Micro level reset themselves

I searched for this answer but have not found.     Microphone levels to reset all the time, sometimes at very inopportune times.  I tried your fix and it doesn't fix it.  I don't have any installed third-party audio software.  I talked to a number of people and searched online and the consensus seems to be 'oh, it's just a bug with vista  But I use this for work; I really need to work constantly!  Sometimes I'll put back the level (say 35) and come back to should I be recording and find that it is reset to 0 yet once immediately.  It happens all the time.  any ideas?

Hello

1 did you change on your computer before this problem?
2. What is the brand and model of the computer?
I suggest to try the following method and check.
Uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers:
Step 1: download the sound, video and controller driver on the manufacturer's Web site.
Step 2: uninstall the audio drivers, then restart the computer. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.
(a) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
(b) look for sound, video and controller option, expand it.
(c) make a right click on the audio device, click Properties.
(d) click the driver tab, and then select uninstall.
(e) restart the computer
Step 3: install the sound, video and controller driver and checking.

    Hi Steve,.

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with microphone start-up. I will certainly help you fix this problem.

I suggest that you follow the steps in order to test, check the connections and hardware, update the audio drivers and configure the audio settings of Windows.

Step 1: Test of an audio signal

    1. Click on Start, then Control Panel.
    2. Click hardware and soundand then click manage audio devices...
    3. Click the recording tab.
    4. To test the microphone, speak into it. To test the line, send a signal to the line at the port of devices audio source (press play on the audio player). Look at the gray bars next to the name of the device under the recording tab:
      • If the gray bars next to the device name turns green, this device is active and an audio signal is passed through the microphone or line-in port. This step shows that this problem is related to sound parameters in the software that uses the microphone. If you have not already done so, set the device selected by default and adjust levels. Once the device is set by default and levels are defined, use and adjust the sound recording or voice carrying software.
      • If the gray bars remain inactive and grey, the device does not have a signal. Leave the record open tab and go to the next step.

Step 2: Check the volume levels and mute

The volume of the speaker to the microphone and line - in may be activated or rejected. Use the following steps to check the volume of speaker for line and microphone levels.

    1. Click Startand then click Control Panel.
    2. Click hardware and sound.
    3. Click sound.
    4. Select speakersand then click Properties.
    5. Click the levels tab.
    6. Click on any line that is cut and Muted next to Microphone button.
    7. Use the slider to increase the micro level and each line at least 75.
    8. Click OK.

Step 3: Configuring the settings of Windows registry

By default, Windows Vista automatically activates microphones and line-in ports. Use the following steps to set the microphone/line-in port to be the default port and configure the logging levels.

    1. If the recording in the Audio window tab is not selected, open the sound and click therecording tab and make sure the State is defined as below.

1 - port microphone - work and set as default

    2 - line In - work

    3. digital (S/PDIF port) In - work

4 - stereo Mix (mixer software) - disabled

    1. If several microphones or line - in ports are available, select the port you want to use. Clickset as default to make this device default audio input device.
    2. If the device you want to use contains a small circle with an arrow pointing down, the device is disabled. To activate the device, right click on the device name and selectActivate.
    3. With the selected device, click Properties, and then click thelevels tab.
    4. Adjust the slider until 75% of its range.
    5. If the mute is enabled, click the button mute to reactivate the device. The mute button should show as a blue speaker without any red circle.
    6. If the Microphone Boost is available, adjust to dB + 20.0.
    7. Click OK to make the changes.
    8. Test the microphone as was done in step 1 to determine if Windows is able to detect a signal from the microphone or line used. If you have completed all the steps and the microphone or the source device still does not work, the audio ports or the computer's sound hardware can be bad.

  • Captivate Quiz rear function 9 Mac does not

I created a quiz and check the back but when I play a preview of the back button has no effect. The next button is also hesitant, or simply suspended

It's a random quiz with 10 questions pools - this looks ok

I have edited the following buttons and return to accompany the rest of the presentation

users have infinite attempts to pass the test

    "Back" button is desperate :-(

My most visited blog is this one: the Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

It turns out that you're not the only confused by Quizzing functionality. ATTENTION: This was written for versions before 9. 9 there are important changes, one of them being that it is so more confusion between Skip and, secondly, because 9 dedicated buttons during review (Back and Next). I should update a lot of blog posts, but the time is always the problem.

As for your other questions, I have recently set a course with similar requirements. Pass mark was set at 100%!

I took this approach (but that means out of navigation between slides of question and prevent that users can freely navigate the slides in question):

    1. Set the number of attempts on micro level Question
    2. On question slides you keep only the submit button and, possibly, the "Clear" button (only effect before submitting)
    3. Uncheck navigation back in Quiz preferences
    4. Check the option 'hide PlayBar during Quiz' If you use a bar of reading (but I recommend browsing custom, or at least disable the progress bar or use a technique to avoid rubbing this progress bar).

With this configuration, the user must answer each question correctly before being able to advance to the next question.

Quiz level in this case you must only an attempt.

This is not your current configuration, you can specify what is the pass mark? You are aware of the fact that when you offer multiple attempts on Quiz level, this Retake Quiz button on the slide to score will reset all responses, not only the wrong answers? Depending on the number of questions, this can be even more frustrating than having to answer each question correctly.

    This scenario would be:

    • Allow one (or maybe two) attempts at the level of the Question
    • Allow multiple attempts on Quiz level and have the button on the slide to score. You speak review no, but read my blog post about the confusion between the recovery and examination.
    • Set the action to success on Quiz level to go to last slide (not to keep score as last slide slide) where you provide a close button.
    • If you want to give a course button recovery so that button recovery by default (for the quiz), you will need to create a form button, only the custom button allowed on a slide of score (see: buttons on slides of Question/Score of Captivate 6?-Captivate blog )
  • What are the ranks for each zoom control

I want to make sure that websites are accessible to 200%, as required by the WCAG. How much time do I need to repeat the 'increase zoom' to reach 200%? It would also be useful to know what extra step each Ctrl + [+] to get.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Oh, I should mention that you can move the zoom controls in the Panel of the menu on the toolbar for easier reading at-a-glance.

Near the top of the Panel "3-bar" menu, you will see something like:

    - | 100% | +

To move at the end of the toolbar, right-click and choose move from the toolbar.

To move it to another location in the toolbar, use the customization feature. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

However, when you read the percentage on that zoom level reset button in the Center, keep in mind that that is compared to your zoom level base and the history itself.

    Hello Danquinnelly

Please write to the Microsoft Forums.

To help you better, please answer the following questions

After installing Windows 7 my games keep resetting themselves.  Resolution, shortcuts keyboard, video settings etc etc. constantly return to their values by default whenever I open the games.  Sims 3 keeps trying to make me run the tutorial and warcraft wants me to go through the film use agreements, assignment of user name and domain every time I run the program.  The games are compatible, but somehting has clearly wrong. Is there a way I can fix without having to reinstall the games? Be it fixed if I take the time to reinstall?
