it should be compatible with the laptop.

A hint; The performance of the modules of memory without a name is not very good. I would be desirable to use modules memory brand.

  • RAM suitable for HP Pavilion dv6 - 3180st

    Hello world

I own a HP Pavilion dv6 - 3180st for a few years, recently I decided to upgrade my ram memory, yet I'm the one who lost I should buy.

Currently I have a 4GB Hynix 1067 Mhz (which is almost impossible to get these days),

    CPU is ark.intel.com/products/50179/Intel-Core-i5-460M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_53-GHz
    (that supports 800/1066 MHz RAM).

I have been recommended and sold a http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/kvr13s9s8_4.pdf (1333 MHz), which is not compatible, so someone will be perforated, but will not be between my RAM.

Is there a chance I can 'customize' that RAM Kingston to work or (more probably) what RAM actually buy today that would be functional?

    Thanks for the reply,

    Hello:

HP laptops as memory of very low density.

The link you posted does not work, but I copied the memory model and stumbled on this...

    http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-1333MHz-PC3-10600-notebook-KVR13S9S8/DP/B008CP5QJK

I see that illustration 4 black briefs on each side of the memory card.

You need memory which has 8 small black chips on each side of the memory card.  It is normally more low density memory and should work.

The specs are fine (PC3-10600) or you can use PC3-8500.

But you should look for a kingston or another chip of memory brand that looks like that and nothing less.

  • Checklist to upgrade RAM and rules of thumb for HP Probook 4540 s

    Hi people,

I had a 4540 s HP Probook with 4 GB of RAM (DDR3 1600 MHz PC3-12800). I need to know the checklist for upgrading the RAM. In alternative to the RAM slot, insert a map of 8 GB RAM to make a total of 12 GB? CPUz tells me that my current RAM card manufacturer is Hyundai Electronics. I have to choose the new RAM card from the same provider? What else should I look to the new RAM card to best it would work flawlessly with the RAM that is already installed? What else is there to watch?

    Kind regards

    Adil Khalil

Mix capabilities and the manufacturers of modules memory unfortunately is generally a step in the path to a memory upgrade failed or problematic.

If you want to have 8 GB physical memory, either delete the original module installed and use two guaranteed compatible 4 GB memory modules identical or a simple 8 GB guaranteed compatible memory module. Whatever it is. disassembly of the original module will be necessary. For best results use wel lknown memory brands like Kingston, Crucial, Corsair etc. Generic brands are generally not guaranteed compatible.

Beyond 8 GB is not supported in the motherboard of your laptop.

Source reference HP proBook 4540 s Maintenance & Service Guide. Your best bet is to buy guarteen 4 compatible

  • Thermal Pad thickness, brand and Type of GPU memory (surrounds the GPU chip) iMac late 2009?

Hello. I'll be repair (and cleaning after 6 years) 2009 end iMac coz ' the screen has five 2cm thick, uniformly distributed, striped of vertical lines (it is still usable in Mode safe), which indicates a good chip GPU (used to pass all the tests of stress for the GPU and GPU memory) but a subcomponent that surrounds it has weld fracture joint coz' it may have overheated in the summer (which has a record high 36 to 42 degrees Celsius) and OS X might not revved up fans enough that may have contributed to cause solder joint breaking.

When I open the iMac Monday, the thermal pads for memories of the GPU (surrounds the GPU chip I use a thermal paste with) may not be in good condition more. I was wondering how thick cushion is suitable for the GPU of the iMac (an ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB), what brand and what type (if the thickness is perhaps the most important)?

Had an accident and I want to import my favorites into Firefox but the only option in the Import Wizard is that is my B/brands are saved on a memory stick. Any solution please. ?

How bookmarks are stored? If they are in an HTML file, you can go to bookmarks > organize bookmarks > import and backup > import HTML, select "in a HTML file" and go from there.

If you have not currently saved favorites and b / m to import is already in a FF bookmarks file you could just more copy to your profile.

I have an AO722-0825.  I am looking to increase the speed and performance of this machine, and I wanted to upgrade the memory (and possibly Exchange in an SSD).  So my questions are:

    (1) is it possible to upgrade the memory on this machine?

    (2) what brand of memory that Acer / recommend someone with experience?

    (3) someone with experience with taking them on the hard drive and put it in an SSD?  I heard that it's possible, but I would be interested in the experience of others.

  • T400s - good memory memory upgrade?

    Hello

I want to ask you for advice. I have T400s 2808-DEG with 4 GB of memory (2 * 2 GB). I would like to move from 32-bit to 64-bit win7 and that's why I want to improve my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB as well. Even if I found in the techniques here what memory must be compatible (what are the aspects are right - DDR3, 1066 MHz) and I found the kit memory here that I am always just amateur. So, do you think it will be ok to work for me?

    Thank you!!! Vitek

If you're not overclocking the ram, there should not be much difference.

  • How can you tell that your T400 has installed a DDR3 memory card?

    Hello world

I got my T400 off ebay last week, and I do not know if my T400 has installed because I had this T400 (2767bk1) DDR3 memory for $800 and it seems new, but in an open package. I'm here to ask for your help, maybe there is a software that can perform a test to determine the type of installed memory card. Please let me know if there is a solution, thank you.

    Welcome to the forum!

the T400 can accept as DDR3 modules.   no other module does physically fit in the slot.

  • T400 Memory Max

    Hi all

How much is the max of the Thinkpad T400 DDR3 memory is able to manage? Some sites say 4 GB, with other 8 GB. And I'm having a hard time finding a 4 GB dimm... I think that the news are contradictory because the 4 GB DIMMs are not yet available. Am I wrong? For your info, Yes, I have 64 bit Vista (argh).

    Thank you!

    Hugues

Chipset in the T400 supports up to 8 GB memory DDR3.  DDR3 is still pretty new, so you will be hard-pressed to find 4GB SODIMM immediately.

    : edit:

Here's your "evidence"... in Lenovo T400's description, it says up to 8 gb [of course, you'll need a 64 bit for what OS anyone beyond 3 GB to use]: http://shop.lenovo.com/ISS_Static/merchandising/US/PDFs/t400_and_t500_datasheet.pdf

You can also consult the Intel site and look for your chipset and see that he takes supporting up to 8 GB.

  • Problem of memory of 8 GB T400

    Hello

I have a T400 accustomed to having the memory of 4 GB (a pair of 2GBs) installed and didn't run no problem at all.

Because the OS is Win7 64 so I bought a pair of 4GBs upgrade memory up to 8 GB. If I install any of the 4GBs system works OK. If installing both of them, the system can recognize 8GB but after a few hours, it would reboot and then display blue screen black screen saying windows cannot start and suggest repair. After running through the analysis of the repair, it says cannot repair. I can force the system restarts new it would work for a while then same question dead again.

P.S. If I mix 2 GB and 4 GB, it turns out that exactly the same problem above.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

    BB

Who is the manufacturer of your memory?   There is a discussion a bit distant on the forum about problems with 8G of RAM Corsair in a T500.

According to one of the posters, Crucial worked: T500 8 GB does not work

I think bumping my 8G T400 also, so it's important to me as well.
