Microsoft Safety Scanner crashes when you perform a full crawl

Separated from the:

I have the same question.  I'm running the scan and it freezes after about three hours, after analyzing more than 650,000 files.   It freezes at the same spot everytime I try: IEXPLORER. EXE

Stupidity on this subject, is that I do work only this on the advice of Microsoft safety scanner to try to solve ANOTHER problem;

My Microsoft Security Essentials is unable to run a full scan and it freezes at the same spot every time:

WINDOWS/System32/Com/mtsadmin.tlb

Hi niallmcardle,

·         Have you installed a third-party security software?

I suggest you to put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is any software conflict as clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts and start scanning.

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting steps, follow step 7 in the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  • Microsoft Office regularly crashes when you perform a save as on a network location mapped

Microsoft Office regularly crashes when you perform a save as to any place of the network off the internal hard drives on my laptop. The version is 14.0.6112.5000 (64-bit).

The question seems to relate to a problem with the Windows Explorer, I find that if I first open the folder by browing through Windows Explorer crash is much less likely to occur. It is not always, but usually after the 4th or 5th attempt I can save the document. Once I made the first save as a new document, I didn't backup after problems.

This happens only with the Office suite of products - I have no similar problems with third-party programs.

What is happening is the Save dialog box under opens, but when I try to navigate through the program crashes. I can usually (but not 100% of the time) scroll to reach readers intgernal, but almost always crashes when you try to reach the network mapped drives unless I have already sailed on these places by car outside the word.

It is a relatively new problem. I did a clean install of Windows 7 (x 64) on my laptop in November 2011, everything was fine until April. My thought is that a .dll file is corrupt, or there could be a problem of accidentally unplugging a smartphone or Tablet without ejecting it first.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated, I really don't want to go through the hassle to do a clean install and then restore all my programs again.

    Thank you!

    Julie

I think that the first thing would be to try a repair.
Start > Control Panel > programs and features > click on your Office installation > click Change > repair

  • Lightroom 3.2 crashes when you perform a filter text library on all photographs

I have LR 3.2 running on Windows XP on an Intel Core 2 E8500 with 4 GB of ram.  I run a catalog that contains a little more 51 000 photos (especially RAW images).  Whenever I select all THE PHOTOS (in my menu catalog drop down to the left), go to the library filter, choose TEXT and type a keyword to search to refine my pictures down, LR spontaneously blocks... everything I get a message Microsoft asks me if I want to send a report to Microsoft and when I click on 'no '. LR just closes.  Sometimes, when I re - open LR and perform the same task immediately, all right.  But lately, he arrives again and again even after I restarted LR again and again.  It is simply unacceptable that I constantly need to search my entire catalog to find pictures with keywords depending on the project, I'm working on that.  My catalog is too large?  Finally, I optimized my catalog on 08/10/2010.  This seems like a bug to me.

Sorry if this is a problem already discussed... I ran a search and did not find discussions about this.

  • When you perform a full backup in Windows 7, is also trying to save the destination drive

Hello when I do a backup on my computer he wants to save the destination for my backup disk. I use the Windows 7 professional 64-bit operating system. I know that he cannot back up the drive on which the backup happens. How can I prevent that from happening.

    Hi FrancisEarley

Yes, the backup can not be performed if the destination drive is selected in the backup list, if it is selected, then be sure to uncheck this drive and then proceed to the backup or if you want to include this backup disk, and then you must select a different destination location.

For example, you can't back up the contents of drive E: to drive E:

You can follow the steps of manual backup and verification-

    (a) open Backup and Restore.
(b), select 'Configuration Backup' or 'back up now '.
    (c) and then in the list to save drivers deselect the destination drive, if it is present in the backup list and move forward with new steps to perform the backup.

Refer to the below help links -.

Opening was always very well, but when I did something on this subject, it crashed. Also my PC then stops in the hibernation mode. I can access internet, but nothing else. Said Microsoft security scanner that trojanclicker:Win32 / Yabector.a partially removed.  How to completely remove the thing.  Must be simple enough for me to be able to manage it.  Help!

    Hello

You do not specify your version of Windows. This troubleshooting should work with Windows 7
    Vista or XP.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com. If she finds something or not does not mean that you should not
check with the other methods below.

  • Window and the mouse crashes when you try to close the windows

Original title: window crashes when you click on the red X

I use Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit platform).  Just recently, when I right click on the red X in the upper right to close a window, the window and the cursor freezing for about fifteen seconds.  The window then closes, and the slider works normally.

This happens to my office, although my laptop (same operating system Vista, except for the 32-bit version) works normally.  I use CCleaner on a regular basis, and I have the latest version of AVG anti-virus and Microsoft Security Essentials installed.  This Setup has worked well for over a year.  This problem appeared only in the last 24 hours.

Hello, Mr. the President Y. K..

First, as soon as the computer and then restarting it later in the day, the question has not repeated itself.  I had read on Google that people with this problem a couple of years, were not so lucky.

I have not addded any software, except to perform Windows updates usual a week ago.  The suddenness of the appearance of my problem led me to believe that these patches were probably not at fault.  When I went to log on to this second time, I had planned to restore the system to a previous backup to see if that gave me work around the problem.  However, it was not necessary.

No error message appears when the problem occurred, and the problem was if I was in the office or on the Internet.  Nevertheless, I intend to register your comments useful diagnosis for later use, and for your efforts, thank you very much!

    Kind regards

Honestly, this is not the appropriate forum to deal with malware as serious as Alureon and its variants. I would recommend that you post your question in the support section of the malware from the forum on the link below. Alueron is a rootkit malware and should be treated using the interactive help trained. The forum is completely free, although you must register to post. Backup Windows XP does not seem to be clear the attribute archive when you perform a normal backup.

I do a backup of the 'Normal' at the beginning of the month.  Then, at the end of the first week, I do a "Differential" backup (using the same "backup job" but change to type "Incremental".)

Well the difference is huge and to study, I see that a lot of files that I don't know that I didn't take the week since the 'Normal' backup have the Archive attribute set.

Is the 'Normal' compensation not the bit mode backup of archive?  Another thing would be randomly set the attributes to archive?  Is there a ghost in the machine?  Inquiring minds want to know.

    Hello

Differential backup marks files as having been backed up (in other words, archive attribute is not cleared). This is normal.
