Microsoft update problem

When you try to use windows update, I get the following message is displayed:

"Files required to use Windows Update are longer registered or installed on your computer. "Continue: register or reinstall the files for me now (recommended): Let me read on other measures that may be required to solve the problem.

When I click on the 'register or reinstall the files for me now' button I get the following message: 403 - Forbidden: access is denied. You don't have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.

I used the site several times before and have never had this problem.

I suggest that you first clean boot system configuration:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Do step 1: perform a clean boot

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Use the guided help or method 2: manually from XP with a clean boot

IF a 3rd party firewall is used, make sure that the native Windows Firewall is now on.
(Control Panel > Windows Firewall)

Download now and Save the Fixit on this page: How to reset the Windows Update components
Once the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers.
Now run the Fixit while the system is connected to the internet.
Select aggressive mode .
Reboot system when the Fixit is finished running.

Cancel the Clean boot steps you have done previously and then restart once more.
IF a 3rd party firewall is installed, make sure it is on now.

  • Microsoft Update freeze my computer

    OK, let's go...

On December 8th or 9th there was an update from windows that I had installed and went to bed. The next day, when from my computer all loaded to the top and 2 seconds later everything I can do was move my mouse. I can't click on anything. I know that I didn't before this was a windows update. nothing else in the month has been downloaded or installed on my PC.

I rebooted and still the same. So I decided to do a system restore. I force rebooted my computer in safe mode and if the system restores. Everything worked well. I had used the computer for a few hours without problems. "until I noticed that windows update has appeared on my restart button. so I said to myself. Let me restart and see if everything is ok. I restarted my computer and loading upward, I had the same problem. 2 seconds frozen after all except my mouse pointer and a small circle rolling around 'work' and all I can think about was call DELL since last year, I bought my computer. I called them and they had me to do a full restore. (who's always there answering a problem) I did it because I didn't have a lot on my pc anyway. Everything was back to normal. I loaded up and everything was fine, I had to install the updates again and always work. but the second set of 2 or 3 update is where I ran into the problem again. FROZEN SCREEN! other than my mouse. so. now, I did a restore of the system again and that they made the great list of updates but I have disabled the future updates. I won't install because I know what will happen. can someone please help me with this because dell says it's a Microsoft update problem that is making my computer. Help, please! I will now list which computer I use. I hope someone can get back to me on this problem.

    Thank you for the update.

    Try this:

Optimize Windows 7 for better performance.

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Problems of trying to pass Windows Update, Microsoft Update

I have a pretty annoying problem. Usually, when you go to Windows Update, you can turn on updates for other Microsoft programs. You click on the little link on the right side of the screen, which opens a new window. You click on the 'OK' button, go to 'Continue', and then it loads a new page where an ActiveX message appears at the top of the screen. Usually, you can just click on it and choose to install the program. But this is where my problem begins.

As soon as the new page opens, it freezes. Sometimes it will work long enough for me to Start to see the Active-X popup, but will freeze instantly. Wait a few minutes, and the page becomes a 'Web page' error saying that IE closed the page to protect my computer, because apparently a "defective or malicious add-on" caused problems. I've never had this problem before. I tried to get this to work for more than a week now. I thought I found a way around it, because when I installed Silverlight today, he let me use Microsoft Updates. But now, when I go on my page of regular updates to my list of all the programs, it has the same spirit of problems control Active-X gel page.

Does anyone know what I can do? At the moment, I have no way to get the manual updates because of this problem.

Despite the presence of Avast, that at least "feels" a hijackware infection symptoms. YMMV.

  • Poor performance of Firefox after you apply the latest Microsoft Updates (Win 7 x 64); all solutions?

Recently, I updated to Firefox 27 and noticed really horrible performance (Manager tasks indicates FF connecting a carrot, frequent "Firefox is not responding messages", even strikes in late development in the URL bar). It's on an Ideapad s205 (AMD E450 APU, Win 7 x 64, 8 GB RAM, SSD) who has always had pretty decent web browsing performance for a low end machine.

At first, I blamed FF because poor performance coincided with the update to version 27, but now I think that the first cause to be a recent Microsoft Update. The reason is that my wife has a laptop with a same low-end APU (APU C60, hard drive 5400 RPM, 4 GB of RAM, Win 7 x 64), and she was getting much better performance with FF27 until I applied a backlog of some 90 + updates. Now she suffers from the same poor performance I am and she is pretty p * ssed at home.

Interestingly, I have two WIn 7 x 64 Intel computers to office who have 27 FF and are fully patched, and performance are very good. Maybe this problem is specific to AMD APU.

Any thoughts? I tried to turn off the backend Azure with some comments in this forum, but makes little or no difference.

    Thank you!

Success! 32 FF seems to have solved my problems of performance. Thank you!

  • Cannot ping local interface after last criticism of microsoft update

    I just bought a Satellite Pro A200.
When I upgraded to the latest critical updates from Microsoft Update, I found that I could ping is no longer my local IP address. This has happened to the card NETWORK LAN RJ45 and the wireless network card.
I reinstalled the operating system using the recovery CD, and I could ping to the IP address of the local interfaces.
But when I again once downloaded and installed the latest critical updates from Microsoft, I can't ping the local IP address.
    Anyone has any idea why?
    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

WHERE´s the problem? I know that the updates are the system destroy it when they are buggy, but that's normal with microsoft. I have almost the same problems also! Thhoughts WGAnotify.exe, I was a software pirate and restricted my access to 'zero' access.
"Yes, Sir, I bought a windows and it s stolen... well... OK... :(."
Yes, noone except microsoft (who would be the point where I could say "you are in the wrong forum" ;)) knows why it s happening.)
These days, you should do the following: find update is the cause of this error. You can do this by going in "Add / Remove Programs" in your "Control Panel" and click on the top of the window the button "see the updates.
Then begin to uninstall the last installed update and check if your ping works. Otherwise, proceed to the next update and uninstall it and so on...
I know it's a long and boring process, but since there is NO problem of toshiba, you must accept it and try my method to remove the update that is causing your error.

    Hello
To be honest I m not very well why the autopilot GPU update could not complete successfully, but I guess that the update is not out for the AMD Radeon HD7610M, which is built into the laptop.

I also read a discussion on this issue in the Microsoft forum, and it seems that there are other people having exactly the same problem with this update.

I guess my question is what I have to do a restore of the system under windows 7, before I can upgrade to windows 10? Or y at - it another way?

    Hello glockrow ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about windows update problems and wanted to help.

I would that be able to say that updating to Win10 was an exact science where we know exactly how he does it, and what it should - but the flooding of this and other instances of Win10 problem after that problem indicates that, at best, we are all guessing.

So, I think, from what I've read and done on my PC, is that you SHOULD be able to avoid the problem of missing updates by updating using Win10 created using this MS link media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

After you create the DVD or USB, NOT boot from it. Instead, insert it into your PC and, if it does not auto-start, right click on the file setup.exe and run it.

HOWEVER - and this is important - PC Win7 have a rate low success updated Win10 without problem - primariluy lack of OEM Win10 drivers.  Typical problems include display artifacts (to cause to be obliged to use the driver for the card of Microsoft Basic), not wireless and touchpad problems.  The drivers Microsoft provides have only the most basic features, with none of the extras that the HP drivers bring to the stage.

It is further complicated by the function Win10 GoBack, whereby you can return to your original operating system, being known to be unreliable. So when your upgrade machine malfunctioning, only then you discover that you cannot return the machine to work, that you had originally!

You can protect yourself against ending up with a damaged machine - seriously considering using a free third-party product that works for airport Imaging/restoration - Macrium Reflect.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

So now you can recharge before with the upgrade, knowing that whatever happens, you will be able to return to your currently works in a few minutes.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.
