I was wondering is why when Microsoft is supposed to be protection against viruses can someone tell me why?

Anti-virus and other things depend mainly on /definitions signatures and some are intended to detect low percentages heuristic/behavioral...

Out the new viruses and threats from time to time and as soon as lab found malware sample, they will update the signature and send client PC with their antivirus solutions...
Is there, it is highly recommended to increase the frequency of update of signature threat of an antivirus solution...  Without new definitions, there cannot detect threats...

same thing for Microsoft products...  If there is no update done signature, your pc is open to malware and threats, without worrying that the producer antivirus is microsoft

Microsoft has none of the unsolicited telephone calls to help you fix your computer

In this type of scam cybercriminals are calling you and claim to be of Support technique Microsoft. They offer help with your computer problems. Once scammers have earned your trust, they try to steal and damage your computer with malicious software, including viruses and spyware.

Although the law enforcement can trace phone numbers, often authors use pay telephones, disposable cell phones or stolen cellular phone numbers. Better avoid fooling themselves rather than try to repair the damage afterwards.

So, my computer has a virus moneypak and ontop of the said virus pro safety. And I can't download any anti-virus scan malware to get rid of them due to my failure of security scanning. So I went to check on my Microsoft Security databases to see what is happening, and it will not even open! • I put my setting to alert me when page wants to redirect and I also checked for a "redirection virus" (doen't find one) and I STILL get redirects

I bought a laptop computer used in a computer repair store pretty good reputation (a very high ratings online) and this computer is a Windows operating system 7/8.

I immediately noticed that I had a problem of redirection. It took me some time to try to solve this problem (other than my anti-malware software) and recently I discovered how to go into my settings and set up the "warn before redirection. It works in some cases, but I'm always redirected in MANY occasions, but not always on the same pages/sites.

I checked all my modules and do not know which could be bad. I have Adobe modules but I always downloadthose and update those directly from the Adobe House.

Does anyone have any OTHER suggestions to stop those annoying redirects?

    jscher2000,

Windows Defender went to work one day this last week and found a Trojan that my anti virus and malware did not pick up. I had not had the time to do what you suggested, yet (as I am a truck driver and do not have a lot of time online) and I was pleasantly surprised when the windows Defender picked it up. I have more problems with the redirection.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Hi Matt,
Some infections of virus/malware will hide all files and shortcuts on your computer. To make your files visible again, download display on your desktop.

Once downloaded, double-click display and let it run. It removes the attribute hidden on all files and attempt to restore items in quick launch and Start Menu to their location.
If you think that your computer is still infected, try following the steps in this virus/malware removal guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide
It contains instructions which will remove most malware infections. If you have any questions, just ask me. I hope this helps you.

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all shops are skilled at removing malware, and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will have to be properly installed. If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

  • After the factory restore via itunes on pc on my ipod classic he said plug on sector finally now all I get is a picture of a charger and taken, it won't even load

After restoring my ipod classic 4th generation 40 GB to factory settings via itunes on my pc the message plug to the charger to complete came I did it, but all I get is a picture of a charger and power socket, but it will not charge or do anything else

The 4th generation iPod requires the connection to the USB adapter that comes with it to complete the restore process.  Another adapter Apple, like the one that comes with the iPhone or iPad, should also work.  Non-Apple power adapters may work fine for regular charging of the battery of the iPod, but often do not work for this particular use.  If you have a Mac with a FireWire port, and you have a FireWire cable, you can also get past this step by connecting the iPod to a FireWire port.  It is a peculiarity of design iPod 4th gen.

  • MotoCare and Motorola customer support is a joke

I bought MotoCare ($85) and needed to use it to get a replacement after water damage on my phone Moto X 2 ($800). After sending my phone ($50) and said I would get a replacement in 4 days... I wait 3 weeks and hear nothing.

I contact the customer support, only to be told that my order was "cancelled". Without more explanation. I can't get a new phone (which I already paid for), I can't get a refund, and I can't even my broken phone back.

I googled around and found countless stories similar to mine. What the fuck fucks, Motorola.

UO has four types of training: classroom, virtual Live, training on demand and self study.  The first three are all variations on the same thing: a human being a conference accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation.  The only difference is the specific method of delivery.  I took a dozen or more courses in the classroom, when I worked for Oracle, but none of the other three.  I don't know that they still existed at the time.

Self-study courses are completely different.  They are not recorded training sessions (or they would cost the same as TOD). They seem to be created by Skillsoft computer-assisted training courses. There are some demos available on the OU Web site. Go to the following URL and click on the tab "Demos'", just above the section asking you to select a product area:
