MIDP screen orientation setAcceptableDirections

I get on a compilation error when you try to use setAcceptableDirections

I take it, the view classes are face... so I ask the question:

How to use setAcceptableDirections(); while I can lock the screen in portrait mode?

and even more, what is the integer value by default I can put in their portrait do?

any help regaurding this issue would be great!

I am porting my Midlet above for the storm, and so far I have had no problem to implement the rest of the API

For example Keylistener etc...

So let me know how I can block just as the mode screen portrait, and really, I can't share just on the Web

like when I do this, he throws a lot of mistakes, I'm not in the mood to watch.

The following link has the code example on the restriction of the orientation.

    The ability to rotate the screen image is a feature of your video card, to help work with instructors who rotate the portrait orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
    an arrow key.
    Rotate using these keys.

  • To adapt to the screen orientation by using javascript (for playbook)

    Hi all

    I know that the subject of the screen orientation has been crossed many times already, but I've searched and searched in the webworks put on an answer and can't find it.

    My application is made for the landscape. I have 2 options. ((1) lock app in landscape which I think still can be done using webworks (but please correct me if I'm worng) or 2) to scale the app for the portrait.

    Because to my knowledge 1) cannot be done, I'll focus on 2). Has anyone seen or written a javascript/css script that checks if the user holds the tablet in landscape or portrait and adapt to the 2 on-the-fly switching of b/w? My app is made for 1024 x 600. I know it can evolve using CSS 0.6 starting to adapt to the screen, but I don't know how to check and then re - evolve afterwards with javascript.

    Any help, please and thank you.

    In fact, you can lock in landscape orientation with

    your config.Xml file. Just remove the space after "rim:" because I added it to prevent the Bulletin Board to return as , haha.

  • Image of the scale when screen orientation change

    I'm putting an image when screen orientation change, I put the logic based on sublayout. However, it is called no effect. It works fine the first time. Then, when I incline simulator, not touch.

    BitmapField private;

    protected void sublayout (int maxWidth, maxHeight int ) {}

    Super.sublayout (maxWidth, maxHeight);

                 if (width == Display.getWidth ())

    {

                    return;

    }

    on the other

    {

    width = Display.getWidth ();

    ctrHeadImg = ctrHeadImg.scaleImage32 (scaleXFixed32, scaleYFixed32);

    a = new BitmapField();

    a.setBitmap (ctrHeadImg.getBitmap ());

    loaded;

    layoutChild (, a.getBitmapWidth (), a.getBitmapHeight ());

    setPositionChild (, bitmap1.getLeft () + bitmap1.getBitmapWidth (), 0);

    ...................................

    setExtent (w, h);

    Can you elaborate on what you see?  What does not work?  Is called the scaleImage32 method?  The field is not be added to the screen or is the image not adjusted as desired?  What values are the scale by?

    I recommend having a look at this post.

  • Question of screen Orientation

    I can't understand how to change how the screen orientation changes when I move my x 201 laptop mode to Tablet mode. As it is, when I close it for a Tablet, the screen becomes portrait, however I would like to change to make it reverse landscape (i.e. the computer mode unlike portable 180 degrees).

    I studied the topic online and I can't find answers, does anyone know how to do this?

    There are 2 methods to configure (assumes that you are using Windows 7):

    1. Go to control panel > Lenovo Tablet utility > Auto Screen Rotation.
      (be sure to this Menu Popup Tablet is installed, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67219 )
    2. Go to control panel > Tablet PC settings > display (tab) > click on 'Go to Orientation', then you can see "Orientation sequence settings" there.
  • 9900 screen orientation problem

    Hello. I had a problem on problem of orientation.  Only 9900 real device got this problem (the other deivce is ok as Simulator 9810 and 9900 also ok.).

    I put the direction of the screen like this: Ui.getUiEngineInstance () .setAcceptableDirections (Display.DIRECTION_PORTRAIT);

    But management screen show always reason to 9900.

    Did someone also get this problem?

    Pls share the solution. Thank you very much.

    This is perhaps because previous models could not rotate the screen -?  Only touch screen models.

    All other models are either a touchscreen where North is the same as the Portrait is a non touchscreen where the display is always North either portrait or landscape.

    So just check AccelerometerSensor.isSupported (), and if that returns false, you know it will always be in the North either portrait or landscape.

    If what you're trying to do is to make the display always be oriented as when the phone is held normally, then set the acceptable to the north direction, and it should behave the same on everything... except that the Storm, the display does not obey a command to move a certain way, it will remain however is that the app was started , but then lock in the North, if the user does rotate this portrait.

  • iPad, screen Orientation change without moving the iPad? An application perhaps? Is this possible?

    I would like to have the ability to change the orientation of the screen without physically rotate the iPad vertically.

    Here's what I mean.

    I have the iPad on the desktop and I want to check the email in landscape mode, I move on the table horizontally to landscape mode and orientation should change. It is not for the moment. I have to raise the iPad on the table and to change the direction from Portrait to landscape and when I go back to an application demanding in portrait mode, I have to again raise the iPad on the table.

    I was wondering if there is a utility app that allows the switch without raising the iPad and turning to change direction.

    Hello amitkapila2,

    Yes a few apps will change your orientation when you start them. Try roating your iPad in landscape ounces landscape enable locking focus on the home screen (in the last control center) and then launch the application of it rotates so it's the app.

  • Portege M700 will not change the screen orientation

    I installed the driver for the webcam for the M700, and every time I install it, I get the same error message:

    "Open Webcam driver fail - please restart camera or computer."

    I reinstalled the drivers of many times, and it still does not work.

    Therefore, I tried the msconfig method, disabled all the startup process and then reactivated their.

    The webcam shows the same error message, and now the screen will not change orientation when I rotate the screen.

    You try to use Windows XP Home edition or what? Generally, each laptop comes with preinstalled and configured operating system.

  • HP tm2 - 1079cl screen orientation button does not function 8 windows

    I have a laptop Hp TM2 - 1079CL.

    The button of the direction of rotation/change screen located on the right edge of the screen, under the fingerprint reader does not.  Can I use the driver windows 7?  Assuming I understand that you control the button.

    Fresh installation of 64-bit Windows 8.

    Already running Windows 8 consumer Preview Edition upgrade to Windows 7.  No problem with the orientation of the screen. During insatall to win 8, there was no offer to save files or upgrade the operating system.

    I think there may be subtle between the Tx2 and Tm2 differences since I only have one button on the side of the RT. of the displayfor screen rotation.  I found the (32-bit) quick launch buttons, running in task mgr but nowhere does elsewhere that it is running.  The mobility Center rotates the screen.  It provides only 2 choices landscape and landscape upside down.  The button would do the two portrait. (sequence through each mode when the button is pressed.)  I can use the option of mobility as a workaround if necessary.
