Merge System 2-in-1 readers

Ive got 2 HD with C: on it and another with installed programs. They are 2 physical hard drives. Ive just bought a new 500 GB drive Velociraptor and want my win7 system transferred to him without having to do a reinstall. Is it still possible?

Western Digital provide Acronis True Image for their clients here in the image of your startup drive and install it on the new drive.

However if your programs are installed on a separate drive all pointers in the registry for these programs are going to be looking for files on the second disc. However, with a few exceptions, they seek the drive letter of the drive second (there are other ways but rarely used).

To avoid having to reinstall programs, you will need to create two partitions on the new drive to reproduce the layout of the old route of the disc. They do not have to be the same size, but they need the same letters if the second old drive is drive E for example you need to create a second partition on the new disk with the letter E. Then copy the old drive to your new partition.

True image can even allow you image the two drives at the same time but can limit how present you the new drive.

  • Mini desktop EliteDesk 705 G1: EliteDesk 705 G1 support mini desktop NVMe readers?

Can anyone confirm or deny that the mini desktop EliteDesk 705 G1 supports NVMe m2 disks?  I've seen mention that 800 systems G1 supports NVMe readers, but not the 705 series. The quickspecs for this DM says that the m2 is PCIe X 4, but not if the BIOS supports NVMe.

(The G2 DM 705 record clearly indicates this. I would like the 705 plug G1 DM have been a little clearer).

705 EliteDesk or 800 models of G1 Destop Mini DO take in HP Turbo Drive G1 SSD, which are based SATA, PCI-e cards. The BIOS of these systems do not have the ability to communicate with controllers NVME. This feature has been added to the current G2 models

System Volume Information is a folder hidden doubling.  Although there are ways to access, users are not intended to be done casually.

Turn off the system for all monitored readers restore will remove the restore points that are located in the System Volume Information folder.  Once you disable the system restore, run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr.exe > OK).  Restart the computer. If you have already done this, the file has disappeared.

Run your antivirus scan again and you should find that the wrong file is is more reported.

In addition, you must realize that even if your antivirus application reports that there is an incorrect file in a restore point in System Volume Information, it will not hurt it unless and until that restore you by using this restore point.  Finally, Windows deletes the restore point that newcomers are created.

While you are in regard to the restoration of the system and outside, you can also view see how much space is used for the restore points and system restore only monitors the drive on which Windows is installed.  By default, SR uses 12% of the reader; for the large disks of today, it's too big.  You will need to adjust the slider so that SR uses only about 1 GB.

  • Full updates from windows computer

I reset my computer to original settings after I had filled the hard drives. Since the reset of all this I ran is updates of windows and drives are 80% full just with the Windows updates. The system is Vista, and readers are 80 GB each. My question is if I can remove the updates? or can I delete old files or service packs? TX

I just do the same thing on a laptop and it took the better part of a day to get all the updates that are installed.  It seems that you have two hard disks of 80 GB, is that correct?  They are the TWO lots to 80%?  Normally, updates affect only the drive C: and not the other.  80% of a 80 GB drive would also be 64 GB which seems high to me.  I'm done with less than 50 GB used when I did it, and that includes additional software, I installed.  If you have updates downloaded but not installed, you have two copies of everything, so you need to go ahead and install them.  That should release at least 10 GB or more.  Since you currently have 64 GB used on C:, you will need something more just Windows there.  Some of the other things move to another partition, flash, or external hard disk drive.  If you have a single hard drive partitioned into two logical drives, you can use a utility like Easeus Partition Master (which is free) to merge and combine the free space at the same time.  You have several options to choose from.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • LPX & Elcapitan

Since the upgrade to OSX 10.11.5. LPX blocks indefinitely when trying to load a project, so I have to force quit.

My work around has sometimes worked by looking for the file in user-music-logic and clicking on it to launch. When this work of doesn´t, then I throw logic and choose an empty project, after a long wait it appears. From there, I select a template and select 'recent or open' to find a project that loads after a waiting period.

This NEVER happened with previous OS´s all my programs and OSX are up-to-date. IMac is in systems and ranges of compatibility required for the execution of my programs and plugins without third-party latency issues.

It seems as if LPX´s search engine is not compatible with El Capitan... strange... Since logic is a program from Apple!

If please respond if anyone has had similar experiences and, hopefully, a solution

You are rare, as Logic Pro X 10.2.2 works fine on El Capitan.  All three Macs in our studio works really well, as well as those of my clients.  In fact, LPX launches in a fraction of the time that it used.  I would like to look at other things.

Check your system disk (and other readers) have at least 15% of the total capacity as free space.

Run the disk utility application and run first aid on all players.

A copy of the Warrior disk and repair the directories on all drives.

You can do a reinstall of the LPX.  And check that all other content are installed.

If you have upgraded form versions of LPX and OS X, you'll need to rescan your plugins, too.

  • HP OMEN 15 (new style): I want to buy an OMEN of HP, but HP makes it difficult to understand this situation of HARD drive.

I spent the last hour trying to understand it and I hope someone here can answer my question.

If I configure and buy a harbinger of 15 HP with 16 GB of RAM and 512 m 2 GB PCIe SSD NVMe fully spec'd with the best i7 and 965 m 4 GB, I'll be able to add on an extra HDD as a secondary drive? I don't care if it's mechanics or SSD for high school, but if I buy an omen of HP configured with just the m2 PCIe NVMe SSD can later, I add to the system or will I be returned on a single hard drive internally for ever?

I found a lot of configurations all over the internet, but no details, so I decided to say F #@! He and just build a machine from HP directly and know exactly what is inside, information is not really available anywhere and I get why, it cancels a guarantee to change a system, but the information readers still my decision to buy a machine that I can update or not.

I know I can buy their free model labelled 'value' with the 1 TB or 2 TB + m2 SATA SSD but that term kind of scares me in a computer in this price range and SATA has been pretty slow for standards with the 128 GB SSD SATA SSD drives. HP also seem to leave no mention that it is SATA on the page of product information, that I found convenient.

So is there someone who has successfully added a secondary drive to the only version m2 512 GB PCIe SSD NVMe? Or someone who has added a M.2 SSD PCIe to one of these models 'value' that pair the 5400 or 7200 RPM with a SATA SSD of m2? This stuff m2 is kind of a blur without real reason.

The real sales staff seemed confused that I even asked on a hard drive...

Have you ever seen the Manual:

    Repair manuals

A couple of things stand out. The slot for the WSSD m2 drive can take a SATA or a PCi-e version. There is only one slot m2 and you have the opportunity to each of the types of player, so that they are interchangeable.

See page 33. The m2 slot is just to the left of the battery. The drive Bay is above the right side of the laptop battery can physically handle both types of readers at the same time.

The big problem is that the hard drive rails (in brackets) are "not spared." Page 18. This means that you can not order from HP. You might find a third-party provider who has but, seriously good luck with that.

So I think you'd better get one of these:

1 TB hard drive (7200 RPM) 9.5 mm + 256 GB SSD PCIe NVMe TLC M.2

    OR

    1 TB hard drive (7200 RPM) 9.5 mm + 128 m 2 GB SATA - 3 SSD (value)

If you do not order it with a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive, it is not possible to get the parts to add one in. If you are happy with a 256 GB PCIe, then the first configuration will be fine. I have a G3 15 Zbook which has a similar setup, and I got a 2.5-inch SATA SSD 512 gig in the hard drive Bay and then a m2 of Samsung PM951 NVME (pci-e), which is the boot drive.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA12K3GB5852 & nm_mc = KNC-GoogleMKP-PC & cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Solid+State+Disk-_-9SIA12K3GB5852 & gclid = CJigudCl284CFQ8vaQodteABuw & gclsrc = aw.ds

I have the 256 GB version, but most high is 512. The combination gives me lots of storage (for me)... 3/4 gig and the drive of NVME m2 is quickly sick. For you, a 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM and then a NVME m2 could be just the ticket. If you get the second configuration, you can run the 128 gig SATA m2 (of a perhaps $ 50 retail value) and replace it with a model IS 512.

Although technically only an authorized technician is supposed to remove the back cover, it is not hard to do and you can probably (no guarantee) do it without voiding the warranty.

    Hello

Please ALL these even if you've done it before as it's often the total process that
solves the problem. You should also check with the system manufacturer as some readers do not use windows
by default the drivers and need their own, use the bottom and if no joy check on the site of the manufacturer of the system.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • Motherboard: alternation of beeps

    HP Pavillion 7867 (very old)

    CUSL - L MOBO

    Windows ME

When you try to start, starts flashing the screen of the BIOS for a while and then move to another screen (something on the information system and research for readers) F2 does not allow me to go into the BIOS.  After this screen, it goes to a blinking cursor... followed by nothing.  Same result pretty well whether through the graphics card or the VGA graphic mobo.  I have found that the card had dethroned a bit.  I reinstalled it.  Until I reinstalled it, the motherboard was beep - almost sound like clicking signals sound was so frequent and close together, somewhat like the frequency of a slow machine gun.  The reinstallation of the map - I get continuous long beep.  Checked the RAM, same thing, when no RAM, continuous long beep with RAM in, machine gun his back.  Removed all pheriphals... with RAM "' free RAM '" ("" means the same thing as the last sentence ")

Tried a former RAM module - same thing (can't check it's good as goog) PSU test very well, diagnostic card POST showing 33 C1... I am researching now.

Someone had a similar problem?  Thank you.

Yes... I thought shorts or bad devices, so it was one of the first things I tried.  I also own a PC Doctor Toolkit and received error messages since replacing RAM of post Office in alternation with the deleted devices.  I was cast, it was the fact that the graphics card has become badly inserted over time apart from the problem with the motherboard, causing a different sound.

I offered to the man to replace the motherboard and the processor due to an extreme amount of dust build up, but it is to have these updated resources to its other machines of the company.

Thank you for your attention.  It does indeed sound like a mobo issue.

  • How dual boot Vista and Windows 7

I'm using vista Home premium and want to install windows 7 a.m. premium as a dual boot. If I decide later by far with windows vista and keep only 7 How can proceed?

Assuming that my OS is windows 7 can I use the same disk of vista on the virtual machine with the same product key.

Vista and 7 cannot exist on the same partition as a dual boot? How to do it.

Is ther to disadvantages in dual boot?

There are no real problems with dual boot if it's Setup corrrectly.

You need operating systems on separate partitions (readers not necessarily distinct, but definitely separate from the partitions).

If you uninstall Vista later and it's a copy to the details of the program, then you can install it in a virtual drive using the same product key (but you'll probably need to activate manually).

Here's how Dual boot Vista with Widows7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5166-dual-boot-installation-windows-7-vista.html.

Although written for other systems, the process to remove a dual boot will work with Windows7 and Vista (although you may need to use the commands and Windows7 disk): http://vistasupport.mvps.org/remove_windows_vista_from_dual_boot_system.htm depending on the situation and that was installed first.

    I hope this helps.

  • Drive upgrades

    I have a

    Precision T7500

Serial number: Service tag removed by privacy policy > | Express service code: abducted by the Express service code privacy policy > which was shipped in December 2009. I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and has been designed on the installation of a 2.5 inch 500 GB SSD (SATA 3) as a new boot disk and a 3.5-inch 6 drive to for backup use. I'll also have disks 2 to and 1.3 to existing that I intend to continue to use.

Can you tell me if this machine will work satisfactorily with SSD SATA III and that I will be able to access the space 6 TB?

    Concerning

You won't see improvement using a SATA 3 disc versus a SATA 2 drive as your comtroller does support SATA 2. But honestly, there are very little practical difference in real-world applications.

Yes, my comment about the controller refers to training of 6 TB. Newer systems will support the readers from over 2 TB as long as you have the Intel RST up-to-date format using GPT. But 6 to push things. A controller card will make it a breeze.

  • historical files Windows 8 does not recognize my drive hard iomega

I have problems with the historical establishment of files to back up my files, because the program does not recognize my Iomega portable hard drive.

I get this error message whenever I try to backup the files.

Historical files does not recognize this player!

They appear in the my computer list and I can drag and drop files it, all right.

    Any ideas?

OK, I cracked now the problem of the history files do not recognize my USB external, even if the drive expansion drive had worked initially and he was behaving normally in the file Explorer. Here is how I have it done - it worked for me on my PC - maybe it will work for others.

    1. open the file history, and then click Select Drive. Select a different drive than the one that fails to be recognized. (If necessary add a HARD extra internal drive to your PC. If you have a laptop you can try adding an extra USB drive to a different USB port - I have not tried). Continue to set up the history of the files on the new disk. Then turn off historic files on the new drive so that a whole bunch of files are not transferred.

    2. go on the external USB drive that has not been recognized, find the folder of the file history, and rename it to "File History.old" or remove it.

    3. go to your C:\Users\your user folder\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows, find the folder of the file history and rename "File History.old" or remove it.

4 re - open history file, click Select drive and select the original USB key that was not recognized. The player must now be implemented normally and begin to function.

5 remove the folder from the file history on the hot spare used in procedure 1. above.

The process described above is relevant to situations where people can change drive letters by adding or removing disks or the system of travel between readers and for this reason the history of files configuration files are pointing to the wrong drive.

  • Windows 8 crash, lost store and change pc settings does not open.

I have an ASUS S400CA, bit Win8 64 runnings. I bought this laptop in February 3013, and have had significant problems since the first day.

There have been regular broadcasts with the mode 'sleep', as when I put the laptop to sleep he would constantly show the error 'driver not less or equal to athw8x.sys' wake him up. The computer would also regularly hang and then crash without reason apparent under different levels of load on different surfaces. The temperature was not always high.
An update of the system early in the piece alleviated problems, there were more accidents hang and error athw8x.sys became much less common, happening now at most once a day.
Earlier, tonight when I woke up the laptop, it has frozen on a black screen. I was then forced to close (holding power button, because it should not take two minutes with something that is called "moment we ' installed by default) and restarted, it. Here, my trouble started; my lock screen had changed the picture. Don't think anything of him and got to the screen of the tile. I tried to open Chrome. I went to the office and realized that Chrome, apparently, no longer existed. I thought that was weird and then realized my office had no top file. I then worried and restarted, which caused the system analyze and correct readers. The returned files. However, Miss me now most of my windows, including Windows Store. Hi Mitchell,

This problem may occur because of file system corrupted or because of the conflict between certain third-party applications.

You did any hardware or software changes on the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:
I suggest you run the SFC (System File Checker) and check if it helps.

    a. open Windows Explorer.
    b. press Windows + X key , and then click command prompt (Admin).
    c. type the command: sfc/scannow , and then press enter.
    d. restart the computer and check.

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, I suggest you to check whether or not you are facing the same problem in Mode without failure. If the problem does not occur in Mode without failure, you can configure the computer to boot and check if it helps.

    Step 1:
I suggest to return the item and start the computer in Mode safe. Check if it helps.

Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:
If the problem does not occur in Mode safe run clean boot and check.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8

  • How can I remove a sequence through duplicate created with RoboHelp 8 HTML help?

One of my projects in a merged project shows two sequences to navigate in the fusion system.  I tried remove the merged system project, recompile, checking that the navigation sequence does not appear in the fusion system, then adding to the project.  The navigation duplicate sequence appears again.  I also checked the individual project and there is no sequence to browse in duplicate when I discover the ITI.  Any ideas?

Screenshot below.  Note that the navigation sequence for the NAACCR data standards and data dictionary is duplicated in the drop down.  A colleague helped me to solve this problem by opening the .hhp file in Notepad and delete a second entry under [MERGE FILES] for this component of the merged project.  Apparently, this problem occurs when a merged project is copied and modified.  The .hhp file may end up with two entries for a component, with a full path and without.  I deleted the duplicate with the path complete, recompiled, and disappeared from the navigation duplicate sequence.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Add 4 t LUN to windows host in vsphere

I have Clariion CX4-120 with SATA drives. I need to present a 4 t disc to windows 2008 server.

    I created 1 t MON (RAID5) and then created a metalun join 4 1 t LUN.

When I go to vsphere > Home > inventory > data warehousing > add data warehouses >

Configuring the host error: cannot find the file system for the partition.

Then I click New, and then click Next > I see the hard drive is empty.

So I can put the data store name > click Next and I get

object reference is not set to an instance of the object

    Can someone please. Thank you

vSphere has a maximum size for the LUN limit - it's 2 TB - 256 b so to have your windows machine see a 4 TB drive you will need to do this in two ways - both with VM - first if you are able to use iSCSI use an iSCSI initiator of software inside the virtual machine from windows and present the storage in this way or to present several virtual disks and systems operating windows cover readers-
