Migration of the repository of security in a Production environment

Hi, I use jdev11g and I'm trying to deploy and app with authentication and authorization of weblogic 10 gr 3, I'm looking at the "migration of the repository of security in a Production environment" section an i do not find these settings and other parts of this section: "

fromCredStore the name of the identifying information from the source store service instance listed in the entrance to jps-default context (identified by the name of your application)
fromPolicyStore the name of the source store service instance listed in the entrance to jps-default context (identified by the name of your application)
srcFolderLocation the path to the file local cwallet.sso
destFolderLocation the path to the target cwallet.sso file
srcFolderLocation the path to the file local jazn-"Data.xml"
destFolderLocation the path to the target system-jazn-"Data.xml" file

I have no problem deployment of authentication only, the problem is when I use the option "authentication and authorization" for security, I can't log in to any user that I have defined, as the error page, I set you only identical to the login page and it returns me to the page of connection/error all the time connect with any user I defined.
I wonder is there any link or video with an example of this, cause there seems little complex, thanks in advance.

Hello

Please report to us. In fact, we are developing a tutorial Oracle for example covering the safety of the ADF. There is no video or other of the documentation

If I understand correctly, then you will need to make your online security config in your dev environment, checkin and then the RPD. After moving to the following environment, just resynchronize the GUID.

  • Migration of the repository from one server to another

    Hi all

We have components Hyperion (EPMA, planning, EAS, HFR, SSP) and SQL server on the same server. Now we intend to migrate SQL to another server.
Here are some questions I have:

1 we need to reconfigure the components individually?

    2. what difference it make by selecting the option ' Drop and recreate tables "/"reuse existing database.
and what db do we need to select the option "to drop and recreate tables" / "reuse existing database?

    3. How can we upgrade / reconfigure EPMA planning application on the new server databases?

    Thank you
    Nainitha.

    Hello

1.Do we need to reconfigure components individually?

I think it depends on how you have configured your existing environment. If you used the separate database for the different components you will need to reconfigure again, and then select the option * "Perform Configuration at the time of the first" * so that you can update the connection information, and then select * "reuse existing database."

2.what difference it makes selecting the option "Drop and recreate tables" / "Reuse the existing database".

Well, if you choose * "Drop and recreate tables" *, all the tables that are going to happen and it would be as good as a new installation. If you have any planning application in your existing environment, it is not available when you perform reconfiguration and select this option. In addition, you would not be able to view data etc. Forms you currently use.

for what db's do we need to select the option "Drop and recreate tables" / "Reuse the existing database" ?

I think that you should select * "Reuse existing database" * for all components as you move the database to another machine, so that it updates only the relevant information.

3.How can we update/reconfigure EPMA Planning application Databases to new server?

Copy all databases which is used as a source of data to the new machine. Once you have configured the components, you would be able to display the data source in the workspace. Update the information in this regard.

    Thank you.

  • On the VSAN architecture in production environment

    Hi guys.

What is the best architecture VSAN for a production environment?

All in one VSAN witch cluster storage and VM on the same cluster or node have a VSAN cluster 2 cluster and another with a virtual machine, only that store a virtual disk on the VSAN cluster?

    Thanks in advance.

If I understand the question, then you don't have the choice with the current versions of the VSAN.

In order to access the database VSAN, the virtual machine must be deployed to an ESXi host computer that is part of the VSAN pole.

The VSAN data store can be exported outside to ESXi hosts that do not participate to the VSAN cluster.

  • The repository migration: how to upgrade 'Status to deploy' in the control center

    Hi all

I use the 10.2.0.4.36 client version
We had to migrate the repository and also we have exported schemas (therefore, the tables and packages) in a new location.
I would like to know if there is a way to update the 'deploy status' at 'Deployed', because the Brie is there and in the control center of the State appears as 'new '.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,.
the only legal method of 'update deployment status' of mapping in the new environment is rolling out these mappings in OWB Control Center Manager.
It is the only scheme not enough target of import/export to the new environment.

    Kind regards

  • Security of the repository

    Hello

We use a MUD environment for the development of the repository. All developers must be part of the Administrators group? This seems too much access.

I thought that we would manage access by using projects. Why all developers should be administrators for the repository?

    Thank you

    Hello

My understanding is that you must belong to the Administrators group in order to log in to the administration tool. Therefore, this could be the reason why you make sure that the user belongs to the administrator group before you add projects in the configuration of the MUD. Also, with mud, you control each user has access to what parts of the repository.

You can follow the link below to learn more about the installation of the MUD.

  • Migration Manager HBR to Calc security rules

    Hi gurus,

I migrated / converted rules v.11.1.2.1 in the form of rules Manager Calc HBR in v.11.1.2.4 in exporting the HBR of EAS rules (using export to rules Calc option) and the same import manager of Calc.

Now I have to migrate security rules HBR in Calc target Manager. I went through the link https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/hp_admin/frameset.htm?ch03s15.html

but I got a bit confused as where exactly the HBRmigratesecurity.bat retrieves the source of security information, HBR rules.

Could you confirm on this point please?

    Thank you

    Siva

    Hi John,.

You are right. But the fact is that I was actually waiting for / confused, when we move the HBR rules at Calc Manager, we need to export the EAS rules by selecting the option "for Calc Manager" in which security information will not be there.

So, to migrate security, once more we will have to export the EAS rules without selecting the option "Calc Manager" and then run the HBRmigratesecurity.

Please let me know if there is another way.

    Thank you

  • Migrate to the new data center

    Hi all

I want to migrate to a display of a new data center environment in a different physical location.

I like to keep the original ip addresses and FQDNs.

Is it best practice for this type of migration methods?

I have two drivers, composer, brokers security server, 160 related clones with persistent records.

We do not have a connection in fiber between the sites, so cannot perform a rebalancing.

There will be a cut-over on the last weekend.

    Concerning

    John

You can use something like veeam vSphere replication to copy virtual machines to the other site and then just turn the 'old' off the coast and the new ones on. Your biggest problem will be changing hosts. Only other option might be to physically move the old hardware to the new site. Persistent drives will be a pain. I would like to have more useful for you answers.

  • ODI-10182: Exception not classified over access to the repository

    Hello gurus,

I'm new to ODI... Recently, I installed ODI 11.1.1.6.0 on OEL5 and also setup the demo environment.
ODI client installed on my windows machine and trying to access the demo environment by giving the following details according to the getting started document:

    Connection Oracle Data Integrator:
Login name: Getting Started - ETL project
    User: SUPERVISOR
    Password: SUNOPSIS

    Database connection (master repository):
    User: its
    password: (blank)
List of drivers: driver Hypersonic Sql
    Driver name: org.hsqldb.jdbc.JDBCDriver
URL: jdbc:hsqldb:hsql: / / (from the IP address of server where ODI is installed)
    Working repository: WORKREP

When I click test... I get an error "invalid repository connection.

Here are the details of the error:

Hi, I know why you get the question
This is because the data for the working repository server use "jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://localhost".

You must do the following steps:
    (1) for the connection of the repository, first of all, make only one master repository link
    2) connect to the master repository, open your working repository, where it is supposed to give an error box because she is unable to connect to database server backen
    3) click on the 'connect' button in the editor to open the editor of data server, modify the jdbc url to ' jdbc:hsqldb:hsql: / /", then save"
    (4) close your session, change your repository connect, do connect to the repository of the work
    (5) connection, everything works fine
