MIC not working not not with Vista Home Basic

Since I installed Vista Home Basic microphone does not work. It worked perfectly with Windows 98 earlier. The speakers are OK. The microphone is connected is not detected by the system. Vista has been updated with the Service Pack SP1. The sound card is integrated into the motherboard (Intel G945GCL). The sound material is described in as "High definition Audio Device" Device Manager. I checked that the drivers installed are later.

Can someone please help me to operate the microphone?

  • Acer Aspire laptop with Vista Home Basic Edition does not, System Restore does not, sfc, find corrupt files but do not repair. Need help!

Hi, I have an Acer laptop Aspire with Vista Home Basic Edition that came pre-installed, so no records only the disk hard drive partition.

I turned on my laptop today and it starts but the loading bar of stalls at the black screen with "(c) Microsoft Corporation" and dragging green. The slide bar will continue to drag, but nothing else happens which means that I understand even as much as the login screen. I rebooted and tried Windows recovery, but the only remedy to what he suggests is a restoration of the system, which does not have any point, I try to restore it.

To remedy this, I have connected in safe mode and ran the SFC command prompt. It scans my system and told to find corrupted files, but he can't heal some. This is where my knowledge limit runs out. I don't know how to fix the files that the SFC cannot. (Also I created a journal using the findstr command prompt and checked but it say anywhere that it was unable to fix it so I'm not even sure how to identify corrupted files)

As it's an Acer laptop, Aspire I'll try their eRecovery tool to return my computer to factory settings, but it won't work in safe mode, and as I said I can not connect normally. I tried alt and F10 at the initial boot screen when I turn on, it loads the windows files and shows the Acer "Please wait a moment" screen and then nothing happens again.

I can't afford to get it fixed, and there is no chance I can get a new laptop. Any ideas/help? Thank you.

    Hello

You will be able to install Windows Xp on your computer, but you will need to perform a clean installation.

Before installing Windows XP. And also, you will have to take up the data in your computer, because the new facility will remove all data into the computer.

Download the driver from the support of dell at the following link:

  • Screenshot with Vista Home Basic

I need to know how to take a screenshot with my Vista Home Basic. The information page of Microsoft said "take a screen capture (print screen). Applies to all editions of Windows Vista. To copy the entire screen:

    Press PRINT SCREEN. »

I can tell you that it does not work.

    What is the secret?

    Thank you.

    Write to me here: chaselink / / to the / / aol / / dot / / com

It took me forever to figure this out myself, lol.

After pressing the 'PrintScreen' key, open MS Paint, go to the Edit menu and choose "Paste." The screenshot collected should stick in and can now be saved in jpg or png format.

If it still does not respond, it is possible that a third-party program has diverted the button for his own purposes.

  • Laptop Dell with Vista Home Basic... Want to change my OS

I bought a Dell laptop, my choice for OS Vista Basic and Windows 7 64-bit.

Unable to get 64 bit 7 because of a critical driver problem, lack of 3rd-party. I have a XP disc, can I use the product key

for vista OS to activate XP.

    Thank you

    N °

You can't use the product key for Vista to XP Activation!

Installation of XP instead of Vista:

Come on first, site of the manufacturer of your computer, check to see if your model computer has XP drivers available for it...

If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.

If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.

Then buy a disc XP and license.

Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.

Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.

    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp

Once installed, reload ALL your other programs of original media, or download again.

Reload all drivers and utilities for your motherboard.

  • How can I get another copy of Vista to install in your laptop, I bought a few years back with Vista Home Basic installed?

My hard drive failed and I have installed a new. I received the laptop and the product code Vista of the sticker on the underside.

    Hello

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

then get the latest drivers for vista on laptop manufacturers website

  • Add the volume control Office on my HP G70 with Vista Home Basic 32-bit sp2

I have the speaker icon in the notification area. But I want the Green volume indicator that moves on the screen when I hit the volume key up/down.

To do this, you will need to install/reinstall the software that came with the keyboard (possibly on a CD-rom).

  • Audio & CD/DVD drive not working only not with Vista

I have a laptop HP V6500 Pressario, with Vista Home Basic installed recently. I have two problems with my laptop:

1 > there is no sound, and I see the error "no audio device is installed" with a red cross on the "speaker" icon.
2 > drive CD/DVD is not visible in 'my computer '.

These two problems are persistent, but begin to work from time to time, say once 20 times when I turn on the laptop, I see the CD drive and also audio works, but these work only for about 10 minutes...

I tried the Dr.Fixit and it did not help and have also installed the latest drivers for my notebook to the hp site:

    Hey riri,.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Delete the invalid registry keys
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. in the navigation pane, find and then click the following registry subkey:
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    3. in the right pane, click UpperFilters.
Note: You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You don't have to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to delete the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 6.
    4. in the Edit menu, click on delete.
    5. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
    6. in the right pane, click LowerFilters.
Note: If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you further.
    7. on the Edit menu, click on delete.
    8. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
    9. exit the registry editor.
    10. restart the computer.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: see How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
Step 2: Uninstall any software CD/DVD burning.
    1. Click Start, type appwiz.cpl and press to enter.
    2. from the list of programs, select CD/DVD burning software and click on uninstall.
    3. once the uninstall, restart the computer.

Step 3: Install device drivers in a new user account.
    1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.
    2. click on manage another account.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. click on create a new account.

    4. type the name you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click on create an account.

    I hope this helps.

  • Vista Home Basic - update SP2 fails error 0xc0190005 code

I have and Acer Aspire 5315 with Vista Home Basic installed.

Today I downloaded and started to install SP2 and all seemed well until reboot, where I am treated to a black screen showing what I presume to be names of files or registry entries because they are updated. The line begins by xxxx/64281 and a dewcription who follows between parentheses.

This process never ends because it showing:
    "!! 0xc0190005! 22412/64281 (\Registry\machine\schema\ wcm://Microsoft...) »
The end of this line appears truncated for me so I do not know which file or registry entry that is a failure on.

I tried to repair using startup options and he didn't offer not a choice of restore points, just tells me it is either restore to a previous state (which stops working after about 5 minutes and then he's here doing nothing for so long let him - more than an hour!) or disk errors fixing which translates to reset and the same error once again product.

Safe mode does not start and restore the last good known eventually brings us to square one.

Is there someone who can translate this cryptic error code and point me in the right direction?
Please Don ' t just point me to an article and if you copy and paste a response, at least be so kind enough to make it readable.
