Using 64-bit JRockit with OSB 10 gR 3

Is it a good idea to use 64-bit JRockit JVM with OSB 10 gR 3?
According to my knowledge OSB 10 gR 3 uses 32-bit JVM. Our production environment is GNU / Linux 64-bit with 32 GB memory. But we are not adequately able to use if we use 2 bit JVM (as - Xmx in the JVM cannot be equal or more than 4 GB). I intend to use 64-bit JRockit JVM to run Weblogic Server
Are there any known issues or I'm just missing something?

Hello Calvin,

I found the docs of configs supported for the OSB 10 gR 3 here:
http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E13196_01/platform/suppconfigs/configs_al10gr3/osb10gr3/overview.html#1128234

The 64-bit JRockit does not seem to be supported on Oracle and Red Hat Linux, so it should work perfectly.

I intend to get a new PC and use the current versions of the retail me 32 bit with an XP Home upgrade that I own. I have the choice between a 60 GB solid state drive or a 500 GB hard drive, the two Sata III 6 GB/s. The operating system will be compatible with Sata III and are there complications with the SSD or HARD drive?

FWIW... Technically, you cannot switch from Xp to Windows 7. It would require a clean installation. If you are simply wanting to keep ME or Xp to run some programs then download download Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC or use a different virtual environment if it's ME, you are wanting to use. You can also create a dual boot system. It would help if we knew why you want to be able to keep the older operating system that we can have other options to present.

  • "It is not possible to use 64 bit" Message with ESX guest on Windows 7 x 64 host

I get the "you have configured the virtual machine to use an operating system 64-bit client.» However, the 64-bit mode is not possible. This host is capable of VT, but VT is disabled.

Enabled virtualization in the BIOS, I get this message. I also tried to activate and deactivate the "Trusted Execution" on the CPU, nothing works.

CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 in a HP Compaq 6910p and well of course x 64 capable, as the host is running Windows 7 x 64.

I rebooted, reinstalled the workstation, no idea why I continue to get this message?

While making sure, but do you have you completely power off your system after installing VT turned on in the BIOS?

  • What is 64-bit JRockit?  (newbie question)

    Hello

My apologies in advance if this seems ridiculously obvious, but we are running a 64-bit version of Suse linux 10 with WebLogic and JRockit JVM. We try to check if we use 64-bit JRockit, or if it's sort of a 32-bit version. The product documentation is not too helpful - the closest we can find is compatibility lists. I am confused because the only other things I can find to '64 bit JRockit' are actually JRockit Mission Control and JRockit real time and they seem to be different products.

I have a suspicion that the JRockit we installed (which came with WebLogic Setup) is able to run under both platforms, but I can't find anything to confirm or deny this. I also thought that it would be possible to invoke the JVM with some arguments to change mode, but I couldn't find anything to confirm or deny this.

Is it a 64 bit JRockit JVM?

    Thank you
    Sanfo

There is no such thing as ridiculous questions! To know if you have the 32-bit or 64-bit JRockit install the 'java-version' command. The string of generation output will look something like "(construire R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-linux-ia32, mise à jour mode)" if it is a 32-bit JVM and correspondely something like "(build R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-linux-ia64, update mode)" for a 64-bit JRockit. You can find more JRockit versions here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jrockit/index.html.

Using a HP DC7900 with Windows XP Pro 64 bit, which does not support the HP.  I found all the drivers except the audio driver.  It's a HD audio integrated with AD1884A codec.  Can someone tell me please the driver?

HP supports evrything but XP 64 bit for this system.  I already tried the mftr chipset. What struck me everything but audio.  So I installed a card SB X - Fi I found laying around.

    Thanks for the information!

  • Can I use 63-bit Win 7 Home base with the same product key that I used for 32 - bit?

1 I have win7 64 bit with licesence version hombasic. And now I use homebasic 32bits and 64bits format and install with the same key... So I jst want to know that this process can damage my computer laptop operating system? or there is no problem whatever I did!.

    Original title: Win7

Well, it will damage her, just that you will not run the 64-bit version, which means, if you have more than 4 GB of RAM installed, Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit will not support it.

You should also check that the manufacturer of your computer is using 32-bit drivers for your computer.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

    Check on http://metalink.oracle.com

Yet more can we use 32-bit components of Oracle (ODAC) with oracle 64-bit data access.

I guess you mean to use 32-bit components ODAC on the client side. I've not seen this in practice, but it should be possible as long as we do not / cannot upgrade all clients to 64-bit.

As far as I know that this unit is about 4 years old and at that time, it was impossible to use encryption 128-bit with this wireless network card and can be no change.

  • Can I use 32 bit XP Pro OEM to reinstall XP Pro 64 bit?

Assuming I can find some OEM media somewhere, can I use my license of Pro (SP2) 32-bit XP to install XP 64 bit?  I need to be able to use 64-bit for the big stages of rendering on my quad core.  I read so many places to be able to do this, but I don't know if it applies to the OEM licenses.  I read that it won't work with the media to detail. Confirm?

If this is not the case, can I sell my XP Pro 32 bit media + sticker COA (always on the disc envelope) via ebay or similar so I can recover my cost of the purchase of a new 64 bit OS?

    Hi Deschnell,

Thanks for posting. Probably if you use the media 64 bit retail with a 32 bit OEM license, the installation will fail with a bad key. I recommend that you find media with this key 64-bit or more on the site below.

  • 64 bit sytem with vista home premium which has been randomly locking up and freezing. The error is event 6008.

I have an ACER aspire x 3200 64 bit sytem with vista home premium which has been randomly locking up and freezing. The only mistakes were event 6008 with a description of the stop system prior to (time) on (date) was not planned.
When these errors originally occurred, I returned the system to acer and they installed a new hard drive. After updating the vista system blockages continue 30 times over a period of 3 months. Acer sent me a new disk image on 3 disks that I have installed and updated on 11 October. There is no blocking until the 10/27, 10/28, and for the 3rd time today.
The closed unexpected gives a blue screen if I use the locking system to the top. I have to hold the power to restart when the system crashes.
Can someone help me solve this problem?

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  But I guess it's too late for this for so long that there are probably no so old restore points.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

If this does not work, then please post repetitive errors in Event Viewer on the stop (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.  From what I understand, there is none of the events (which surprises me because a freeze should certainly generate an error event).

If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work (but you NEED a disc).  You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.  Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

    Good luck!

  • Has used two different PC with a single product key supplied with my DVD to buy?

    Hello

Sorry if the question is already asked.

My friend has purchase DVD Ultimate to windows 7. There two which is 32-bit and 64-bit. But there is only one product key. A PC is already installed with 64-bit windows with this product key. If one pc to another is eligible for the installation of 32-bit windows with the same product key? Is this possible?

If it is not possible, then why have 2 CD?

    Thank you.

They are different architectures.  Use 64-bit 4 GB or more of RAM, 32 bit for 3 GB or less RAM.

You can install one at a time.

    Clean reinstall Windows 10.

  • use 64-bit for what is faster our pc or games? using 64-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram can I fast performance or using 32-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram also gives the same speed?

    Hello!

I am a bigger fan of microsoft and want to work with you all but my age is not perfect for working with you all, so, for now I just know every thing about windows...

    (1) use 64-bit 4 GB ddr3 ram me gives better performance than 32-bit...

    (2) is of 32-bit is good for the day of work and game performance...

    (3) I am using windows 7 ultimate

    Thanks for the answer...

With only 4 GB it is not to change to 64-bit because it actually uses the more than 32-bit ram.
