  I use Palm OS by Access 6.4.0 Desktop software. I used to use a Palm Zire handheld computer, but now to store all my notes and contacts on the desktop version. I opened the software Palm OS today to discover that all my memos are not displayed. When I look in the Palm Desktop under 'My Documents' file I see the following:

  Notebook (no extension file on this one) shows a file "Microsoft Access" - modified on 12/06/2014

  The memo files were visible and functional the last time I recall to work with them, who were around June 1, 2014.

  OK, looking at my Palm Desktop memo files, I have the same files, but the size of the files is all the same!

  As you can see "Memo" in Palm Desktop, I would skip the first suggestion.

  First thing to do: copy the entire folder "Memo" somewhere else for safety.  Close to Palm Desktop, if it is still open.

  (BTW, you should ALWAYS close the program Palm Desktop 6.2.2 before turning off your computer!)  This version has a known bug in data loss if the execution of the program and the computer is turned off.)

  I use Windows 8.1, but I think that the file Explorer has the same appearance.  Open Explorer files on your computer, access the Memo file, then click on 'View' in the menu bar.   Look to the right of the option and see if the "file name Extensions" is selected.  If this is not the case, check it.

  Now, look at the files.  We will rename two of them.

  Change:

  MemoPad.mdb (the file without extension) to MemoPad.OLD

  MemoPad.bak to MemoPad.mdb

  Now re-open Palm Desktop and cross your fingers!    Let me know what happens.

  I have data for agenda 2003 to date on my Palm Desktop v6.2.  I would like to archive everything before 01/01/14 by exporting the data in an archive *.dba and then delete the data from Palm Desktop.  The export dialog says that I can choose to archive the items I selected, but does not say how to choose.  I want to select a range of dates - more precisely, 1/1/03-12/31/13.  Someone knows how to do this?

  The Export of Palm Desktop feature, you cannot selectively archive a specific range of dates of the calendar events.  There is a function of the Purge, but he will serve only to items older than a month, not a selectable date.

  • Download and install NVBackup.  Run NVBackup on the handheld to create a full backup on a SD card.
  • Then use Schedule 6 to remove the calendar data before 01/01/14.
  • Change the calendar (or calendar) led in Palm Desktop to handheld overrides Desktop.
  • HotSync the handheld to the desktop calendar data.  Palm Desktop calendar data should show then only events for 01/01/14 forwards, but historical data would have been preserved in the file exported as well as on the SD card and you can restore it at any time.

  Go in Tools > Options > Security tab click on passwords saved. This will give you a list of sites that you have saved passwords yahoo just find and delete other connections

  There are a lot of useful information in this article on the Firefox Password Manager. He should answer any other questions you might have.

  It can be saved as Auto form fill data. If this is the case, the article I just linked will show you you how to remove these entries as well.

  It's a SCAM! Microsoft does not make that neither have they partners that do and don't they hire contractors or individuals or even to find volunteers to do. There are probably thousands of these companies out there do every day - we get two or three posts like this (or more) each day ask about it. You are lucky who have recognized the scam enough not to be sucked in and eventually identify theft, infections, hacking your computer, convince you to buy software or services you either did not need or that do not really exist at all and all sorts of nefarious stuff. You'd be surprised how much contact us AFTER THAT that they realized they had been duped asking what to do. Don't waste time talking to these people, not give them any personal information it is, don't be fooled by what they can get allows you to see on the computer - in fact, not do anything they suggest on your computer or even to visit Web sites they recommend and for the love of God don't give them access to your computer.
