  I have problem to sign in Msn messenger for 2 years. I tried to email you directly, but I have no chance.

  XP SP3 is my operating system. After trying everything that I found on internet to solve the problem, I'm really upset that company as Microsoft does not support clean products.

  Last night, I even try that fix button when I tried to uninstall messenger, but after a reboot, there was still the sam errror.

  I hope that someone will find the answer to this, because msn messenger has been my favorite.

• LifeCam Cinema not recognized under Windows XP (SP3) but works in Messenger (MSN and Yahoo) and Skype

  • On the opening of the LifeCam program, it tells me that "no camera is connected to this computer.  The computer recognizes the new hardware and the device manager says that the hardware is working correctly.  I tried the same procedure on my PC and laptop with the same result.

  It is a very persistent problem for me, I'm on Vista Home Premium and whenever I open the Camera Assistant Software or Windows Live Messenger/MSN the webcam works, but a second later, it turns black/brown!

  First remove the old software. Then clean the registry and the OS using the free software tool called CCleaner and reboot after and then install the new software.

  FWIW, there is no mention of MSN in any of these opportunities, although he asked insistently.   It seems that's just sort of alias now Live ID in which case the WLSC might still be a better place to ask for help, depending on what you mean by "does not work".   ; )

  Method 1
  I suggest that you set the computer to the boot and try to use the Messenger. The following link will help you configure the computer to boot.

• Uninstall Windows Live Messenger.

  Can't find Windows Live Messenger icon in the startup under Windows Live programs. Live Communicator start I tried and it says install Live Messenger. Try to re-insalling Windows Live and Messenger is installed, it shows. Find the folder Messenger Live folder but cannot find an executable file of Messenger inside. • Windows Live Messenger does not work on my HP Touchsmart Windows 7 computer

  I can't get windows live messenger to work on my new computer windows 7 HP touchsmart.  I only use msn before that.  When troubleshooting it says to check my proxy settings in messenger options.  Well, there is no 'options' tab to select, then no idea even where to choose from.  I tried to go to "start," "programs" then windows live messenger, but it doesn't open the sign in page - no option at all, even if the right click.

  Very frustrating to say the least.  I can not even find where to go to the microsoft Web page to ask for help to fix this problem.

  I even turned off my firewall setting and that did not help.  When I checked my firewall, it says windows live Messenger had permission - so I don't think it's that.

  I am considering removing the Messenger program just as he ceases to appear to connect but it does not work!

  Windows Live Solution Center just takes me in circles and won't let me ask a question.

  I agree that navigation on this site is not always intuitive, but there is a link to ask a question on each page. You must be signed in with a ID Live ID in order to ask a question, just like this site (responses).
