FaceTime will not open on my Macbook pro (el capitan).  Message: "FaceTime close unexpectedly.  Click Reopen to reopen the application. Click report to display more detailed information and send a report to Apple. "Please help me.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    Step 1

For this step, the title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

In the upper right corner of the Console window, there is a search box to filter. Enter the name of the application crashed or process. For example, if Safari has crashed, you would enter "Safari" (without the quotes).

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages since the time of the last fall, as appropriate. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost everything that is not relevant to solve a particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

    Step 2

In the Console window, clear the search box, and then select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ user

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports of incidents. The name of each report begins with the name of the process and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report on the process in question. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway. If the report is only a few lines, make sure that you have disabled the search box.

If you don't see any report, but you know, he had an accident, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report - they are very long and rarely useful.

When you post the journal excerpt or the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Cannot Log In messages, FaceTime, or back to my Mac

I think I'm finally at the end. I'm a longtime apple forums reader but a poster first...

So I was reading through forums all day without success. Here's the situation:

    -In early 2011 MacBook Pro

    -OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan

I tried everything I could find all the day, including:

    -Reset NVRAM

    -Signing in and out

-Complete new installation of Mac OS X (I completely erased the hard drive)

    -Start

-Profile comments, sign in, new Admin account login

iMessage working on my other MacBook and iPhone, but I can not connect to all services on a laptop. When I put my information, it all turns gray for a few seconds, as is the logging and then just rest on the login screen. I can do it again and again without any difference. If I say "not now" on the login screen and go to Preferences, I just get the circle icon "load" days while trying to open a session. FaceTime gives me the same "loading" circle and back to my Mac says that it cannot connect to servers iCloud.

Even more, if I add a google account in system preferences, I have 'messages' option for the account. This option is not in my iCloud account.

I don't know what else to do, any help is appreciated wildly. My applecare missed like 3 years ago at this point.

  • messages, facetime, safari,... do not work

    Hello

Whenever I leave messages or facetime, he is never able to do it again - guard who bounces in the dock for a minute component or two and nothing... It works always only once unless I stopped the machine (or get into safe mode). Ditto for Contacts, maps and Notes.

When I open Safari and click on the address bar - guard forever spinning beach ball.

In system preferences, I can't access security settings and privacy - settings error message results.

In iTunes, when I connect the iPad and I wonder to allow the MacBook by typing my Apple ID, it does never connect when I do - forever beach ball again. In fact, almost always happen when I'm invited to present credentials to the Apple ID, no matter if it's iTunes, App Store...

Many applications, that is not Apple products, jammed after an attempt to save a new file. For example from MS Excel I simply can't save a new file, because whenever it is necessary to choose the directory/destination before saving the file - beach ball pops out and never stops. The same thing happens if I try to save as PDF from the google chrome Print Wizard. In my view, that it is a general question related to the application.

Whenever I try to start in safe mode the macbook, everything works fine, it works also well after I leave safe mode and enter the normal mode, but it comes back very quickly once I'm out of safe mode.

There are countless issues with my macbook or OSX. How do I now please? I send several reports after force apps to quit, then I do regular work. Please notify. Thank you.

    Martin

    Hello

    Close all applications.

Open the Applications/Utilities folder and start the Console application.

Make an indication of the time and to start an application.

The Console application should get to lines about what this point in time.

Copy them and paste them here (as required annonymise).

This can give people an idea of where to go next with it.

I usually answer Question about the Messages, but this seems more comprehensive than that.

  • Can't no more connection to Messages or FaceTime on MacMini

I have been using my account Messages on an iPhone, iPad Mini Mac Pro and mid-2011. Recently, I think that after the update to El Capitan, Messages & FaceTime has stopped working on the Mac Mini, but still works very well on both devices.

There is an old rule here of people with the same problem, largely unresolved: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5510570

I tried everything suggested in this thread without result. This same identifier Apple works fine on this computer, in iTunes, App Store, iCloud, it just stopped working in the Messages or FaceTime. I try to open a session the same ID that works successfully on the iPhone and iPad, but on the Mini, he says "could not sign an iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try again. »

    I'm under 10.11.6.

I am surprised to see that this has been a problem for so long, judging by this thread how much time is spent... Very frustrating.

This could be a difficult problem to solve, as there are several possible causes for this. Please test after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried it. Back up all data before making any changes.

Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. This could be a Wi - Fi access point public, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network, if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or your ISP, not in your computer.

    Step 1

Check the status of the service. If the service is stopped, wait until he comes back upward. There may be a power outage, localized, even if the indicator is green.

    Step 2

    In the menu bar, select

     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Date & time zone ▹

The nearest town from there where you are should be selected on the map.

    Step 3

Disconnect you iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Sign out and then sign back in. Try to connect again.

    Step 4

Restart your router and your device at wide band, if they are separated. You may skip this step if you don't control these devices.

    Step 5

Follow these instructions to view the serial number of the machine. If the number is missing or invalid according to the web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or another service center authorized to correct the problem.

    Step 6

The measures suggested in this support article. If you do not understand some of the steps or leads them not, ask for advice. Note in particular that the email address associated to your identifier Apple should be checked. If the address is in the field obsolete mac.com, you will have to change.

    Step 7

    In the menu bar, select

     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network

If the preferences window is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Click the Advanced button, and then select the Proxies tab. If the SOCKS Proxy box is checked, uncheck it. You don't need to change other parameters in the window. Click OK, and then apply. Test.

The result may be that you can not connect to Internet at all. Cancel the change, if any, or if iMessage still does not work. Remember that you must apply changes made in the preferences window to take effect.

    Step 8

    Select in the menu bar

     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Flash Player ▹ storage

    and click on

Block all sites to store information on this computer

    Close the preferences window.

    Step 9

Make sure that you know the ID and the password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and remove all items containing "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name. Sign out and then sign back in.

    Step 10

Select connections comments * and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you won't have access to your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Don't worry about that; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create an account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.

    Step 11

Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion drive or a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including his outputand Wi - Fi on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.

If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still does not work when you restart in 'normal' mode, stop here and post your results.

    Step 12

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd.plist

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

Services ▹ reveal in Finder (or just to reveal)

of the contextual menu.*, a file must open with a selected item. Move selected item to the trash. You may be prompted for administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the trash.

    * If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

    Step 13

    Reset the NVRAM.

    Step 14

Reset the controller (SMC) system management.

    Step 15

    Reinstalling OS X.

    Step 16

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, make an appointment 'Genius' on an Apple Retail Store or contact Apple's Support. When you configure a support call, select "Apple ID" as the product that you need help, not model material. In this way, if you're not under AppleCare, you can talk your way out of being charged for the call.

  • message on my Apple Iphone SE

I received a message on my Apple Iphone is "your Apple ID and phone number are currently used on a new Mac" what does that mean?

This means what he says. The Apple ID, you use on your phone is now used on a Mac and Messages / FaceTime are set up with that ID and your phone number.

  • I can't sign in FaceTime or IMessage

  • Lost my old conversations of Messages

I had a conversation of Messages indicating permanently there are unread messages when there was not. I tried to fix it by deleting files ~/Library several. It worked. He removed the history of all my conversations. I thought that once I've reconfigured Messages messages would be re-synchronization of iCloud, but apparently I was wrong?

    Yes.

    You were wrong.

Messages are saved when closing (see Preferences) are stored in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Messages/Archive

iMessages 'Story' and a summary of the items in the folder to Archive are held in three chat.db in ~/Library/Messages element

According to what .plist (s) you have you removed could have affected the details in the main Chat window, but it is no longer clear the list of cats/Conversations actually taking place.

iMessages has nothing to do with iCloud.  (others that you need a linked iCloud Apple ID)

If you look in the system preferences > iCloud there is nothing to activate the Messages, FaceTime, iTunes, the call store, iBooks and others.

They use different servers and you can use the different IDS if you want (it is profitable to use the same iMessages and FaceTime because you can call FaceTime to iMessages and it would confuse your Contact if the FaceTime call came from one different ID - the same for the other three because they can access on line Fund account or the payment even).

    Another way.

There in nothing in these lists for these Apps I listed

Once an iMessages has been sent by the server iMessages and accepted by the device, it was sent it precipitates of iMessages servers.

An iMessages's sort of "copied" for each device you have saved and sent to each unique based on the connection that uses the serial number of the camera well and ID, and the password (an iPhone can not get one for a Mac so to speak).

Everytmine, I get one of the remplaser phones do not work properly.  What solution I can get with out going to the store and size min 4 hours of my day that I can't keep having the same problems or new?

There is no magic solution.  Try the basic troubleshooting steps recommended by Apple: reboot, reset, restore from a backup.

If these steps fail to resolve the problem, restore the phone as a new device.  DO NOT ADD APPS.  See if the phone and all the applications provided by apple, such as messages, FaceTime, etc work correctly.  If not, then you may have a hardware problem and will need to bring the phone to Apple for the assessment.

If the phone works properly after the restoration as a new device, then add some dos applications.  Use the phone for a while and see if it works properly.  If this isn't the case, then one of the 3rd party apps is at fault.  If it does not, add another app or two and use the phone.  Repeat the process.

    Ur stuck.

If they can remember the email address, they should be able to reset the password.  You may be able to find the email on the device.

You get with them to solve the problem. Make them take the device to an apple store with the original invoice and apple are likely to help him.
