  Google pays Mozilla to be the default search engine, but you can choose another. The method to change it depending on how search you:

  (1) search bar/search box: simply choose a different engine from the drop-down list. It also regulates research in the context menu for the selected text in the page.

  (2) bar bar/URL address: you must manually change a setting (keyword. (URL), and that, to the URL to submit your request (exampleStartpage.com : bad search engine opens unless I have use alt - tab).

  This affects pretty much just Android users default browser on older versions of Android, Safari users and browsers old and obsolete. Users using Firefox 36 as safe from this attack (at least insofar as it is currently understood)

  The key belongs to the image of Toshiba that I n t think that it will work to activate the system installed using MS Win 7 disc
  However, you can download Windows 7 image of page Microsoft (google for it)
  Then you can burn the image to disk using Nero or other burning application supporting iso burning and could use this disc to install Windows 7

• Why I can't make backups of my Vista Windows Mail email files?

  During the 3 years, when do backups, I just copied my "documents" folder in which I put my Windows Mail email folder. Never had a problem. The files I copied successfully in my backups in September that all show an attribute "read only".

I ran into conflicts between IE and Chrome, especially when you try to print the email and web pages through our wifi HP network printer. Now my wife can not print at all.   For the printer part, WinMail uses the print engine that it is uses, adjust if margins and other in Internet Explorer to print in WinMail.

  But the inability to copy the files suggest hard disk problems.  Try opening Windows Explorer, right click on the C drive and go to properties. Tools | Check out now and see if it finds problems.  You can also use the attempt to Windows Explorer to access the folders and messages to make sure there is no problem with access (try to copy directories message individually and perhaps you can distinguish a problem).  You can also try compacting and repairing the database of WinMail to ensure that it is not the question, but I doubt that this would be the case.

• Cannot access the calendar from Windows Vista Home Premium all of a sudden... get error message indicating it is disabled... Help, please!

  After 1 year with the help of Windows Calendar on Vista Home Premium, I'm suddenly not able to use it (impossible to add new appointments and stored all appointments have mysteriously disappeared). I get a message saying "You cannot add appointments to a calendar that is disabled" the details of State "access denied." ... How is - it happened 'out of nowhere '? How to activate it? It's very frustrating... I searched the forums and Microsoft google the question. I found some results suggesting to either change the registry or download the fix automatically and manually merge in my registry. I tried both with no result. I have event tried to remove the old calendar and create a new one... still nothing. Any suggestions? Help, please!

  Sorry, you have a problem with that.  What type of entry you are trying to add?

  Look at the calendar and on the left side, to half way down you will see a small block that will have something like "NYintelligentivnestor schedule" - there is a small block to the left of this one. To activate the calendar, click on the box to place a check mark in it.

  If there are calendar shown in this block, then go to "file" on the main toolbar and click on "new calendar" - one should then appears in a block with a check mark in the box on the left.

• icons not appearing is not on start

  I have a dv6000 that works pretty well, but recently some of the icons in the bottom right of the screen were not present. Sometimes when I restart the computer they all appear and sometimes some don't. The icons that do not appear most of the time are the icon and sound icon which shows the wireless internet. What is the cause?

• I get a request to (maybe) MS to find out where to send a security code on my hotmail account. The choices are my phone (not smartphone) or comcast email. Is - is this legitimate?

  I get a message that looks like it's from Microsoft on my Hotmail account. I am connected, but I can't yet see one of my mail until I answer the email from MS asking where to send a security code (if I need one).

  It's really true.  This security feature is that many companies use now, including Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Twitter and many banks.

  Basically, it protects you by making sure no one can access your account unless they have two things:

  1. Something you know (your password)

     and

  2. Something you have (your phone or to another e-mail account)

  Even if someone were able to guess or steal your password, they couldn't always access your account.

• Why the App folder Data has it 97GB?

  My brand new computer (running Windows 7 Professional) shows that I've used 272 GB.  My user name is 192 GB.  My music takes over 95GB, but I didn't know what else could be chewing a lot of space.  When I got to the folders within my user name, I see an App Data folder that says he has 97 GB. Are there really 97GB, or is it pretty much a mirror of my music and other files that I have?  If not, where are the 95 GB which I can't explain?  I have looked in all other folders under my user name, but see no other who have same 1 GB in them.  I guess it must be a duplication of my music somewhere, but I can't.  I would really like that disk space.

  Yes, I had.  It is filled with folders of files for Microsoft, Google, HP and others.  I put the cursor on each one and do not see anything with any size or related to music.  I'm pretty good at working with the software, but when it comes to technical issues like that, I'm lost.  Any suggestions on what to look for?

  The Appdata folder should have three subfolders. Local, weak and roaming.
  One of those MUST have a huge amount of data.

  I would try regedit.exe then in Safe Mode.

• How can I fix Acrobat Adobe Reader DC screen resolution? It is difficult to read.

  We installed the latest Adobe Reader, but it don't did not warn us that the provision was brand-new and the resolution of the screen is different.  Are there settings that allow us to travel back in time?  This more as a Microsoft/Google to date than what we expect from Adobe.
