Microsoft ACPI Control method battery compatible not reinstall.

I had the plugged in, not charging problem on my laptop that runs Windows 7, and in order to solve the problem, I uninstalled Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method. I've done in the past and it worked wonders, but this time it is not automatically reinstall the control method, so I don't have a the battery icon on the status bar. Help, please. :(

I tried out the battery then that he has been arrested, and that no longer works.

Ah understand it. It was reinstalled, but under the name of "Unknown driver", so I simply uninstalled, rebooted, and it works like a charm!

    Dear Sir

I'm having a strange problem. My laptop (HP DM3) shows "plugged in, not charging". I searched on the net and according to some expert instruction, I took out the battery, plugged, booted my laptop computer and since the Device Manager I uninstalled Microsoft ACPI compliant method control pile driver, then off, UN-pluged, inserted my battery, and then restarted again. My battery has shown that charge but after awhile it automatically installed stack method compatible ACPI Microsoft and my problem was back. Please give me a solution for this problem. I'm having extreme difficulties for her. Your kind response to the question mentioned will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Mohapurush,

Compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery component supports the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) control method battery, include an interface to control method of code ACPI Machine Language (AML) between the battery and the host computer.

You can use any type of communication interface supported by ACPI and any type of battery because the battery interface is fully accessible by the AML code control methods.

Battery monitoring and management are available only on compatible computers ACPI and APM-enabled. Windows can handle the batteries that have a smart battery subsystem interface or interface of battery method of control on ACPI computers. Windows can also monitor several batteries.

I recommend you contact the manufacturers of the system and check the settings on your computer.

  • Method for controlling battery Microsoft acpi disables my battery on update.

    Hello

I work with a Lenovo Y530 computer laptop (ab00216104). After a few years, the battery ceased to maintain a charge so I ordered a new third party like Lenovo temporarily stopped selling them. The new battery worked fine at first but, after a few minutes I get the message "battery plugged in, does not support" of the battery lower-left icon. It just stops charging the battery, but it will take place off the coast of the battery until it is unloaded. At first, I thought it was a bad battery however by many trial and error, I discovered the battery works fine. Let me explain.

If I uninstall "control method battery compatible acpi Microsoft" in the Device Manager and reboot my computer with my card wireless off then the battery will work perfectly. It is not up to what I connect to the internet that it suddenly stops to load again. It is in the case once my computer is able to access to the internet and update of "control method battery compatible acpi Microsoft" that the problem occurs.

As much, as I know there is no way to prevent it from updating once he establishes a connection and no way for "rolling back drivers" as long as this option is grayed out. I would be very happy any advice on this situation, thank you.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft community. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing. I want to ask you the following questions.

    1. What is the brand and model of your system?

    2. When was the last time it was working fine?

This occurs generally when either the battery is bad or when there is a conflict with the ACPI driver. Try the following methods and check if you're able to reinstall the ACPI drivers.

    1. click on start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager.

    2 expand the batteries category.

    3. under the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose uninstall.

WARNING:  Do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible driver ACPI.

    4. on the Device Manager Taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes.

You can also select Action > search the hardware changes.

Windows will scan your computer for hardware which has not installed the drivers and will install the necessary drivers to manage the battery power. The computer should now indicate that the battery is charging.

In addition, I also suggest you to update the system BIOS. You can do this, either by contacting the material supports for your computer or by downloading and installing your own from the manufacturers of the Web site.

Warning in the BIOS: Change BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope this information was useful. Return with the required information, so that we can research more on the issue and help you solve.

    Thank you

  • MICROSOFT SAYS MY SYSTEM IS COMPATIBLE BY FAR, BUT FOR SOME REASON, THIS MODEL OF DELL DOES NOT ACCEPT IT.

HELLO, I TRIED TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10 MONTHS NOW. MICROSOFT SAYS MY SYSTEM IS COMPATIBLE BY FAR, BUT FOR SOME REASON, THIS MODEL OF DELL DOES NOT ACCEPT IT. I HAVE A DELL STUDIO 540, X 64 BASED PC. PLEASE HELP, I REALLY WANT TO TRY WINDOWS 10.

    Original title: WIDOWS 10 UPDATE

If Dell has said that it is not compatible, I wouldn't do it.  Dell needs to have the drivers and software for it or it is not working properly.  I would make sure you call, email or web-chat with Dell and ask them first.

If you really want to try anyway (at your own risk), you can, but I suggest that do you a full picture of backup of your computer in order to "undo" that and go back to the way you are today if something is wrong or you don't like it.

  • Battery is not charging

My laptop will not charge even though it shows that it is connected to the AC and my battery is fast running down. connections are oks. Any solution?

    Hello

    It may be worth trying.

First, stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter unplugged, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the power adapter and start the PC without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the Batteries, do a right-click on the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the PC again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the PC to see if the battery now charging correctly.

  • Pavilion DV4T-1400 battery does not charge

I was getting the flashing battery light on the battery then buying a new.  That solved the problem for about a week and now he's back.  I've updated the BIOS, tried to close, pulling on the battery, now the power button then reinstall and restart, but nothing changes.  I blew the dust just in case it was due to overheating.  Still no change.

Is there another way to solve this problem?  I usually keep the laptop plugged in anyway so I'll just continue to do unless there is no other solution unless this means that HP is on its way.

    Hello

First, stop the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then press and hold the power button for a minute.

Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the Batteries, click right on and the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the PC, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the PC on just the battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the PC again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

I wait to hear from you.
