    Your ad is quite confusing and I don t understand exactly what is happening. If I understand right, you cannot use Windows, but you have full access in safe mode. Is this correct?

    In any case try to follow: start Windows in safe mode and try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Do the first step, check what happens and post comments.

  • Using 64-bit Win7 to use > 4 GB on a SL510?

    I installed recently 2 GB of memory for a total of 4 additional GB. Unfortunately I learned from limitations of memory for 32-bit operating system the hard way as 1188 MB is now material only. As I understand it, I am the GROUND. Now with Win 7 64 - bit I don't have to deal with this limitation, BUT I heard you must have the same memory remapping feature with a 64 bit OS. So before I waste a lot of time to install a 64 bit OS and all of the new apps - no matter who else done this successfully? There is no memory remapping feature in the BIOS (in fact, almost no tweaking features to speak of).

    The CPU is 64-bit and the laptop supports up to 8 GB. It would seem reasonable to expect to use this memory (4 GB to 8 GB) in a 64 bit OS. Can anyone clear this up for me?

    Thank you.

    Yes. No memory remapping is required to use the full 4 gigs of ram in 64-bit OS.

    What applications do you use? Most applications are compatible with 64-bit OS, or you can download many applications specifically written for the 64 bit OS.

    If you've got legitimate 7 series, not victory. then you can simply download the win 7 64 bit ISO from the web and activate it using the serial number only. that you got.

  • Why my PC cannot use all of the available memory?

    Hello

    I have windows ultimate 64 bit and the 6 GB of ram (laptop)

    http://img03.arabsh.com/uploads/image/2012/09/19/0d36454a60fa0d.PNG

    As shown in the photo, there is a free memory and available memory

    Total: 6058
    caching: 2713
    available: 2552
    free: 1

    Why windows cannot use the available memory, although there is no such thing as free storage space!

    What you see is normal.

    Windows 7 do not free memory. He's trying to preload it with applications that she believes, based on experience, that you may need.

    If you have plenty of RAM, you can see more free memory if Windows doesn't find anything to him with preload.

    Available memory is not actively used by all processes memory but it is preloaded with applications, is of the opinion, based on experience, that you might need as I said above. If it is required by another process, it is available to be used and the preloaded data are deleted.

    I hope this helps you.

    The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

    Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

    If LR shows you a photo in "all photos" but do not show it in the folder you think he is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right click "view in the library folder. This will show you where LR think the picture is.

    Hello

    As far as I know that Toshiba has a number of different models of Sat A500... with different options, check it out...
    So it may well be that some units have one unit of distance, others not... before buying a remote control, make sure that you check whether your device supports a control unit remotely.

    In my view, a merchant who sells Toshiba laptops could you provide details on remote available.

    Welcome them

    If this is the case you need X 64 Bit drivers for the Card Ati Radeon you have in your computer.

    Therefore, you may have to download it from the HP website. or directly from ATI (if the graphics card was provided by hp then the HP drivers should work.)

    My PC running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-out-32-or-64-bit

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

    Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

    Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller.

  • Using 64-bit JRockit with OSB 10 gR 3

    Is it a good idea to use 64-bit JRockit JVM with OSB 10 gR 3?
    According to my knowledge OSB 10 gR 3 uses 32-bit JVM. Our production environment is GNU / Linux 64-bit with 32 GB memory. But we are not adequately able to use if we use 2 bit JVM (as - Xmx in the JVM cannot be equal or more than 4 GB). I intend to use 64-bit JRockit JVM to run Weblogic Server
    Are there any known issues or I'm just missing something?

    Hello Calvin,

    I found the docs of configs supported for the OSB 10 gR 3 here:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E13196_01/platform/suppconfigs/configs_al10gr3/osb10gr3/overview.html#1128234

    The 64-bit JRockit does not seem to be supported on Oracle and Red Hat Linux, so it should work perfectly.

    Hi mate

    TECRA A10 - 13I is certainly capable of that means you can use 2 x 4 GB RAM RAM 8 GB.

    Check the value of memory here. In order to access the DirectX, you must use the command * dxdiag *.

  • Satellite A350-22Z: DDR2 vs DDR3 + vista 32-bit to 64-bit win7

    I have two questions. The first is when I checked my pc on cpu - z features, I discovered that the mobo has intel pm45 chipset. now when I looked pm45 specs. on intel web site it says that it takes support 667 MHz or 800 MHz DDR2 dual channel until 8Gigs and also 800 MHz or 1066 MHz DDR3 double channel until 8Gigs so that means I can replace my 4Gigs of DDR2 800 MHz RAM (2 + 2 configuration) with DDR3 1066 MHZ RAM 4Gigs(or more but lets stick with 4) (als 2 + 2 config.)? And if it is possible, that means that when I do tahat, the warranty is voided?

    My second question is (in fact, she has two parts) my OS is Vista Home premium 32-bit and I bought win7 upgrade (from toshiba) which said 32/64-bit (also home premium) then can I switch from vista 32 bit win7 64-bit? In fact I wanted 64-bit OS, but my laptop was preinsalled with only 32 bit OS and lacked English option or in Turkish, i.e. choice of 64-bit operating system. So if I use HDD recovery can I turn into 64-bit while I would have no problem switch to win7 64-bit?

    Thanks for your help.

    The chipset can handle this, but there might be a limitation of the BIOS, which means that the BIOS recognise no more RAM. In the worst case your laptop wouldn't boot.
    I m not very well if the BIOS can handle more than 4 GB of RAM, you should test it I m very interesting on the results

    Why do you want a Vista upgrade to Windows 7?
    You can do a fresh install of Windows 7. In my opinion, it's a better option, and this will help to avoid some compatibility issues with Vista preinstalled applications.

  • Re: Cannot use the recovery on Satellite L505D partition

    Hello.

    I am trying to help a friend with their Satellite L505D who had a serious virus problem. I wasn't able to run/install programs with the virus on it. I used a Microsoft tool to remove the rootkit trojan, but I always had problems with viruses. I also lost most of the programs on the computer. All folders were empty (except for some games), so I could not access all of the tools in this way. I could not the machine to load any Toshiba restore utility by pressing zero everything with power. I saw some recovery using F8 during the startup options and had a link to restore the original setting of Toshiba, but clicking that choice has done nothing else a break for a few seconds. I waited several minutes, clicked on it again, rebooted and tried. Nothing. As a side note, once all the while, the recovery partition was visible from explorer.exe. Not before or since.

    So I reformatted the computer with a 64-bit Win7 Home Premium Upgrade disk (the partition of restoration by leaving intact) and then enter the key for the system. Supprise, supprise, it asks me to activate within 3 days.

    My basic question is, can I access this partition recovery in a different way to use it? IE copy its contents, or start on some comand prompt to log e:?

    Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hello

    To be clear: there is only one way to use the saved on the HARD drive recovery image and install it.
    Exact description step by step how you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

    If this does not work, only way to do it anyway is to use the recovery DVDs. It is: has your friend created these disks?

  • -64-bit Win7 IE8/IE9 SSL VPN How - to -.

    You must use 64-bit IE. Don't forget that THE 32-bit is the default on 64 bit Win7.

    Below a screenshot of Win7 Pro 64 bit IE 9 is connected to a UTM25 on 1.3.8-16. I checked the same PC connects to the 1.3.7-0, 1.3.9-0, 1.3.8 - 9 and 1.0.29-4.

    It goes the same for IE8.

    You must make sure that the settings are correct and the redistributable C++ 2005/2008 are installed, and then restart your computer.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en...aspx?ID=18471

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=16771

    Run Windows Update to ensure that you have all the updates for both redistributable packages installed.

    Add the site to the Trusted Sites, define any Active-X to invite or authorize; or set the security to default then low and apply. Close Internet Explorer Options.

    Empty the temporary Internet files and test them.

    1.3.15 - 1 and especially can solve this problem.

    By Mr Fixit, he was allowed to install the controls.

    I have not checked myself.

    I don't have any problems with it before this version while I am not a good candidate to check.

    I will update when I hear more about it.

  • Cannot use or restore Vista after SP1 uninstall

    original title: cannot use or restore after uninstalling SP1 Vista - please help.

    In order to perform an upgrade of Vista installation to repair the damage caused by a virus recently, I uninstalled Service Pack 1 (because installation upgrade will not work with SP1). I know there are other things I should have done (a sfc/scannow in theCommandPrompt) or SP1 slipstreamed DVD, but I did not know them at the time, nor did I think there will be problems as a result of an uninstallation of SP1. As the title suggests, I got kind of wrong.

    It all started after uninstallation, which seemed successful. I rebooted, and instead to get Vista without SP1, I get an error code of the variety of the command prompt (just the black screen with white writing). This continues for a couple of times, and after a few remedies attempts that fail miserably, I decide to systemrestore(using the Vista CD, of course) at a point before uninstalling SP1. I think it will work, but the first time, as it gets to the "development of restoration" and how he hung for three hours before, I decided to turn off the computer because he was of course not moveable anywhere. I restart and let the boot from HARD drive upwards to see if maybe something worked, and I get to the login screen of Vista, how I notice none of my devices work. The mouse or the keyboard responds (both are USB) and the attempts with the PS/2 versions don't either. I thought maybe it was a driver problem, so I reinstalled the driver chipset at the disk using my laptop (took thedesktopHARD drive, put in a box outside, then executed the installer of the chipset on my laptop and said to install outside driver), but it could not solve the problem. I also tried other restorations, but invariably they fail after a certain point, which gives me an error message:

    "System restore failed due to an unspecified error. The file could not be opened from a transactional point of view, because its identity depends on the result of a unresolved transaction. (0x80071AA7).

    I googled errormessageand see that most people encounter it while trying to install a service pack, I thought it was a problem with restoring Vista without SP1 to Vista SP1. Thusly, I used the command from theVistaCD command-line option to read my Windows Update log and got the following:

    I can't interpret it, although it seems to confirm my suspicions the transition from other than the SP1 and SP1 is causing issues. If someone else could interpret this?

    Basically I have a non-functional operating system, I can not restore it to a State of operation, nor access the input devices because it does not work on the login screen. Anyone all proposed solutions to the problem, short of a clean install of Vista? I don't want to reformat unless absolutely necessary.

    This is the forum Vista install.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistarepair/threads

    You can try the repair Forum.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    After installation > go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > get latest Vista drivers for it > download/install them.

    Save all data, because it will be lost during a clean installation.
