Mid-2007 Mac Mini Dell UltraSharp U3415W?

I have an old Mac Mini that I was unable to connect to my new monitor.   I am able to display the mini to my TV (using the old VGA adapter supplied in the box with the Mini connected to a VGA input on the television).  I also tested the Mini on a VGA monitor (at the Apple store genius bar) and it worked.

However, it doesn't give me video when I connect it to my Dell monitor with a mini Display Port DVI cable.  See below for the plug.  What is the cable?  The Mini?  Ideas?

  • Mid 2011 Mac Mini running slow/a lot of balloons of beach/HDD to research and writing

I have a Mid 2011 Mac Mini, which runs slower than a snail's pace.  I frequently get beach balls as I type this message.  Startup time is very long, and the hard drive is often written / search/access for several minutes at random throughout the day.

This seemed to start after I have updated to El Capitan 10.11.6.  I decided a few weeks to reinstall OS X without doing a thorough cleaning.  It did not help the situation, so I then proceeded to install the latest beta of Mac OS 10.12 to see if that helped.  Nope.  I don't think I have a bad hard drive, either.

I have just run an EtreCheck and copied below.  Any ideas?  I don't want to run my computer at the Apple store.  Thank you!

  • Above 50 ft HDMI cable will work a Mid-2011 Mac Mini?

I want to run a cable HDMI 50 feet from the station to my mid-2011 Mac Mini computer to my TV. I want to use a 50 ft HDMI cable. Using a long cable more work or break my Mac Mini?

In addition, due to the configuration of my TV, I have two HDMI ports. They are tied up with other devices. Connection to a HDMI cable from 50 feet to a dispatcher (on television) will add any stress to my Mac Mini (mid-2011)?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Google search shows like this

    http://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/how-long-can-HDMI-run.htm

Than 50 feet is maximum for an HDMI cable, but that applies to 720 p. Sometimes 1080 p and sometimes not.

However, I am concerned about the "splitter" you mention. Will probably further reduce the maximum length 50 feet unless it has its own amplifier.

  • Mac Mini (mid-2010) fan running full speed

I went on the hard drive of a few years for one SSD OEM and the fan runs all the time.  In my view, there is a connector on the card, which has no connection with it.

I read that this occurs when the thermal sensor is not placed on the new hard drive.

How many connection should be here soon out of the drive to connect to the map?

    How can I fix?

    TIA

The original HD had a sensor taped to the road with adhesive tape double faces. You had to move the sensor to the new drive. Without the detector, the fan runs at full speed.

  • help understand my next mac mini... from 2004 model!

I really admire the mac mini, I bought in 2004 and it works oddly, except for the internet.

I would like to 'upgrade' or buy one with a more recent CPU/microprocessor. What should I buy? I've heard via internet models end 2012.

I find it useful to have a disk drive so I can burn CDs, although I suppose that there is a way to connect the old mac mini to the new and so use the old one as a storage unit with a usable CD player.

The software I have on the old one is perfectly fine, so I would be able to run such things if I can.

Pointers would be really useful. Particularly on what stage model, what should I look for, or what you think, this is the kind of considerations, I need to assess. (I mean, mega - storage is not a big concern of mine: I does not store the art/film/music to any large degree.). I think it would be interesting to use Bluetooth for listening to music via Bluetooth speakers (which are good quality inexpensive Bluetooth speakers?)

Just Mac Mini have you? One was introduced in 2005. The 2005 those equipped with a Power PC processor and can go as high as OSX 10.5.8.

The 2006 and later have Intel processors.

First applications have been written for Power PC processors and will be running on an Intel processor only if Rosetta is used. Snow Leopard was the latest OSX to incorporate Rosetta. A Mac cannot run an OSX version earlier that OSX initially provided with the Mac as a previous version do not have drivers for the hardware.

The mid level Mac Mini is a good Mac and comes with 68 GB of memory. I wouldn't buy a Mac with less than 8 GB of memory.

To share with the other Mac, you can use the sharing of files and sharing of CD disc. Those who work on a network.

You can also start your old Min I in target disk Mode and connect the two via FireWire (for a Mini more recent yo need a bolt of lightning > FW adopter and a FW800 > FW400 adopting as the old Mini FW 400)

  • Mac Mini with os x Lion, said El Capitan partition Boot Camp Windows 7 has lost

I have a Mid 2011 Mac Mini with os x Lion as my main OS.  I had installed Windows 7 to be started using Boot Camp.  Everything worked perfectly until I added El Capitan under a new partition.   Now, as soon as the boot, there is no option of Boot Camp; There are only Lion and El Capitan options to begin.  However, BOOTCAMP and Win7 files/folders appear in the Finder.

    Hello

In order to not bore you with the "technical gibberish:

The low-end and mid-range Mac mini will run fine on the graphic side, if not the best, because Mac is not considered for game machines.

Indeed, your best bet is to go for the mid-range Mac Mini for all other requirements, If you are ok to wait the usual queue of the application time load. If you want much faster load times, you should (if your budget allows) will in addition to the fusion drive option, because it will increase the overall longevity of your machine in terms of speed.

Unfortunately, Dell does not validate the test / this model of monitor on Apple, ports and software hardware. For this reason, Dell has no troubleshooting steps a lot to offer. • Adobe Design Mac Mini mid-2007 CC

Hi, I think of buying a Mac Mini mid-2007 of opportunity (A1176 ver 2.1) with Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2000 Mhz, 2 GB ram, Os X 10.7 for enter the world Mac ;-)

I would like to know if I'll be able to run the Adobe's XD, because until now it's still not clear to me if it's a program that I need to install or web application (for example Adobe Story)

Hardware and software required for installation using the Adobe experience design and running.  -J' found the requirements here, but if it's a web application, there was basically no matter which machine I am runing, isn't it?

I'd appreciate your comments to clear the situation.

    Best regards

    Hey, thonyk3429212 -.

Major issues and I am glad that you asked before that you bought! The answer to your question is: no, this isn't quite right.

Adobe XD has two components to it (so far): a design area native desktop and a web service to share prototypes of sharing. Browsers you see listed in the lower part are for shared prototypes, and the section on top is for the design of office surface. As you can see, the capital requirements are a minimum of 10,10 (Yosemite) with 4 GB of RAM. Therefore, the system you're considering would not enough to run XD.

    Hope that helps!
