micro PlayBook api 2.0 (2.2sdk)

I use this link

I get an undefined error in try/catch for recording.  I'm not too familiar with the operation of the directory of files of the playbook.

When I hit the record button, it calls the following code:

BlackBerry.Media.microphone.record (blackberry.io.dir.appDirs.shared.music.path + "/" + document.getElementById('filename').value (use the data)

(to enter the name of the file), testSuccess, testErreur);

I have to specify the file name extension? i.e. testSound.wav or simply testSound

I also tried to hardcode the name of file as follows:

BlackBerry.Media.microphone.record (blackberry.io.dir.appDirs.shared.music.path + ' / testSound.wav', testSuccess, testErreur);

I've added to my config file:

<>Ermit > access_sharedermit >
<>Ermit > record_audioermit >

even once - I'm not too sure of the io.dir and io.file, but since I work with saving a file in a specified directory I thought they may be necessary.

any help to what I'm doing wrong here would certainly be appreciated.

Thank you!!!

I think this link for the kitchenSink should be stickied up... a lot of new people to webworks search here the most important tools and resources.

Thanks for the help!

    As far as WebWorks goes, we do not have near term plans to create a QR code in real time scanner to PlayBook API.

  • Can I allow each users to test my app on their Simulator on PC?

    My application was approved to BB AppWorld. Can I allow ABC to users to test my application on the Simulator on their PC? Is it safe to let it download my file to my website app bar user? It is forbidden?

    If you need another user review/test your application and you have not used any specific Playbook API, you can download the SWF and files required to Web space and send the link. Even if you have used specific Playbook APIs, you can always add a 'webCompile' flag and set it to true when you compile for the web, then avoid using these APIs under certain conditions.

    For example, the 'stage.nativeWindow.visible = true' parameter is not valid when you run the SWF file in a browser, so I added a condition to make "if (webCompile == false) stage.nativeWindow.visible = true '. So, I can easily build a Playbook and a version of my app's built-in web.

  • Is it possible to call the api native playbook of QT creator?

    Hello

    I'm currently learning the playbook with Qt development.

    For this I use Qt creator to develop the specific application of the user interface.

    I want to know that is it possible to call the api natives of the application that is, I do in QT creator.

    As I want to include a video and audio player in my application.

    It is easier in the native api for use of this feature.

    In QT, I found it in the QT mobility and with phonon, but two of them are not supported on Playbook.

    So please guide me with my problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    bskania.

    Sorry, drop the. at the end: http://qt-project.org/wiki/QNX

    I never used the BB expected build but it's a bit old so it would be logical that you must use Q_OS_QNX vs Q_OS_BLACKBERRY. You can post the results of compilation using Q_OS_QNX?

    'Namespaces test'-> BB ns: [object Object]-> blackberry-media ns: undefined-> error with namespace: TypeError: result of expression 'blackberry.media' [undefined] is not an object.

  • Is there an API for developing WebWorks Playbook file picker?

    I'm looking for a way to ask the user to navigate to a file and then access the file in javascript. I found there is something for BlackBerry smartphone, https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-Community-APIs/tree/master/Smartphone/FilePicker. For the same reasons, I can not use the input type HTML field 'file '.

    Is there an equivalent for Playbook?

    Hi asiayeah,.

    Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be something similar to this extension in space Tablet currently. Seems that you need your own custom control (WebWorks APIs leverage) or extension (to dig down in the AIR or AIR > native) for this right now.

  • WebWorks for Playbook and using photo APIs

    Hello

    The API documentation, I found that the camera what API can be used to call the camera from an application. Thus, it can be used to capture an image that will then save the image in a folder of the playbook? If Yes, how can I know the name of the file that is the last one added to the camera file in the shared location? Please help me with this.

    garciaf wrote:

    Is there a way to get the photo you take with the camera.

    You must use the Phonegap Framework http://www.phonegap.com/

    They provide a specific function that represent you to get the URI of the file or data directly.

    (But if you get the data directly there is a problem of memory)

    Another way is to encode your own API in Java and add in the web works. (If you choose this solution and the success you, I would be very interested in the result)

    Concerning

    Hi garciaf,

    You are right that PhoneGap has this API for smartphones, but they have not yet supported for Tablet OS.  And on Tablet OS, you can't create an extension using Java, because it is not a Java virtual machine.  You must create an extension with ActionScript

    The takePicture() API becomes even closer now to PlayBook and smartphone.  You can see what the API signature will look like in the jsdocs found here:

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/WebWorks-API-docs/BLOB/Delta/API/blackberry_media_camera.js

    It will be the signature of the API used for both BONES of tablet in the 'Delta' version and the Smartphone 'Epsilon' version:

  • Rotation / orientation/tilt of the PlayBook WebWorks API?

    Where can I find the API WebWorks for rotation / orientation/tilt? In other words, how can I detect programmatically the rotation of my Playbook on the three axes? Applications such as "What's up?" clearly use such an API. Thank you.

    So you're looking for the DeviceMotion API for motion capture (x, y, z).

    Here's a demo:

    http://BlackBerry.github.com/WebWorks-samples/kitchenSink/HTML/browser/motion.html

    Otherwise, if you are looking for portrait/landscape orientation, you can use the window.onorientationchange event:

  • BlackBerry PlayBook has the API for the magnetometer support?

    I want to know that is there any support for the magnetometer on BlackBerry PlayBook AIR api API together?

    I want to develop an application that needs a magnetometer support, pls answer me with this ASAP.

    If I had to * guess *, everyone works on Vitosha boulevard, so we * could * get a SDK for AIR update after that and * possibly * some updates to the API and the new features. That * could * happen later this summer/fall.

  • Configuration PlayBook WebWorks API extension support

    Hello

    I would like to know if there is a way to package an extension API with an application. The default extensions are located in the bbwp/ext folder. I have a custom extension that I include in my application. I was able to compile the application with my custom extension copied to this location mentioned. My question is should I add the extension custom in my application package? If so how that happen. All to follow folder structure? Please help me.

    Thank you

    Praveen

    Well it would not be considered "tampering" with the SDK package

    It is in fact our approach for each of these directories with... There is no way to incorporate your extension as a resource in your file to archive WebWorks.

  • HTML5 Micro API NullPointerException Bug.

    From what I can tell, the program for the microphone API example - https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/blackberry.media.microphone.html

    will have always a NullPointerException uncaught on function "RecordPlayer.writeSavedData ()" line: 1197 when you use Blackberry JDE 7.1.0. Still saves the file, it will first the exeption. I tried on an earlier version 6.0.0 and it worked fine. I heard that he even worked on 7.0.0. Does anyone know a solution to this? I think it's a bug, or it may just be a problem with the code example.

    I finally managed to find that it was a section of the code of the function 'stop' in Record.java. I don't know if that would break some functions of the Microphone API, but I just commented on it:

    Stop recording, close the OutputStream and player.
    / * If (_rcontrol! = null) {}
    try {}
    _rcontrol.commit ();
    } catch (IOException e) {}
    MicrophoneNamespace.handleError (_errorCallback, e);
    }
    _rcontrol = null;
    }*/

    I don't know how he was throwing a NullPointerException, but without this article, the code works perfectly fine.
