Microsoft 10 upgrade

I have Windows 7 and just downloaded 10 Microsoft upgrade. Now, I have no anti-virus protection of Microsoft. Someone can it tell me why?

Windows Defender is the default in Windows 8/8.1 and 10 virus protection program, you can't get Microsoft Security Essentials, which only compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7. Windows Defender in Windows 10 is the same as Microsoft Security Essentials, but the difference is that Windows Defender has no settings tab.

Most likely you are using an old version, no updated MSOffice 2011, and he refuses to launch Mac OS x 10.11.x?

The current version of MSOffice 2011 from June 2016 is: MSOffice 2011 version 14.6.5.

To check which version you are already running

Find, but do not start, your request for 'Word' in your Applications folder.

Click on it (don't double-click on it) to select the application, click the key combination:

command - I (⌘ + I), the two keys at the same time, to call the command 'Get Info '.

What version of Word are you running?

IF it is less than the 14.1.0, version then use the direct links below for the official MS site to download the necessary programs:

    Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 SP1 (14.1.0)

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=17198

Once you are sure that you already have at least version installed 14.1.0, apply this next cumulative update

    (later as of June 2016):

Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 14.6.5 updated:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=52948

IF these addresses Microsoft Download Center are blocked to this site or are unreadable, simply use a search on the web for their official names as described above and ONLY get the direct download from official Microsoft Download Center.

A little older version of MSOffice 2011 auto-updater does not work on newer Mac OS, and so you need to download the cumulative updaters required for using the built-in automatic update feature in the future.

You can easily buy an upgrade to Windows 8. For example, the command
    Amazon.com.

    However, note the following:

    1. Although you can use the upgrade version, it is not really a
upgrade; He's going to do a clean install, which means that you will
    reinstall all your programs.

    2. you can use Windows 8 drivers for some of the materials in
your computer and it is likely that its manufacturer is not
them is available for an old man like a Windows XP - era computer.

    3. While your computer can meet the minimum requirements for
Windows XP, it will almost certainly not be Windows 8 with
acceptable performance. You probably need to update several
hardware components and it can cost much more to buy a new
    computer.

  • Differences in versions of Microsoft 7 upgrade?

What is the difference between "microsoft 7 anytime upgrade home premium to professional" and "microsoft windows 7 Professional (upgrade version)"?

Windows 7 Anytime Upgrade (Windows 7 Professional edition) is an affordable way to move from an existing edition of Windows 7 to a higher edition.

It's much less expensive than the Windows 7 Professional (upgrade version).

Windows 7 Professional Upgrade version can upgrade versions of Windows including Windows XP, Vista and some versions of Windows such as Windows 7 Starter, basic and Premium home edition.

You can also use the product key Windows 7 Professional version update with upgrade Express in any of the cited editions of Windows 7.

You can't do this with Anytime Upgrade, you must have the qualifying edition of Windows 7 installed in order to use it. In this case Anytime Upgrade Home Premium to Professional requires that you have Windows 7 Home Premium installed.

Thank you for that. I did some more research on the forums then rebooted my machine. The installation is completed successfully. I think that Microsoft should focus on this. Very confusing tell them that this is a key issue when all that is needed is the machine to be restarted. Thanks for your help anyway. See you soon

  • Why and when Microsoft Will release a file (s) Patch of system upgrade that will allow a 32 Bit OS system to a system of 64-bit operating system?

Why and when will be communicated to Microsoft, an upgrade or a system Patch File/s, allowing a system of 32-bit Windows (such as Windows 7) operating system, upgrade to an OS 64-bit (as Windows 8) system?

As for now, it is NOT possible to upgrade a 32-bit of the windows operating system like Windows 7 or Vista or XP, so that the latest operating system (such as Windows 8), but what I want to do is install (once it is released into the public domain), Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 8.

This situation will be resolved with time, prior before NEXT new operating system release date of microsoft.

    Thank you.

    Chris...

I wouldn't hold my breath.  What you CAN do is to make a new partition and install Windows 8 or another 64-bit of the system on it.  It is not hard to do, and with huge hard drives that have modern computers, there are usually lots of disk space to do so.

NO, you cannot uninstall updates if the operating system has been updated because it would mean that another edition of Windows is now installed.

Yes, I'm on an administrator account and I still have this problem.

    Hello

32-bit to 64-bit is not a supported upgrade path. You must do a clean installation of 64-bit.

In addition, upgrade is not possible from XP to Win7. It will be a custom installation.

As a first step I suggest you back up the data before you do a custom installation. Check the link for more information.
