migrate the repository EAS of development to Production Server

I want to export repository Services Admin Essbase and import it into the repository of service Regional de Production. This can be done? There are configuration changes I need to do after that?

Somehow, I can't help but think it's a dig at me to not give you exactly what you wanted.
The original question asked on the migration of the repository that I gave advice, he doesn't even mention business rules or he mentions a version even EAS is running.

See you soon

  • Something different about the API in a developer vs Production Eloqua?

I just created a developer Eloqua (with Technology Partner Program of the Eloqua) account and went to connect my application to this developer account through the API.  I can enter my login details, but then I don't see any of my lists of contacts or data of this developer account cards.  I previously worked with Eloqua production accounts and could connect and find lists of contacts and maps of data without problem.  Now, with the developer account I can connect but don't see any contact lists or data cards.  I confirmed that my developer account user has the API security group, and that my lists of contacts and data cards have access read/write for my user.

Is there something different about the API in a developer account?  I must say Eloqua to activate the API for this account, or is the different API endpoint?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hi Scott,.

Could check you if the permissions of security group for the Security API Group provide access to maps data & Contact lists? I do not have access to an instance of dev, but this is the first place where I'd look.

  • Migrate the host ESX to vSphere 4.0 Server 4.1

    Hi all

I have 2 vSphere environments. A server vSphere 4.0, and 3 ESX 4.0 host. Another with vSphere 4.1 server with 3 hosts ESXi 4.1. I want to migrate ESX 4.0 mailboxes to the new server for vSphere 4.1. Assuming that I have licenses installed locally on the boxes, and I squared away vSphere licensing, what would be the best way to migrate the host?

I would simply ' right click-> delete ', then 'right click-> add a host' on the Server 4.1?

    Thanks in advance.

the best way to do so is in vCenter 1, right-click and disconnect the host and then delete host.  In vCenter2, "add host".  This will move the hosts and their guests to the new instance without interruption.

  • Oracle 11i - configuration of migration from development to production

What is the recommended method to migrate the following configuration from development to production?
automated tools? I tried Oracle planning, but I think it does not help much.

    (1) executable configuration
    (2) simultaneous program + configure settings of
    (3) updates of the application groups
    (4) fast code (all modules)
    (5) the profile options
    (6) files in the directory of the module (report oracle, sqlplus, etc.)

    First choice is FNDLOAD.
    See http://ioraclefusion.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/understanding-of-fndload-program/

He's going to do a lot of what you're asking. The above link gives a good idea.

For executables such as RDF, .sql etc. it is necessary to do it manually or use tools such as PVC.

During the research, if planning has not worked for you, you will have to do it manually.

  • The repository migration: how to upgrade 'Status to deploy' in the control center

    Hi all

I use the 10.2.0.4.36 client version
We had to migrate the repository and also we have exported schemas (therefore, the tables and packages) in a new location.
I would like to know if there is a way to update the 'deploy status' at 'Deployed', because the Brie is there and in the control center of the State appears as 'new '.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,.
the only legal method of 'update deployment status' of mapping in the new environment is rolling out these mappings in OWB Control Center Manager.
It is the only scheme not enough target of import/export to the new environment.

  • migrate the EMP 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2

    Hai,

We must move the emp planning & essbase 11.1.1.3 a 11.1.2
    I found in epm_1112000_readme.pdf
"This version is slated for new deployments only. Upgrading or migrating from previous versions of EPM system is not supported. In addition, products of this version are not compatible with the products and applications from previous versions. »

I question how can migrate EMP 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2? If possible, please show me the document or the example

Even when 11.1.2.1 out eventually I let yet freshing install 11.2.x due to the amount of changes in the architecture.
Migration is not a problem so much that have a good understanding about the items to move, you can migrate the repository using LCM or planning.

  • How to migrate the production to the server in recovery planning disaster?

We use planning 11.1.1.3 Oracle repository. Currently our name of the DR Planning Application is different from the production name and Windows of the DR server names are different from Production. Otherwise, any other configuration even.

How to migrate production planning to the recovery server disaster? We stopped planning on DR server. Then we exported repository Oracle of production planning and it imported in DR Planning. We restarted Dr. DR planning planning seems to work very well, but I'm afraid to click on "Refresh planning" DR Planning - it can update the Production Server. So, how can I be sure that DR and Production planning are disconnected?
Is there something we need to do? This method seems to be faster than the migration with LCM.

Published by: Essbase Fan on October 18, 2010 10:11

You must go about it the right way, if you migrate all planning an application, I agree that it is a safer and faster way.
The essbase connection information is stored in the planning system database/schema, so as long as you have not migrated that then you should be good to refresh.
To put your mind at rest, connect to the planning application and change the source of data associated with the application and then you will see where the essbase server is that it's going to update.

  • Migration of the repository from one server to another

    Hi all

We have components Hyperion (EPMA, planning, EAS, HFR, SSP) and SQL server on the same server. Now we intend to migrate SQL to another server.
Here are some questions I have:

1 we need to reconfigure the components individually?

    2. what difference it make by selecting the option ' Drop and recreate tables "/"reuse existing database.
and what db do we need to select the option "to drop and recreate tables" / "reuse existing database?

    3. How can we upgrade / reconfigure EPMA planning application on the new server databases?

    Thank you
    Nainitha.

    Hello

1.Do we need to reconfigure components individually?

I think it depends on how you have configured your existing environment. If you used the separate database for the different components you will need to reconfigure again, and then select the option * "Perform Configuration at the time of the first" * so that you can update the connection information, and then select * "reuse existing database."

2.what difference it makes selecting the option "Drop and recreate tables" / "Reuse the existing database".

Well, if you choose * "Drop and recreate tables" *, all the tables that are going to happen and it would be as good as a new installation. If you have any planning application in your existing environment, it is not available when you perform reconfiguration and select this option. In addition, you would not be able to view data etc. Forms you currently use.

for what db's do we need to select the option "Drop and recreate tables" / "Reuse the existing database" ?

I think that you should select * "Reuse existing database" * for all components as you move the database to another machine, so that it updates only the relevant information.

3.How can we update/reconfigure EPMA Planning application Databases to new server?

Copy all databases which is used as a source of data to the new machine. Once you have configured the components, you would be able to display the data source in the workspace. Update the information in this regard.

    Thank you.

  • Mobile application development to production planning

    Hello

We have created the new production as a clone of development environment. All components are installed exactly the same.

Shared version 9.3.1 planning, essbase, fin reporting, services etc... RDBMS Oracle. All components of hyperion on Windows, RDBMS on Linux.

Target server is similar, hyperion on windows, RDBMS on Linux.

I wish to make the planning application (data, dataform, security, RDBMS, etc) from development to Production:

T1) was I need to migrate the Application? (shared services, essabse, data, RDBMS, planning) etc.

    OR

Q2) should I use backup recovery? (all relevant records, data, security, dataform, business rule, Calc script)

    T3) anything else?

As I know, the migration is the right choice, but when we move on different OS, here target and source OS are similar.

    Concerning
    Kumar

It's always the same concept and almost the same migration process of the application of planning through the same version, the only real difference is that you improve the planning with the key to migrate application.

If you migrate the shared services and then use the CSSImportExport utility.
Essbase copy objects such as rules, calc script, report scripts, export data, import into the target.
Export business of EAS, import into target rules

  • How to migrate the relationship between two different epm versions.11.1.1.4 - 11.1.2.3

Hello, we intend to make an hors-place upgrade to our 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.2.3 environment. The only thing stopping us is the question of how to migrate 11.1.2.3 11.1.1.4 reports. We have already considered the following options

    (1) LCM, LCM is taken in charge only between the same versions are at - it another way.

    (2) I know there is an option to export reports in the workspace, but the disadvantage that is that each report must be exported at the same time (atlease how it is in 11.1.1.4). And we have far too many reports to make them one at a time.

    (3) I have also considered the possibility of replicating data in the repository Directory (HYPERION_HOME\products\Foundation\workspace\data\RM1_Servername) of 11.1.1.4 to be used as the repository directory in the new version, assuming that reports and data analysis means the reports too. However after doing this I have connected to the new environment and could not see any of the reports.

What other options are there to migrate the reports. Help, please.

No need to delete tables as databases configured on the vesion as well, if you go to the bottom of the road upgrade data replication then select "Upgrade existing to the current version of 11.1.1.4 databases" when not to configure the database.

Thanks for the reply of John, I looked at this option. But if I select this option if it does not affect the current 11.1.1.4 environment? Because it is an output level on the spot and we will be maintaining the old environment until we get the new environment to match the old. Thanks again.

Clone the existing 11.1.1.4 databases, point to the clone.

Documentation that should be studied - + "You can reuse the data and the existing database, or replicate the database and data to a new machine." +

  • Migrate the Service sharing user/group in 11.1.2 release

    Hello

I need to migrate my users and groups set up in service shared (from DEVELOPMENT to PRODUCTION) in Hyperion 11.1.2 release.
In the previous version, I used utility import/export of css, but in version 11.1.2 I know OpenLDAP finally fall down and replaced with RDBMS (thanks John for your great blog!).

I need a confirmation that, in order to migrate successfully (without the use of LCM), another option would be to copy / relational tables form the shared service (css * tables)

I thank you and appreciate your comments!

    RGS,
    Robert

Why you want to use LCM? It would be a much safer option than to try to copy the tables that security is led ID and may differ between environments.

  • Problem with the migration of key primary and foreign from SQL Server to Oracle

Hi people, I use SQL Developer to migrate Oracle to a SQL database, and I'm stuck with a few questions:

So far, the worst of them is the fact that I can not migrate the PKs and FKs. After having successfully captured the model DB in SQL Server and Oracle conversion, when the tool generates scripts, all ALTER TABLE queries that add pharmacokinetics and the FKs have their columns duplicate targets.

for example: when I'm trying to migrate a simple table that contains an Id (PK) and the columns name, the tool generates the following scripts:

    PROMPT create Table TestTable...
    CREATE TABLE TestTable)
    ID NUMBER (10,0) NOT NULL,
    Name VARCHAR2 NOT NULL
    );

The PROMPT create constraint primary key on the table TestTable PK_TestTable...
    ALTER TABLE TestTable
    ADD CONSTRAINT PK_TestTable PRIMARY KEY
    (
    ID,
    ID
    )
    ENABLE

Regarding the FKs, the tool duplicates the columns thus:

    ALTER TABLE SomeTable
    ADD CONSTRAINT FK_SomeTable_SomeTable2 FOREIGN KEY
    (
    SomeTable2Id,
    SomeTable2Id
    )
    REFERENCES SomeTable2
    (
    ID,
    ID
    )
    ENABLE
    ;

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve these problems? I would be very grateful for answers!

    Hi Fernando,

I was unable to reproduce this problem. My primary / foreign keys when defined using unique columns.

The PROMPT create constraint primary key on the suppliers table PK_Suppliers...
    ALTER TABLE suppliers
    ADD CONSTRAINT PK_Suppliers PRIMARY KEY
    (
    Vendor No.
    )
    ENABLE
    ;

I tried a few things like
capturing twice and rename the two models of the same
    Rename the converted templates
    but without success.
I think that this problem occurs is in the capture phase or convert.

    (1) you perform the capture online or offline?
    (2) can provide you a DDL together for one of these tables and the indexes to see if I can reproduce?
    (3) made of capture or convert fail or be again at any stage?

I all else fails I would attempt a capture and convert again using a new repository (create a new schema in Oracle and associate him the migration repository).

    Kind regards

If yes - that someone can say when it will be available.

Well, there is no need to open multiple threads on the same topic, just to bump existing thread.

Anyway, only Oracle employees may have this information so your best chance is to create the Service Request(if you have support account).

But don't expect much, Oracle policy is to withhold the release date for their products.
