Menu disappears

Using FireFox ESR 17.011.

This just started recently. When you open a menu on the menu bar, the pane menu open and initially displays the menu options, but will disappear, somehow. It's almost as if he puts the menu in the background because there is a light outline of the options menu box and if I click in an area where is a list item, this item opens.

At first, it was just a gene, now it's a barrier.

Steps to resolve:
1 restart in safe mode - all the menus work as expected.
2. the disabled all addons - menus don't always work
3 reset FireFox - set menus do not work
4. uninstalled/Reinstalled - still menus do not work

On resettlement, I did not remove all of my content and settings. I need to export my data first, until I can make a new clean install. I prefer not to do that there's obviously a problem here.

From what I could find online, steps reproduced must have helped to solve this problem, they do not have.

What I would do, is to reset FireFox, removing all the addons, but retaining my personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc...).

Hello radi8, it's probably a problem with hardware acceleration - try updating your graphic driver, or in case this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.

    PROBLEM
    MAKE ONE CLICK RIGHT MENU DISAPPEARS WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR MOUSE TO THE LEFT, CLICK ON A MENU OPTION IN THE RIGHT CLICK MENU.

    'YOU can not because WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR MOUSE TO THE MENU YOU JUST a RIGHT CLIC ON OPEN DISAPPEARS before you HAVE a CHANCE TO CLICK LEFT of YOUR CHOICE. "

    SOLUTION
    [ 1] GO TO control PANEL AND click HERE FOR the VIEW MENU
    [ 2] GO to "EASE of ACCESS CENTER" AT the TOP.
    [ 3] LEFT CLICK ON the MENU ITEM "theEASE of ACCESS CENTER.

    [ 5] LOOK down THE LIST UNTIL YOU FIND to "MAKE THE MOUSE EASIER to USE".

    [ 6] SCROLL DOWN UNTIL YOU SEE THIS TOPIC "MAKE IT EASIER to MANAGE WINDOWS".
    [ 7] UNDER this MENU, there is check.
    "ACTIVATE a WINDOW BY HOVERING over IT WITH YOUR MOUSE"

    [8] ARE OF COURSE IS NOT A CHECK MARK IN THIS BOX TO OPTION, IS THERE A CHECK IT AND APPLY AND CLICK OK TO SAVE.

  • Satellite C650 - FN keys menu disappeared

    I have a toshiba satellite C650 and usually when I press the Fn key, I get a menu with all the features at the top of the screen, recently the menu disappeared, the work of combinations of keys Fn, such as Fn + F1 to lock, but others, like disable the touchpad does not work. The only thing I did that I think could affect it is I disabled some startup programs, but I've tried allowing them all once again and it still does not work.

    My screen/start menu disappeared from my office about a month ago and have not been able to recover. I have a HP Pavilion m9340f (product # KQ497AA-ABA, software build 83NAv6PrA1) Vista Home premium. Motherboard is Intel G31/G33/P31/P35.

    Tried the "click and drag" method with the pointer of the mouse, slowly working the pointer offscreen to one. I know that the solution is simple, but may not know... DOH!

  • HP Pavilion desktop computer: upgrade to Windows 10 - Start Menu disappeared

    I updated July 29 to 10 Windows using the Windows Media authoring tool.  I was very happy with the new system, everything was working fine until 2 days ago the Start Menu disappeared.  I looked for solutions, as it seems a common phenomenon and Microsoft are aware and working on a fix (this problem occurred with a previous version).  The most popular and apparently successful solution is:

    Open Windows PowerShell (run as administrator) the Task Manager (as a new task) and enter:

    Get-AppxPackage | % {Add-AppxPackage - DisableDevelopmentMode-register "$($_.)} {"InstallLocation) \AppxManifest.xml"}

    This has not worked for me.  After much trial and error I havefound change affected 'Standard' to 'Administrator' account and restart work.  Long term, however.  Someone at - there a better solution?

    Thank you. Unfortunately, I was one of those for whom this solution did not work.  The problem turned in my case to be caused by AdAware 9.0 that was included in the upgrade.  He was using a lot of memory and seemed to be blocking updates.  He was not enrolled in a program control panel, so I was unable to uninstall it.  I tried to replace it with the latest AdAware (currently 11.0) to save the program and then can be removed but was not able to uninstall version 9.0 or (AdAware 11.0 seems to cause problems with Windows 10).  I finally managed using Revo Uninstaller http://www.revouninstaller.com/ and find the program that even this program has no seeAdAware 9.0 installed programs.  After a complete withdrawal of all remaining files and a few reboots and allowing Windows Update to automatically install updates a backlog of orders, the Start Menu is back.  Problem solved.

  • After you restore rundll32.exe, I restarted my computer all the icons on my desktop and all programs in the start menu disappeared

    Every thing seems to have returned to normal, but when I restarted my computer all the icons on my desktop and all programs in the start menu disappeared, and yet, all programs are always in: Control Panel > add/REMOVE programs.   I can still connect to the internet by going to-Start > my computer > view > go to the desktop. How to get back all the icons on my desktop. I tried a click right, but in vain. I also ran a scan complete antivirus. any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you Joel S. Before I could put your advice into practice a friend recommended a friend who advised me to do a system restore, which he said he would be happy to do it for me. So look like an easy option, I agreed. It seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed), but now it seems that I need to format the hard drive. If you have any tips on formatting hard drive I'm all ears. Thank you Owen

  • All program files and shortcuts from the "Start" menu disappeared

    I use Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) (64-bit).  Two days back, I've updated my windows.  After restarting the PC, all program files and shortcuts in Start menu disappeared.  The shortcuts that I myself had added manually do not work.

    Have you tried to do the restore of the system in SafeMode as stated in my answer 1 to you?

    If it doesn't/does not work:

    If you do not want to repost in the Windows Update Forum (they are the specialists it for the best advice regarding your problem), make this disc Bootable startup repair and use it to do a system restore or uninstall the updates by using the method 2nd in my 1st reply:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • makemenu problem: display of the menu, but after selecting an item, menu disappears and pops up again in the Middle after the code is executed

    Hello

    I have a very strange problem on BB9700 running OS5:

    1. application with 2 screens, each with menu (makemenu)

    2. second screen is pushed by the first screen

    3. menu of second screen works as desired

    4. menu of the first display shows the following behaviors:

    Click on BB-let the menu appear in the lower left corner. So far so good.

    After clicking the item(own item-run block is empty) menu, the menu disappears and appears back in the middle of the screen.

    This is my code (even in second screen-but working there):

       protected void makeMenu(Menu menu, int instance) {
            super.makeMenu(menu, instance);

            menu.add(new MenuItem("fix menus",10,20){
                public void run(){
                }
            });

                    menu.add(new MenuItem("Options",20,10) {
                public void run() {
                }
            });

        }

        protected boolean onSavePrompt()        {           return true;       }

    In the second screen, the menu works fine, but with the first!

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Ted_hopp, simon_hain,.

    I found something after commenting on overridden methods (one after another):

    I have replace onFocusNotify. If I comment I out completely, the menu works as it should.

    If I just use the following code:

    protected void onFocusNotify(boolean focus) {

    }

    with nothing else (not), the menu reappears after a click.

    So I put the forgotten 'Super.onFocusNotify (focus)' call to the first line, and all things are working properly.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Restore the system to an earlier point before the show.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore

    System Restore can return your files system to a point in time before you noticed a problem, without affecting documents, photos, or other personal files. If the system restore does not resolve the problem, you can undo the restore operation and choose a different restore point.

  • Context menu disappears

    Hello community,

    We have an application adf with a table with lots of data. To improve the operation of the table, we have implemented a context menu. If I right click on a row in the table, the context menu is displayed and I can choose a menu entry.

    But...

    There is another scenario:

    I right click to get the context menu. Then I see: Oops, it of the wrong line and right-click again on another line. The shortcut menu disappears (which is good) but does not come back again on any other right click. After reloading the page, I can again call the context menu.

    This seems to be a bug for me but there may be something else wrong with my application?

    Kind regards

    André

    I build a small test case (using 12.1.3 as I do not have a 11.1.2.4 version available) and it works OK. The only change I did was to put the autoCancel = "valid" ifor the popup. This gives you better feedback to the user interface. If you set this value to false, you must click twice to get the context menu on the second row (once to close the old, once to get a new).

  • Hamburger menu disappears

    Hello

    Sometimes when we access our application built in 2015 of DPS, the Burger menu disappeared. When we close the app and open it again, it reappears.

    How can we solve this problem?

    Best regards

    Assume that it either on iOS, you mean it disappears at the top level of the application, or you start to see items in the collections?

    If this is the first, I have not observed this behavior. Could you post a screenshot over some potential steps you have taken to create the problem?

    If it is the latter that is expected. As the user begins to look at a section of a page to browse the app does not show menu icon, just a chevron to allow the user to go back button. We have heard in the forums on this subject and we evaluate our designs to improve the experience of nav and allow access to the lower levels of the app menu.

  • Add to my music menu disappeared

    So I happily used Apple music the past few months several. He loved. I made extensive use of the menu option Add to my music. Worked very well. Appeared in my lists of music very well. And then one day... menu option is missing. I believe that music publishers can turn it off for a few songs and albums, but the menu option disappeared for EVERYTHING. No problems playing music from the Apple, but failed to add something to my music more.

    I tried restarting the usual, pending, looking towards the East while clicking my heels three times and spinning a circle,... nothing worked.

    So I went more drastic. I went into settings > General > reset > all settings. No joy.

    So, I went drastic. Wiped the phone and all content and all settings / factory reset. All reinstalled. Still, no luck. Since this is a brand new 6 iPhone more, it was particularly embarrassing to have to try that, but I'm out of options and could not think of anything else to try.

    Any suggestions?

    DT

    Note that this works fine in iTunes on my MBP. Also works on my iPad Air. Just does not work on my iPhone. Any suggestions?

    Hello

    Start Windows Vista in Safe Mode with a window command prompt instead of the usual Windows interface and run the SFC scan and check if it helps.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    You can also start in Safe Mode and try to perform a System Restore to the previous point and check if it helps.
